I'm not laughing. I hope you are correct.

I thought at first she might be cold, but the testimony at that moment was Caylee and her Winnie the Pooh blanket. I decided then that Casey wanted a blanket, too. Look at me! Don't think about Caylee. I'm the victim here. Look, I need to wrapped in my bankee and cuddle with my attorney, just like I did before with ALyon. So reminiscent.

Watching that attorney actually hug ICA and lay her face against the inmate’s hair made me physically cringe. Never have I seen so many defense attorneys petting their client. I can understand defending a guilty client, but to physically stroke them is more than I can stand to see. The people defending this wretch are nothing less than despicable. And if they think because they will touch her that we should see her as pitiful and falsely condemned then they have another think coming. Not all the stroking in the world can make her anything other than the monster she really is.

Also, I think it was Azlawyer that uploaded a picture of what a skull a child of Caylee's age would look like. I can't remember what thread, probably the duct tape one, but it was there. Seeing that might help you, MountainCat. It wasn't real skull, but it helped to see how big her head would have been, and then using imagination, how the duct tape would have looked around it. You also have to take into account the skin and tissue that would have been present and holding the tape much higher, so it would have fallen down a bit with just the skull there. I hope this wasn't too graphic for you. It must be hard just learning about all of this. I pray for people like you and the jurors!

You know darned good and well I can't look at stuff outside of trial. :banghead:

But, I also don't have the benefit to seeing the actual pictures shown in trial...so all I can do is go by what I hear. I heard this doctor state that he couldn't say whether or not duct tape had covered the nose cavity. Now...what am I supposed to do with that information? Assume something is a fact when clearly it isn't?

I think it was bondjamesbond that did most of the duct tape analysis, beach would know.

The mock juror strongly suggests WSers stop trying to tamper with her!

I have ?? why did they have her using toilet paper to blow her nose today??
I can't find tweet that stated she was using TP and Sims was helping her by tearing off manageable sizes ??

I did find this tweet
#CaseyAnthony is back with what looks like a fistful of toilet paper or kleenex.

#CaseyAnthony is using toilet paper to wipe her eyes. Dorothy Clay Sims just helped her tear some into manageable sheets.

Keeping in mind too that the fourth strip found by itself could very well have been around her wrists - that piece of tape had to have been put somewhere and where else is likely.

I never thought about that. That poor baby. One thing I wonder about is whether the hair was in the tape at the front... Like I wonder if her she was struggling with Casey and when casey was wrapping if her hair was down and she was passed out then it wouldnt be in the front. YKWIM?

I've been having trouble figuring out the duct tape too. I am trying to only go by the testimony and evidence presented in court. So, today I learned Dr. (sorry, forget name) CAN state that the duct tape covered the mouth, but he CAN NOT say it had ever covered the nose. That information is actually MORE helpful to me with respect to trying to figure the duct tape out.

But now I need to hear evidence wrt whether or not this tape could have been placed pre-mortum or post-mortem. I'm just waiting for right now.

That's exactly what I'm hoping to hear, too.

Yes, Doc Fessel and Lancelotlink keep us sane....

RL went a little bonkier around here these past few days - I had to duck out this morning, but was able to follow the thread (somewhat) on my phone. Dr. Fessel and I think it was Sleuths5 both managed to generate great snorts of laughter from me - which quite startled a number of folks around me. And Lance, well, that's a given...

Thanks for keeping it real.

I am so worried about this! Will the judge remind him to enter her formally as an expert witness? What if he hasn't noticed? What happens then?

What's up with Jeff? Is he off his game as there have been a few mistakes from him, not criticizing him but it is a bit worrying.

The question asked was not if the tape had been covering the nose, the question was could this doctor say the tape had covered the nose cavity. The answer was, he could not say.

I can't assume something out of thin air. Maybe she was killed by monkeys...but if experts can't show me evidence of a monkey...

The location of the "nasal cavity" is quite higher on the face than the nostrils would be. The duct tape was two inches wide, with two of the pieces stuck together in an overlapping manner (i.e. covering something much wider than just 2 inches).

Hey  Mountain Kat

I understand what you are saying. But, why not just let Casey go do what she wanted to and keep Caylee safe?

She didn't have to get custody. Casey didn't want Caylee. Casey wanted to leave Caylee with her mom all the time.

But CINDY didn't want that...obviously. She cared more about making a STATEMENT to Casey about her lifestyle. A little TOO LATE Cindy.

She should have protected Caylee. Sorry. Technicalities are moot. IMHO.

Sorry Kat...none of this is directed at you or anyone here, of course! :blowkiss:

Excellent post  You hit the nail on the head with good, common sense - it wasn't necessarily love for Caylee, it was one-upmanship. For shame to the entire Anthony family.

My opinion only

Another thing that bears consideration, at least in my mind, is that there seems to have been a rapid escalation in ICA's behaviour. New friends, new boyfriend, etc. So I don't think she had been really "out of control", in terms of partying, prior to that.

Just MO

Has that come up in the trial? Her recent ,compared to prior ,behavior?
I've missed a lot here and there.

Well, you're not actual juror, but I get the point of you not wanting to see anything outside of trial because you are acting as a mock juror. Sorry. You do have a point there. Let's hope that jury, actually seeing these pictures, can make the decision about the duct tape. And maybe Dr. G will have something to say about duct tape placement after lunch too.

That's exactly what I'm hoping to hear, too.

Are you thinking pre-mortem might be done to shut Caylee up, and post- mortem might be done to stage a kidnapping?

I'm just wondering why the fight with Cindy hasn't come up yet. Will the defense bring it up?

I think it would be insane for the defense team to bring it up. They are trying to make the jury believe that Caylee drown on the 16th. By bringing up the fight, they are only giving more evidence of a motive for killing Caylee.

No, you can assume that HE couldn't say because that isn't his expertise. So what you remember is not that the duct tape did not cover the nose, but that this witness did not know the answer to that question.
That's all. He couldn't say it did and he couldn't say it didn't.
We need a witness with a different type of education.
