Yes but there was obvious neglect and obvious mental issues with the Mother...those alone would be grounds for an emergency custody hearing.

I personally can't say that, because I don't know that there issues of obvious neglect to CA. ICA says the child is with the Nanny, not left..well..wherever she WAS left. Perhaps CA had no reason to doubt ICA's word.

Let's not forget, WE are looking at all this in hindsight. CA wasn't. I truly believe that if she could go back and do things differently, she absolutely would.

No, that would be Rosie Bolin. No where to the found, thankfully.

Yes...but interesting to note that the JAC has paid her over $50k for the fiscal year 10-11.

NOT all on this case but interesting.

Hey  Mountain Kat

I understand what you are saying. But, why not just let Casey go do what she wanted to and keep Caylee safe?

She didn't have to get custody. Casey didn't want Caylee. Casey wanted to leave Caylee with her mom all the time.

But CINDY didn't want that...obviously. She cared more about making a STATEMENT to Casey about her lifestyle. A little TOO LATE Cindy.

She should have protected Caylee. Sorry. Technicalities are moot. IMHO.

Sorry Kat...none of this is directed at you or anyone here, of course! :blowkiss:

But then again....what was ICA doing that would allow her to leave.....STEAL from whomever--that wouldn't have supported her---Caylee was the tool to money----

Can I just say that I heart Doc Fessel!!! Just when it gets somber and sad you pop in with your heart warming levity ((and your craaaaaazy avatar!!!))

Me too!! I still chuckle over "give that girl a snort of chlorform and get the show on the road":floorlaugh:

JC from IS just reported that when ICA left the courtroom, she recovered very quickly, in time for lunch.

Hopefully they'll call Tim Miller as a witness and he'll say the area was under water (as it was after torrential rains brought forth by Tropical Storm Fay) and that he didn't want to search with his equipment there while the water levels were too high for fear of ruining any evidence. Remember, Caylee was out there for at least 31 days before Tropical Storm Fay..before the area, which is low-lying like a retention pond, was drench...and that left plenty of time for the animals to get to her. Then the storm came before anyone really had an opportunity to search there. I remember because the storm happened before Texas Equusearch got out there, when some were just doing private searches.

Not to mention the dense vegetation and the tiny bones. Caylee's body could have been completely decomposed within just a few weeks due to the extreme heat and the dampness of that area.

I'm actually pretty amazed she was ever found.

I am saying they should have let Casey do what she wanted, let her be gone for long stretches of time, let her drop off the face of the earth.

Why didn't they just keep Caylee? If you loved her, you would just say, okay Casey whatever you say....let her LEAVE and GO where EVER she PLEASED but Caylee would be SAFE and in her arms.

I DO NOT understand.

Jean Casarez saying the jurors are not looking at ICA. I think that's a good sign for a guilty verdict.

Chquita71 - what makes you think ICA wanted to go? She had free money, a car, room and board, clothing...her cell phone and computer - you think she wanted to hit the streets with nothing and start out on her own? No way. Once a grifter, always a grifter.

Caylee was her key to being provided for. Once she had her sights on Tony L. she didn't need Caylee anymore.

Many folks here at WS have suggested that Casey is a sociopath, and that's fine. I doubt there is anyone here who is qualified to "diagnose" Ms. Anthony, including myself. That said, I grew up with a Borderline sister and recognize many of the same characteristics in Casey. Borderlines see everything in black or white - there is no grey. They either love or hate anyone and everyone with whom they come in contact and can change colors at the drop of a hat.

One day, someone can be the Borderline's BFF while the next day, Casey wants to throttle that individual. Everyone tiptoes around the Borderline on eggshells because one never knows what "color" the Borderline sees. Family members live in fear of what the Borderline's next move will be - calling the police, threats of suicide, running away, etc. The "game" never ends because the Borderline always finds a way to get his/her ducks in a row, says "Jump!", and everyone asks, "How high?"

George and Cindy (and Lee) are no different from any other parents/siblings who have lived with a Borderline: They have lived in constant fear of Casey and have learned during the course of this trial that they may very well have been her next targets. jmo

Totally agree with your last paragraph - but that would extend, imo, to anyone who lives with a disordered person (cluster b specifically).

I know the Anthonys have come under much fire and some deservedly so but living with a disordered personality is a hell of a different kind. It doesn't excuse their actions but for a very long time you search for ways to 'understand' the DP because their actions, thoughts, words, deeds are just so foreign to your own. It's like trying to discern a language you feel you should know but you get stuck in the alphabet.

To be fair the cluster b disorders are very similar to one another and are often 'comorbid' - meaning she could be afflicted with a combination of histrionic, narcissistic, antisocial and/or borderline personality disorders. Comorbidity causes one disorder to 'bleed' into another.

< Respectfully Snipped>
It's my impression that KC didn't want CA to be involved with Caylee. She seemed jealous, imo.

iCA's sad face is actually an ANGRY face

imo because she is angry not sad

because she knows anger not grief nor sadness

as her primary response to life

she knows she should be sad

and is trying to look sad

but has no real exdperience in being sad

so, on her, a sad aspect is an angry one.

(hardly an original thought)

she is transparent

also it is interesting she blocks her airway during this testimony

shakespeare would dig it

But the manner has to be determined by an autopsy? I'll leave you alone after this.

Not necessarily. People who die from illnesses or "old age" don't usually require autopsies. Most people who die don't require autopsies, but the manner of death would still be noted .

Just had to take a moment and distract myself with the internet after watching my 3 year old niece who has big brown eyes push her baby doll stroller with one hand and twirl her fine brown hair with curls on the ends that falls about 2 inches below her shoulders with the other. *sigh*

On IS, Dr Perper (ME) says "There is no reason why tape would be placed on a dead person". His interview was a little confusing, but I DID get this statement loud and clear!

He also stated that the tape would have slipped off of Caylee's nose as the tissue disappeared. My words (Paraphrased).

Respecfully Quoted zoey

I don't think allowing Casey to steal was doing what would allow Casey to leave. That would only show that Cindy was okay with anything Casey did-which is EXACTLY what Casey thought and EXACTLY what happened.

Cindy did not want Casey to WIN more than she cared about keeping Caylee SAFE.

IMHO

:blowkiss: zoey I cannot make my emotions not show through my posts right now. I am sorry.

"Thanks" not enough - I think this is so so so key.

Again, ICA was an adult and had legal custody of Caylee. If she had packed Caylee up and left the Anthony's home there wouldn't have been squat they could have done about that. Try to get the child removed from ICA's custody, sure...but that is no simple matter, believe me. And it takes time.

If you are suggesting the Anthony's should have kidnapped Caylee...well...
