JC from IS just reported that when ICA left the courtroom, she recovered very quickly, in time for lunch.

I know bologna always perks me right up.

iCA's sad face is actually an ANGRY face

imo because she is angry not sad

because she knows anger not grief nor sadness

as her primary response to life

she knows she should be sad

and is trying to look sad

but has no real exdperience in being sad

so, on her, a sad aspect is an angry one.

(hardly an original thought)

she is transparent

I agree. She doesn't look sad at all to me. She looks royally ticked off.

I think Cindy was fighting with Casey to protect her. I had long held the opinion that Cindy was unwilling to face the monster she helped create. When she took the stand, she not only saw it, she saw the horrific results. It was the first time I'd ever seen her face it all. And she was not only defeated, she knew. You know? I saw a woman on the stand facing the full balance of the events of the short life of her granddaughter, and the past three years.

A harridan is hard to live with, and the dysfunction which arises.....well.

True. She does now know what kind of monster Casey is. My problem is that she NEVER had any sort of psych evaluation done on Casey or got her any sort of therapy, and I'm talking way before she was an adult. The lying started in middle school. That is the problem I've had. Okay, Casey was a lot to put up with, but you never tried once to figure what the problem actually was with her or that she had actual mental problems? You were too proud to get help? Was that not allowed in the Anthony family? That's what I get angry about. She didn't to do anything until it was way way WAY too late. And then Caylee paid the price for it.

I do agree that living with Casey was hard. But not trying to get help and just placating her all those years created a monster that would not let a child stand in her way of getting all of the attention from her family. CA and GA must have seen those reports and finally realized that there is something seriously mentally wrong with Casey - and again, way too late. But at least they are not trying to protect her anymore. I do give them points for that.

And I think about this - all of that stealing. They could have her arrested long before Caylee was murdered for the stealing. That would have got them custody of Caylee. But no, it was all a misunderstanding. So yes, there are things they could have done with an adult Casey to get custody of Caylee. And they didn't.

I personally can't say that, because I don't know that there issues of obvious neglect to CA. ICA says the child is with the Nanny, not left..well..wherever she WAS left. Perhaps CA had no reason to doubt ICA's word.

Let's not forget, WE are looking at all this in hindsight. CA wasn't. I truly believe that if she could go back and do things differently, she absolutely would.

I am sure that she would...but no thinking woman does not see her Grandchild who lives with her full time and has questioned the mother's lack of care for the child and does nothing for 30 days...I thank God everyday that she finally called 911...just knowing my situation...there were probably a million times in ICA's childhood that CA could have intervened and gotten help...her daughter needed it and her grand daughter died because she did not get it. I mean carp CA could have busted her on the theft of money and had her arrested. Gotten temp custody that way. :waitasec: I just know that these personalities do not exist in a bubble and yes you get handed your hat by a personality disordered person but eventually 999999% of people get it....this person is sick.

I hope Cindy writing in court is not a book.I will never buy or read that book.

He also stated that the tape would have slipped off of Caylee's nose as the tissue disappeared. My words (Paraphrased).
Thank you. That was my response also to the tape being loose on the skull, as CM noted in his cross.

Cindy would not want anyone to know that she has a sociopathic daughter. It reflects on HER.

I had a much longer post typed but I deleted it because I was angry rambling.

I feel this family is really caught up on "appearances" How does this look to others? Look back at those emails that CA had with her brother, she minimized and downplayed ICA's issues. I think that has been going on for forever with the whole family.

Of course then their whole world exploded under the weight of the giant microscope that was placed on them. Now they GA,CA and LA are wanting to be recognized as genuine. Kinda hard to do now. Should have been done when ICA was pregnant.

Jean Casarez saying the jurors are not looking at ICA. I think that's a good sign for a guilty verdict.

And, IMO, possibly a death penalty decision.

I'm no expert, but wouldn't a juror want to disassociate from someone for whom they wanted to recommend death?

