I think that it would be dumb to try to say that he planted the body in August. If finding and then stealing this body, according to the defense motive, I doubt that he would leave her there in August and not force the police to find her until December. Too many people searching for her to take the chance that someone else could find her and cash in his lottery ticket.

That said, I am unimpressed that she just stopped this trial dead in it's tracks. I see this becoming a habit.
