My mother passed away suddenly on Sunday and will be buried Friday.

She loved children, her whole life was devoted to children, grand-children and now great-grandchildren. Her great-granddaughter was born the same year as Caylee to a mother the same age ICA was. I'm sure she is with Caylee and will make sure her murderer is brought to justice.

After this sudden loss, NONE of the many members of my family reacted in any way resembling the reactions of ICA. None of us could have gone to Blockbuster to rent a movie the same day. The emptiness cannot be filled - it would have been evident to those around her if ICA had any emotion for Caylee at all.

That was pretty sad. He said they were very tender with one another.

The tender part does warm my heart. It appears that GA and CA didn't always follow their original vows they made to each other on their wedding day. But it seems now more than ever they are giving to each other what they promised to do forever on their wedding day.

Some of the best well adjusted adults I know came from a family that had two parents who took their vows seriously and loved each other endlessly. I think both ICA and Lee could have benefited from their parents new found commitment if it had been present during their upbringing.

I don't think either CA or GA were ideal partners to each other. Each had various issues. But marriage isn't always sunshine and rainbows. It's hard work, but at its core true endless love should always plug people along.

It was clear when GA was on the stand talking about when he first met CA that GA does indeed love her. Through it all. I don't quite understand it.

I hope they have attended counseling together and they realize that neither one of them are going to get through this without the other. They need to cling to each other and help each other climb out of this mess their daughter has created.

And in the area of their marriage I wish them nothing but the best, truly.

Gotta wonder who would drop this little gem with the press. It wouldn't be those that suffered a defeat today would it? Good God they can try this dirty pool but rest assured our Court System will not allow this tactic. This guy will be deposed and it won't be pretty.

Did the SA know this was coming before this am?

Quote from OS article:

Thompson refused interview attempts by the defense and called law enforcement when questioned, the document says.

Due to the recently discovered and unexplained relationship between George Anthony and Thompson, their cell phone contact , including four calls on July 14, 2008, and Thompson's "violent criminal history," the defense claims "good cause is shown for the late disclosure of this witness."

This PIZZES me off to no end. CM and team hard at work to try and destroy what is left of GA's reputation and life. All for a psychotic killer.

The OS is now reporting it as well:

Casey Anthony trial: Acquittal denied; defense introduces Vasco Thompson
The defense filing in court documents says Vasco Thompson is a 'recently discovered witness through the ongoing efforts of defense investigators'

Hang on. If the DT has already asserted that Caylee died by drowning in the pool and then George took the body and "dealt" with it and the Kronk popped in to try and get the reward money then what would the need be an investigator to find this "recently discovered witness?" KWIM?

The defense team (I first typed it as dense team - Freudian slip) has laid it all out for us...what do they need an investigator to uncover at this point?? And if why wouldn't Baez have mentioned Mr. Degama in his OS already?

Smoke and mirrors. Smoke and mirrors.

I can't wait for the scoop on this guy to surface. What was her name frm Ohio that said she searched Suburban drive, falsified some docs, then dropped off the radar and hired a Lawyer real quick...? then there was Joy Wray.... say no more.
Where do they dig this stuff up from?

ETA Laura Buchanan IIRC.

And here we have it. Tulessa opened a new thread about Mr. Thompson. Looky what was in that thread - Thought it was worth posting here! Thanks AZ!

OMG!! Vasco Thompson!! Hilarious--I investigated him and these phone calls like CRAZY probably back in 2008/2009.

IIRC I finally after much frussshhhtration as Casey would say decided that his phone number contained 2 numbers that were transposed in some public records database to inaccurately match up with the number George was actually calling. And I THINK--but I have to go back and check if I kept those notes--that the actual number he called was someone from his work.

There is nobody in the entire world that can understand their grief, feeling of failure and fear but them. Perhaps that has brought them closer together and I think little Caylee's prayers from Heaven have helped too...

So let me get this straight... The DT wants us to believe that GA contacted or was contacted by a convicted felon kidnapper the day before the car was located and CA confronted ICA and they want to call him but GA denies ever contacting this guy or knowing him and the felon won't talk to the defense team????
Can we say grasping at straws???
There are so many innocent reasons as to why this number might be on gA's call record (if that is even how they got this info) that I cannot believe this is even going this far...
If he will not talk to the DT, then what do they really feel they would gain from forcing him to testify- he appears to not want to help.
Also, WTH would GA or this guy have said to each other- "hey, you wanna take the rap for this kidnapping? or hey I found your granddaughter's body and I'm giving it to my buddy RK? or how about let me give you some pointers on how a kidnapper works so you can pretend this is what happened... I smell something and it ain't trash....

