So in your mind, Casey had no idea there was a dead body in her car? Despite the stench?

We have an entomologist who states with absolutely certainty that the body was placed in the trunk of the car very close to the time of death, and remained there, in active decompoistion, for 2-5 days. Who had possession of ICA's car during that time? Who had access to it? And how did ICA not notice this body during that time? The stench was, by all accounts, overwhelming.

In addition to that, did ICA not know her daughter was missing? Where did ICA think her daughter was? With GA? With a neighbor? Out having tea with her little playmates?

C'mon Trident...really?

I remember watching LP in the beginning, before Casey even got out and I believe he really thought Casey had given Caylee away to someone. He didn't believe the Imaginanny kidnapping business, but even then I wasn't totally sure that Caylee was dead...at that time I could buy that Casey gave her away.

As for Dr. Drew and Joy Behar, I don't either of them chose to cover the trial, I think they were told to. The ratings on the other HLN shows must be through the roof for the 24 hour coverage HLN is giving. Dr. Drew is okay with me, but they should leave Joy Behar out of it, I don't even watch her segments about the trial.

I used to enjoy Joy Behar now and again, as long as she stuck to what she's good at- light comedic interviews with interesting characters I would continue to watch- but she has NO business following this story, not least because she knows very little about it- and by 10pm I have had enough of ICA and I turn to another channel..

My guess is that the state didn't bring it up because it tested negative, and the defense doesn't want to draw any more attention to the shovel than they have to. I'm sure the DT would like the whole shovel borrowing testimony to disappear.

On a side note, I know very little about Roy Kronk, but did take note of the fact that the state seemed to go out of their way to avoid using him during Friday's testimony. Couldn't help but wonder why. Perhaps he is a shakey witness, and they opted not to use him if they could bypass him (which they did), or perhaps they simply didn't want to introduce him to the jury first. I don't know. Interesting, though.

I think the state opted not to put Roy Kronk on the witness stand after JB's opening statement. The state now knows that JB is going to somehow try to implicate Roy Kronk in moving/concealing Caylee's body. By putting him on the witness stand the state would have opened him up to a cross examination by the defense and the defense would seize the opportunity to muddy the waters.

I think the defense will be putting Roy Kronk on the witness stand during their case and it's going to get ugly!

Honestly I think the borrowing the shovel was all fake. This guy was usually not home but on vacation and I think she just knocked on the door to see if he was there and if nobody was home she was going to steal the gas out of his shed. When he answered the door the first thing that popped into her head was borrow a shovel.

Interesting. Do you think he HAD gas in his shed, or that it was not locked? IIRC, the shovel was hanging on the wall of the garage. Do you know if he even HAD a shed? Do you think he would leave his garage unlocked, if he didn't have a shed? Where did he keep the imaginary gas?

Cindy stares in the direction of the defense table for a long time.

The Inmate is seen on a laptop during a break - the light from the electronic device eluminates the Inmate's face while she has it in her lap, and looking around to see who is observing her doing this.

In reading this definition, I think there's some great direct evidence in this case, and tons of circumstantial. The remains and forensics provide quite a lot, imo. Just imagine, they had a case for homicide before they even recovered Caylee.

I have been wondering what is JB's problem with how much the State is paying for witnesses, experts, and even for the DT's witnesses and experts. How can he even mention it in Court? And, is it because he thinks the State is going to say how much it has cost to search for Caylee, and cost for trial, so he is trying to subliminally push it all on the Prosecution?

I just can't make sense of his constant money questions. Well, other than he thinks he deserves a cool million, which would have never happened anyway. He has already made more than he would have if appointed by the Court from day 1/31.

Anyone have any ideas what he is doing or why? It just ticks me off. Every witness is asked, and today was overboard.

On my only jury duty, every "professional" witness was asked how much they were being paid for their testimony. I did not understand, but wondered if it was to insinuate "bribe money?".

If you are waiting for proof that you can see, you'll be disappointed. She did her best to hide the body and dump it where she would be devoured and lie undiscovered ..
This was her child, in her car. I suppose someone else could have put a dead Caylee into her car but imagine her surprise if that had happened, wouldn't she have called 911 immediately?
No other explanation is possible. I'm with Dr G. this is a homicide,by her own mother.
No 911 call, the death was hidden, the body hidden away, lies lies lies as to what happened.
Is there an innocent person on the face of the earth that would do that...? It is far beyond reasonable doubt... IMO

Great captures. Is she ALLOWED to have text contact with anyone except the DT? I thought not, and if not, how can they be so bold texting in court? Very bizarre. Do you think she was getting a message form her mother?

It's okay to "dwell" on this, I'm doing it myself. Let me say that I started out believing Casey was GUILTY as hell. I then moved along to disliking CA, GA, and LA, you saw the same videos I did, and I never lost my dislike for them. I saw the jailhouse tapes, and I gotta tell you hinky meter jumped out of the box and ran around the room.

Okay, we now are at trial. I am keeping an open mind, looking, listening, watching every day and every night. The more I see the less I see the evidence I would need to convict Casey. So, to answer your question, yes, I would rather let her walk free than convict her when I had a reasonable doubt, which I do, and that doubt seems to grow every day. EDITED - not the doubt that she's guilty, but the doubt that prosecution has proved she is.

Oh, emotionally, I know she did it - she lies, has from day 1. She slept around, a lot it seems. There is mayhem all around this group = BUT - I cannot see where the prosecution has tied Casey excusively to the murder of Caylee. With that in mind, I could NOT vote to convict.

Trident - I think you're spot on and I believe there are jurors that will feel the same way.

I, too, believe she's guilty. But I'm concerned that the state has not YET provided enough evidence towards motive. Jurors, imo, will have a hard time sentencing someone to death without reasoning why. Sure she partied, and manipulated and lied about everything, but every single person on the stand who knew her said she was genuine with the child, never lost her temper with Caylee, showed a loving nature towards her, their relationship was incredible, blah blah blah.

Party pics are damaging. But she's been partying since Caylee was born and never killed her before. Heck, she even got away with having no job all that time....imagine...never even had to pay rent. The state's got to drive home the trigger for Caylee's demise. I wonder if they plan to ask Jesse about that fight between Cindy and Casey on the 15th? As a juror, I'd want a pattern of neglect or something towards that child to show she wanted that sweet child out of her life.

You have to laugh at his nerve, if nothing else.
He was paid handsomely by Media IIRC. Something NONE of the prosecution staff or witnesses have done as far as I'm aware...

From what I remember of his testimony, he had to get the shovel out of the SHED. After he showered and saw she had returned it, he put it in the GARAGE rather than walk out back to the shed.

So, it makes sense to you to cover up an accident and make it look like a murder? I'm not sure I understand what you mean by proving she killed her.It's the totality of the evidence,not just a smoking gun.
What would you need to see to prove beyond a reasonable doubt?

Casey in her own words says she was driving the car and she has never said it was out of her possession. Nobody has claimed anyone else drove that car or stuck a key in any of the locks on it.

oh but Doc... just for *****s and giggles, who else had a set of keys to the car? GA I do believe.

Thanks! The only witness I HEARD this trial (I missed others) say he was paid was Dr. Haskell, and I was surprised to learn the DT was paying him. If the DT was paying him, why would JB ask him his fee? In the end, we learned that JB has not YET compensated him! I've learned a lot, but am still a noob at trial protocols!

The boldness of this behavior FREAKS me out. Nothing freaks ICA out (and possibly her mother) and it appears the DT is a part of this.

Please please let the OC Sheriffs off catch on to this behavior and JP.
