Maybe JB snuck something off of the "Dessert Lady's" tray for her.

i wish upon wish we could veiw the photos...I have a little bit of trouble with the tape evidence...just because I am having trouble visualizing exactly how the tape was positioned in relation to the skull, upon finding the remains.

it seems like, although it was still attached it was in a juxt position to the skull, until the skull was lifted or righted, and then it fell handily into what is thought to be the original position.

is this correct?

once they tie the duct tape to the the Anthony home...it will feel more possible or likely.

:twocents: After hearing various witnesses and ultimately Dr Warren, I took it that the duct tape was still clearly across the mouth area, being more adhered to the hair mass on the right side than on the left, but not completely wrapped around the head. The tape's adhesive was completely gone and no witness has claimed the tape was adhered to the bone. IIRC Dr Utz testified that the tape was removed by cutting it away from the hair mass and once the tape was removed the mandible separated easily.

The fact that the mandible was still in place after complete decomposition, animal activity and likely submerged under water suggests the tape was holding the mandible in place like a sling........

I have been previewing some of the video of the trial today. They need to boot Baez off of questioning and stick CM on it permanently from here on out. At least I can stand to listen to him....lol

I'm hard pressed to think of more than a just a few things I've watched on live TV that were more compelling than what I witnessed today - that being 'Dr G' turn a cross examination into a knock out blow for the prosicution. It was mesmerizing on so many levals.

I've never heard of Dr G before & her show doesn't air in my area. The lady is a champ at the top of her game. There's no doubt that after today she'll be a house hold name. She devestated Cheney Mason in more ways than one ...

Which brings me to Cheney Mason. I was glad to see him finaly start handling some of the cross; he's a REAL attorney, has had a long distinguished career & made it feel like a real trial & not a freak show ( you know who I'm talking about). Today we basically saw the end of his court room career. Like a boxer past his prime, he was pummeled senseless, never landed even a week blow, didn't even have the strength to keep his hands up to block & finaly went down. Personaly, I can seperate him from his client; he's just a lawyer doing his job - & on that leval you have to have some compassion for him. Like Ali on the canvas at the end of his boxing days, it's all over. So I do feel sorry for him.
As for the new champ, the good Dr, if I ever hear of another case she's sceduled to appear in, I'll definitly tune in. There's nothing like watching a pro at the top of their game.

From a September 2010 article..

"The tape was not adhered to any part of this child -- just some of her hair. The rest is not accurate," defense attorney Cheney Mason said.

It would appear that Mr. Mason was incorrect!

IMO any soft tissue that may have originally adhered to the duct tape would have fully decomposed just as the rest of the soft tissue had. (that was hard to type).

There is no way I can believe a few strands of hair would be strong enough to hold the mandible in place. Especially after the experts have testified it is very rare to find the mandible in place. EVEN IF the hair was strong enough to hold the mandible in place, I would expect more than a few strangs of hair to have been found on the duct tape. Because there were only A FEW STRANDS of hair on the tape, I can only conclude the tape was placed over the face allowing the mandible to be held in place and a few strands of hair just happened to be caught when the tape was being placed over Caylees face.

Does anyone know if GA and CA were in court today? I've not found any mention of them or photos on any news sites. Thanks!

Big Thank you to all who posted commentary and pictures! I could only watch the morning because of a meeting all afternoon. Channel 6 recreated a video showing caylee's face morphing into a skull and the duct tape going across - like the one shown in the court room. It is - horrific.
And ICA's behavior - she is really acting for the benefit of the jury - I am so disgusted. Hopefully, they see her for what she is. I cannot find the words to describe the anger I feel about the way she is acting in the courtroom.
I do think correctional staff have cracked down after her little episode yesterday. I am sure they saw through that immediately. She would not be the first to pull something like that.

Cindy and George were there yesterday, per Kathi Belich, but they left when it was announced that they would be showing graphic pictures. Today they did not show up at all.

Loved your post....I likened him to a creaky old man trying to get back on the football field just one last time....got to get in the game...and got his lunch eaten...but good!

I can't find a link at the moment, but didn't CM and JB both spout off to the media some time ago that there was NO duct tape? :waitasec:

Wasn't that one of Brad Conway's finer moments?:loser:

To me he's like the old drunk uncle at the family reunion you humor by letting him get up and tell his joke already and then hurredly send Cousin Joe over with the bottle to juice him up good and tight so hopefully pass out stage gets here quicker.

ETA: Shoot, sorry, this was a response to someone about Uncle Fester and I forgot to quote. Ya'll get my drift.

about :50 seconds (??) Brad Conway says that there "probably" was not duct tape wrapped around Caylee's head. He says "we know that there was no flesh and no hair attached to the duct tap" [WRONG!] "but that's what goes out to the media and that's what people assume to be true. And that's the unfair part."

I obviously haven't seen the pictures, but I think it is interesting how many talking heads and commentators have said how horrible and shocking the pictures were yesterday, and Vinnie P said it was the first time he thought it was really a DP case. Where were they in December, 2008? I have been shocked and horrified since I read that description. Did they just not believe it?

Also, this is the interview where Cindy says "bloggers typically are people that want to find fault with other things, because that's what they do. And that's how they spend their life and it's kind of sad. If they would use that energy into something positive like we're trying to do...you know..." trails off. (about 4:00)

O/T

I could use a little help. I had to get a new computer, and I decided on a Mac, which I know nothing about. I can't figure out how to go full screen on the trial and still keep WS up. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Oh I think the duct tape was also placed over her hair at the ends of the tape when it covered her nose and mouth. And when the tissue "slipped" (ack) as it disintegrated over the face the duct tape slid down past the face as did the hair to create the next at the base of the skull.
At least that was my understanding of what the expert was saying. IMO