He's been watching the Telemundo Novelas again...

I think this is EXACTLY what LDB was referring to yesterday when she tried to make sure there would be no BOMBSHELLS and JB took offense...yeah, right. This is a PRIME EXAMPLE of their sneaky tactics. Dear Lord just give me strength to get through this next week. :banghead:

ITA grandmaj! I have no doubt in my mind, if ICA walked out of jail tomorrow, she'd return to Hopespring Drive, borrow George or Cindy's cellphone and call TL and ask him what time they were getting together that night. She doesn't have a clue as to the damage she has done!

I agree, but I also think she really doesn't understand WHY this is such a big deal. I think her thoughts are something like this:

"HELLO?! WHY is everyone still carrying on about that child THREE YEARS LATER?! I mean she was cute and all, but she's gone and there's nothing you can do to change that! I'm still here! Rather or not I'm found "guilty" that child is not coming back, so why can't everybody focus on what can be done to help me?? I said I made a mistake trusting Zanny and I apologized for it and I said I felt bad about it, so why are all these people still fussing about it? They can lock me away for life and it still won't bring that child back so why can't we just stop talking about this and move on!"

Thanks, I guess that answers my question, unbelievable

Okeydokey -- let's get this straight -- hang on. The defense will now entertain the following scenario:

So Vascodegama, fresh from his circumnavigation of the globe, receives a call from GA thirty days after the "accidental drowning", owing to GA's great respect for the former's expertise in all things related to kidnapping.

Now, this could only mean that GA intended to frame poor ICA! And I'm sure we'll hear precisely how he knew that CA would locate ICA the following day... that should be interesting, since neither of them knew where she was and had their son actively looking for her. But apparently, the Criminal Mastermind known as GA intuitively realized (using his extraordinary powers of criminal deduction) that they would locate ICA the next day, and thus sought out the help of a consultant in order to begin (apparently) his plan to frame his daughter for a kidnapping so that his "secret" would remain safe relative to the sexual abuse with ICA.

But wait! Yes, it's true that the so-called "experts" called by the State have testified that little Caylee's body was in its final resting place for the entirety of the thirty days prior to this unlikely call for expert consultation, and there is no evidence of tampering (to include duct tape, or the strategic placing of garbage and laundry bags) re the body, and thus the "kidnapping" scenario seems, at first glance, nonsensical and entirely inconsistent with the facts. But this is because all of us have been had by the greatest criminal mastermind of our time.

GA only wants us to believe that he was attempting to set up a kidnapping scenario, hence his consultation with the well-known world explorer. In reality, he was attempting to set up a murder scenario and leave his daughter holding the bag. We will all understand this when we hear about how Vascadegama suggested that the duct tape would be a "nice touch," and how GA also got the idea of the bags from him as well.

As to that pesky forensic stuff, we will simply have to rely on our own "common sense" in arriving at a reasonable conclusion. Who in the world would fail to realize that this was all a carefully orchestrated plot, masterminded by the evil GA? There is, after all, no evidence pointing toward the defendant.

Your honor, the defense rests.

:cow:

Hi-larious! Dollars to donuts that Baez spews this verbatim, lol.

You left out the part that reveals that crafty, bodysnatching sidekick, Kronk, just happens to be Vascodegama's meter reader.

It totally amazes me that Casey Anthony in a fit of rage or in her heartless selfishness kills her child and suddenly George is on trial because the defense is so slippery. The witnesses that took a beating on the stand for only doing their jobs and the jury whose lives are on hold as though they are in prison. The witnesses had aspersions cast upon their honest and work. It just makes me so angry that the innocent are hurt because of one person Casey Anthony .

I completely agree! And the defense, in a last ditch effort to save Casey from either the death penalty or life in prison, is almost eagerly willing to smear and condemn innocent people in that process.

It's one thing to argue on behalf of the defendant based on facts, but to go to the lengths the defense is going to create a scenario in which innocent people are blamed for a crime is an injustice in and of itself.

Smoke and mirrors. Smoke and mirrors.

your right it is smoke and mirrors,it a tact by the DT to confuse the jury they have to find reasonable doubt anywhere they can and all they need is one juror to believe them..just one!