I suspect HHJP abruptly called sidebar just as Dr. G was going to state manner of death was because Dr. G wasn't admitted as expert witness and to remind JA to this fact. We all know HHJP is concerned about appeal issues and doesn't want conviction thrown out on this issue. Makes sense to me that the sidebar was very short. :seeya:

I have an off the wall theory of why KC tends to wrap herself in sweaters or coverings during certain testimony...and its usually when the topic is about "Sweet Caylee"....I think KC gets chilled to the bone because Caylee's spirit is trying to hug her momma...and KC senses that Coldness right to the bone!!!

Okay..go ahead and laugh...Its just a theory:rocker:

I am saying they should have let Casey do what she wanted, let her be gone for long stretches of time, let her drop off the face of the earth.

Why didn't they just keep Caylee? If you loved her, you would just say, okay Casey whatever you say....let her LEAVE and GO where EVER she PLEASED but Caylee would be SAFE and in her arms.

I DO NOT understand.

My belief is that Cindy wanted it both ways in that she wanted to be with Caylee all the time but she also was determined to make Casey feel bad about being a bad mother. Cindy's feelings probably got the best of her at times and she went off on Casey, making Casey mad enough to punish Cindy at times by taking Caylee elsewhere.

One thing I don't understand is how Cindy could keep herself from insisting on meeting any nanny who was caring for Caylee, or even following Casey to find out if necessary, knowing that Casey was a liar and irresponsible.

Laci's mother, Sharon, wrote a book...

Yes and no....some of us saw through ICA from day 31. After watching for 3 years, I personally find it totally unbelievable CA did not know exactly what she was dealing with. Funny if it was denial, she was able to turn it off when she knew she would be up the creek with LE if she tried it during the trial. LE has the whole family right where they want them.

Again, ICA was an adult and had legal custody of Caylee. If she had packed Caylee up and left the Anthony's home there wouldn't have been squat they could have done about that. Try to get the child removed from ICA's custody, sure...but that is no simple matter, believe me. And it takes time.

If you are suggesting the Anthony's should have kidnapped Caylee...well...

 No. I am saying let Casey go where she wants. She wanted to be out all of the time. By Cindy fighting with Casey she forced Casey to make a choice and I do not believe Cindy really thought Casey would buck up.

Not after seeing ICA in her best performances.

I am not talking about custody. I am talking about PROTECTING Caylee. I don't have kids...so guess I can't understand...but if I had a daughter who was a party girl who did not take care of her child, I would let her go off where ever she wanted as long as the baby was SAFE with ME!

When a person, even a toddler, dies in a pool they sink to the bottom. I don't know how long it takes until the body floats. That just occurred to me today.

Respecfully Quoted zoey

I don't think allowing Casey to steal was doing what would allow Casey to leave. That would only show that Cindy was okay with anything Casey did-which is EXACTLY what Casey thought and EXACTLY what happened.

Cindy did not want Casey to WIN more than she cared about keeping Caylee SAFE.

IMHO

:blowkiss: zoey I cannot make my emotions not show through my posts right now. I am sorry.

I'm sorry, now I get it....I have gone thru a rough bout of insomnia and sometimes---I wasn't offended at all--I think we all come here based on our histories and thats was makes us care...and our emotions do speak out...

I'm doubtful that she will be sentenced to death, maybe because of her age? I AM sure she will be convicted. Her rage in the jail video has demonstrated her capability to murder.

See, I wondered this, too. But it seems like Jose went too far, in that if it was an accidental drowning (which from what I understand, he doesn't have to prove; only provide 'reasonable doubt' that the State's case isn't sound), he should have never had to worry about the forensics of how Caylee's body was finally discovered. In other words, why would he need to discredit how long Caylee was in those woods if his theory is she drowned and was discarded in an 'ugly coping moment' or by George?

I think the scenario is supposed to work something like this...KC neglects Caylee who then climbs into the pool where her grandma Cindy left the ladder up, George finds her dead, screams at KC, while not trying to resuscitate her, offers to dispose of his granddaughter, which he does so poorly Roy Kronk finds her, hides her in the woods to reap the benefits financially when he discovers her.

Did I miss anyone? Oh yes JG comes in and does her computer searches (possible).

Anyone wanna buy the Brooklyn Bridge...
