How do you know that Grammy and Lee were never in the car? How do you know that Cindy NEVER had longer brunette hair? She's obviously not a natural blond. Cindy made if very clear that the hair could not belong to Lee or Grammy. Should Cindy have lied and said Lee was never in the car? It was his car at one time. I'm confused of what's expected of Cindy. It seems like people don't want her to tell the truth.

I feel CA has a moral obligation to CAYLEE as her grandmother to tell the truth and to me it seems CA is playing both ends here and it may hurt her and ICA in the long run, cause it might come back and bite her and the jury may very well disregard her all of her testimony, because they will not know whether to believe her or not!

I missed the whole tattoo guy Bobby. Hln is all commercials so I got up to do something quick, came back, commercials and then when he came back again another commercial, the he was getting off the stand!!!!
Can someone give me a quick brief please?

It was brief. He had known Casey for quite some time and she made an appointment to get a tat for Bella Vita in feminine font and he designed it, a quick little job. She seemed normal, happy, paid cash, made another appointment, said Caylee was going to be there with her, and there was something about possibly getting matching tattoos with a friend from out of town, and they ordered pizza and she paid.

JB asked him if people get memorial tattoos all the time and he said they do sometimes and JB asked if he did memorial tattoos for George and Cindy. He didn't. JB asked if he had dealt with other Anthony family members and it was objected to.
In redirect he was asked if Casey seemed like she was in mourning and the DT objected because they think mourning means remorse.

They will come back with a dictionary to tell the jury what it means.

I found it interesting Cindy said she owned the car for 10 years or so and Jose went right along with that saying she had owned it for that long. I believe he argued against that before when she used that ownership to call the police for car theft.

Do you think ICA acting happy at the end of court today has anything to do with knowing her mother is still trying to protect her, still loves her? That would be a caveat in a sociopath's mind, wouldn't it?

ITA. Casey sure picked a two word tattoo with such obvious meanings for the two words. Seriously, this girl just isn't smart at all.
I agree the meaning is obvious. I'm sure a good % of Americans know that Bella means beautiful and Vita is pretty obvious, but maybe it isn't for some people, which is fair enough. Glad the jury will get see a dictionary though, so they don't have to guess.

I am disgusted by the "I Love You" together with the "altered" testimony!
Cindy forced LDB to bring out her previous deposition statements several times just to get an honest answer out of her! Sheesh!

Cindy did everything she could to be helpful to the Inmate.
She tried to infer that her hair was brunette at one time and long enough to be the questioned hair in the trunk!

She tried to put her own mother and brothers in the Sunfire so the hair in the trunk could be theirs and not Caylees.

She tried to say the duct tape did not come from their home, when she KNOWS it did.

She altered when she lost saw the Whitney canvas laundry bag from being in Caylee's room to being in the garage now.

And she is not done yet.....

On the first two items, maybe she is simply telling the truth. As for the duct tape, she probably didn't want to say they had that tape at home during the time that poster was put up, because that might implicate George.

The Whitney Canvas bag -- wouldn't it be better for the SA if the bag was in the garage? After all, ICA was backed into the garage and that is supposedly where she was bagging the body and cleaning the trunk. There has been NO evidence that Caylee was bagged in her own room. The testimony about the garage has been pretty clear, however. Cindy also testified that the Whitney bag was in a BLACK trash bag. How is this helpful for ICA?

I just thought I'd throw this in as ICA clothes always comes up. PLEASE don't ask me to link it...my mind is mush the last few days.

There is a storage room below the courthouse that have lots of donated clothes for indigent defendants, and they are free to make use of them during trial. If I had to guess, I'd say I read that in OS last weekend. Her team can pick them out and bring them to her. Explains a lot to me!

So she is not allowed to use her own clothing? I mean I guess she hasn't had access to it for the last few years but I thought they can still use it.

But George DOES sometimes drive the Sunfire. He did the maintenance on it. He drove it home from the tow yard. Did you want Cindy to lie on the stand?

With all due respect CA offered that tidbit when it wasn't what LDB asked of her. She never asked her who drove the car. She threw it out there. It had nothing to do with what LDB asked at that time. GA might haven driven the car back to the house from the tow yard but her testimony appeared to imply that GA routinely drives the car on occasion. Which I personally think is a little disingenuous.

She didn't need to offer such testimony she just needed to respond to LDB question and leave it at that. It was clear she was attempting to give the DT a few tidbits they could go from in raising reasonable doubt. That's not CA's job, that's JB's job.

ITA. I just meant even if they didn't have that dictionary entry, they would have figured it out. Some people were acting like the jury would have no idea what it meant if the SA didn't say so. I just don't think that is true. But I am glad that they dictionary entry will make it in, all the better for the jury!

Watching HLN right now.

No matter how many times I hear it, I still get chills listening to such a cool, collected ICA lie about where her daughter was.

Thanks so much Donjeta,,,,but why were the jurors not told what it means??? Why do they have to look in a dictionary?

There were two Whitney canvas bags. One found at the site, and one found stashed in the Anthony garage inside of a black garbage bag with yellow ties; the same sort of black bag found at the dump site with the other canvas bag and Caylee's remains. The state was introducing evidence that one of these canvas bags had been in Caylee's room, either to store balls or toys.

What got confusing is her insistence that the one on the shelf was the one used for that purpose. I don't see any reason to have a bag tucked away like that if it was in fact proving a useful function elsewhere in the home.

With all respect, given that the hair found in the car had a death band, one could easily eliminate all of Cindy's relatives who are still alive as being the contributor.

I agree. I don't see what the point was in putting Cindy on the stand today.

Probably because Mason was up there at the sidebar telling the judge he had no idea what it meant and he was just a hard of hearing old country bumpkin and need one of them thar dictionary things to figure it all out.

I think it's just Cindy's way to elaborate. People are saying she lied about George, Grammy, or even herself ever being in the car. It does not appear to me that she lied about anything.

OKAY. LDB tried to get JB to agree that he was not going to blindside them tomorrow and start his presentation. He said ' I don't have to answer that'---she replied YES, you do,---

But I don't think he ever agreed to her request. Is he going to try something sneaky tomorrow?
I think the judge answered for him. I don't think he is going to allow Baez to pull something sneaky. He will make them wait until Thursday to begin their case.
