Have to share. Hubby loaded the app on our iphone. We were watching this morn. I said "OFGS Side bar again". He said "Salad bar - what salad bar". OH, I was in tears.

Note - this is the first time DH really watched it and had no clue what a side bar is. I'm now going to refer to them as Salad Bars :)

What a great way to start the day!

Hugs,

Mel

I think they have to.

This is too big a :worms: from the Defense for them to ignore it.

But we know what will happen if the SA put Kronk up first before these crime scene people? It would go on for days and Baez would never sit down - it would be boing, objection, overruled, boing objection overruled boing objection overruled, and then cross would be a nightmare.

Seriously I think it is very clever of the SA to get the crime folks up there to testify about the roots, how the bones were scattered, the evidence of scavengers, how many bones were found and over what size of territory, and how long it took them to collect them, plus the degradation of the duct tape, etc., well before Baez gets up and starts his piffle.

It's only logical....:great:

We shall see. I still think that SA won't put Kronk on the stand...although they may during rebuttal, but not their CIC.

Have always found your posts interesting and thought-provoking. :)

Again, please let me say that this post is *not* meant to disrespect anybody here. I read all your posts and have learned so much!

Why does everyone pick on JB so much? I get it: he's the bad guy because he's defending ICA. But isn't he just doing his job? Doing what he was hired to do?
I can't stand JB because of his demeanor and behavior, not because he is defending a baby killer (although I don't know how he sleeps at night..) However, there are some defense attorneys who can defend a clearly guilty person and still appear likeable and even convincing at times. I was SURE OJ was guilty during his trial, but damn if his defense team didn't sometimes make me question myself. It was long ago, but I remember the defense being likeable and relatable...and the State being the opposite (if anyone can refresh my memory). With JB, he comes off hostile to each and every witness, even people that were just simply doing their job and presenting evidence of labs/pictures/etc. that they took. He wants to accuse EVERYONE of having an ulterior motive... that just doesn't always work. The Jury are regular people who take all of that into consideration. Like Bill Schaeffer says "Sometimes a lawyer just needs to know when to stop talking" He always looks smug, actually argues with the judge over objections, is argumentative, etc. He's just not likeable in the least bit, IMO. If he was on the Prosecution team and behaving this way, I still wouldn't like him.

All that being said, I'm so glad he is defending Casey! lol

I am a little disappointed that they did not pixelate the scene photos- they could have pixelated out the skull but I want to see just how dense the area was and how the evidence around the skull looked so that I can put into context the DT theories as well as how much vegetation was there. I wonder why they made the decision to not show anything at all...
Maybe they weren't able to do that in real time and will when they archive the video.

Dislike JB because this happened 3 years ago - and 6 weeks ago after extensive searches, tons of people being accused and abused who came in contact with ICA they come up with an accidental drowning as opening statement. Ineffective IMO almost bordering on insanity that his client would sit in jail for 3 years if he is to be believed.

Not to mention his opening remarks re George Anthony.

Forgot to mention all the money people donated to this cause plus the money the taxpayers of FL are spending on him and his client.

Out of boredome yesterday, I went back and read some of the early defense motions. Even reread the "defense team letter of cooperation" the mastermind JB wrote to LEO. Quite funny now. So much like his client....was he lying then, or now....oh wait, his lips are moving.

I especially liked the one where he filed a motion to get his client out of jail to go on a special field trip to show him all the places Zani had the child...hmmmmm

I cutted the foilage to get a looksy at the goingsons of the tree people....

I am just saying that to me, who does not know all of what went down, it is suspcious. Most times, you will see the person who found remains on the stand. And now I did hear JB ask about calls months earlier from Kronk, so am wondering about that.

I don't know if people who find remains are usually called, but whether the state calls Roy first, or the defense does, the state will get to (cross)-examine. I really don't think there's anything suspicious about it because it's not possible for the state to hide evidence or to keep witnesses from testifying. If they don't think he can deliver any significant contribution to their case, they don't have to call him. And as for the defense asking the police to investige Roy. I don't know it works in America, but here the police and the state do not take orders from the defense. If so, they'd be doing their jobs to solve crimes while also coming up with theories to set the criminals free for the defense. JB, just want to win this case, and he'll do pretty much anything to do so.

Jean Caserez crying on IS describing crime scene photots. You could hear the distress in her voice, visably shaken. Turned her face to the side to regain her composure. Said it was nothing like she envisioned. "It was bad."

So we have a new Baez word of the day...

CUTTED

What can the jury think of this guy when he can't even speak properly? It's just a joke.

Nice second grade command of the english language eh?

I think I just insulted some second graders....

Or spell....drilling the doctor about not being a chemist, gets up and can't spell magnesium so he abbreviates it and laughs!!

I'm really not trying to be ugly/snarky but ICA at time appears to have horns(forehead) on my laptop.

I think I see that too. The muscles in her forhead. I've noticed them on Lee too. They do tend to appear like horns on ICA's forhead. Maybe stress related? I don't think I've noticed that on anyone before watching this trial. (Usually it is the vein in the middle of the forhead when someone is rather angry).

JC is tearing up describing the pictures... basically saying it was a horrible scene to find a child's body in. Said there were a lot of different stages of vegetation around the remains

LOL WKMG TV-6 live feed is showing newslady getting ready to go live.

What she don't know is she is streaming all over internet.

fixing hair, pulling at dress needs to stand on other side can't cause of DOT monitor, twirling hair now.

It appeared to me that she was over it as soon as JB got up for his cross. If she was truly that distraught she would have still been crying when everyone went to lunch.

May have even melted into him and emotionally fell apart. But, SHE DIDN'T she directed her deputies to remove her from the court room. She'd had enough acting and wanted lunch...would love to hear what she chose to eat today.

I try so hard to distance myself from the victim, Caylee. Today, after watching JC get emotional, the dams I have put up, are gone. OMG. I try so very very hard to distance myself to get through this. I hear about the condition her remains were found in, I just remember my father dying. How my brother went into the room and there was just a sheet over his body, and tubes from how the paramedics tried to revive him...and I get thrown back into the WORST day of my life...getting a phone call at work to hear from my brother that my father had died in his sleep. I just remember asking, "Well he's not dead...they are working on him, right?" and hearing the answer, "Nicole, he was cold."

wftv has a full list of the state's witnesses on their site at one point and I don't remember seeing Kronk on the list...I tried looking for it again and can't find the full list anymore...I'll look some more.
