Which is why Ashton had to step in and establish beyond all doubt in the eyes of the jury - that this alleged 'expert' was in fact NO expert within several lines of questioning put forth by JB

The 'expert' HAD to be challenged right then and there. It had gone far enough - too far

And the 'expert' had to be compelled to admit, acknowledge, that he was no more an 'expert' in several areas than jury members themselves

I am :furious: that HHBP allows JB to have his cell phone with him while at the podium. We all know JB can't ask the right questions so why is the Judge allowing him to receive texts to tell him what to ask? :banghead:

Does anyone remember a one hit wonder from the 80s from General Public called Tenderness? It has a line "squeezing the telephone like it was a pack of questions" in it. And everytime someone mentions the phone, a one hit wonder from the 80s goes through my head. I'm not sure what I've done to deserve this.

:blowkiss: RR0004 :goodpost:

:thumb: A post of the day.

I totally agree.

It is very possible that it was negligent homicide...an accident waiting to happen. Except, you have those dang web searches for neck braking, not to mention chloroform. Kind of puts a wrench in the full out accident defense.

I wonder if the Anthony's picked up on TH's testimony from this morning that decomp fluids will kill grass and that grass will not grow in an area where decomp fluids have been spilled.

Surely, that statement had to resonate with not only the Anthony's, but also with the jury--especially after Cindy made such a to-do about grass no longer growing in certain areas of their backyard, but she had no explanation as to why the grass would not grow.

I guess that now she knows why.

I wonder how big the area is. Do we think ICA had the body on the ground after it was in a stage of decomp that leaked fluids. How awful the A’s to look in their back yard and think about that.

After watching JA crush TH today....I am confident that I need to seek help. The crush I have may crush me. HaaHaa

Seriously.......there is NOTHING sexier than smart!

Oh no! What have I done??? My DH is now hooked on this trial and is tweeting to Vinnie! :ohwow::laughcry:

Still wet behind the ears, if you ask me. And I think, may be wrong, but Dr. Vass's PhD is in Anthropology, isn't it?:woohoo:

Seems to me that trying to discredit a major player in his field this early in TH’s career is a bad bad move.

On HLN talking about JA beating up on TH and Casey what's her name saying the poor guy is having to testify on insects, decomp stains, etc. too much. Well you know what ? JA didn't want him to it was JB who pushed this issue. Why shouldn't JA then prove to jurors he's not qualified to opine on things he doesn't know much about. The research with dead pigs in car trunks wasn't even a good replica for this case. JB wanted to use this guy to say things he couldn't get other experts to present. If anyone's fault it is HHJP.

But, at the time, way back in July 2008 the State would have been willing to negotiate...they wanted Caylee found.

I loved that song.

Wish someone could hijack JB iphone and disable it while he is questioning his witness.

did they ever say why that was?

I am not sure which "they" you are referring to here, so I will respond as to the two parties involved.

Did Dr. TH say why that was? Not to my knowledge.

Did Cindy ever say why that was? No. She stated that she/they did not know why the grass would no longer grow in those areas. Instead, they have had to put pavers down in the rest of the background grassy areas.

That's a fact Jack, that's why I married my hubby. Plus, he has that wonderful pedestal!.

Just think of how "over" this case would have been if there wasn't testimony that could be "bought" (for whatever reason: fame, recognition, whatever). I'm really not putting this all on Dr. Huntington. I think this entire case has gone on for too long for the wrong reasons.
My father was a criminal defense attorney and I once asked him how he could defend someone who was "obviously" guilty. He told me that if someone's guilt is that obvious then the prosecution knows it too and the best thing he could do for his client would be to negotiate the best sentence possible. IMVHO...this is what should have been done 3 years ago when even some of us might have believed it was an accident.

I think that this whole dream team all leads back to Ms. LKB. She thought she saw a way to make the big bucks, publicity-wise, when this case broke nationally, and she more than likely recruited all the 'big' names like H. Lee, K. Reichs, Huntington, Spitz, etc.....then she bailed when the going got rough and she could read the writing on the wall.

How's that working for ya now, Linda K-B?

IMO he should have started out in a much lower profile case. Not ready.

I also think he learned today why a higher profile expert was not willing to go with what the defense wanted.

Does anyone know where in the yard that Cindy indicated that grass would no longer grow? Is it the same area the dogs hit on? I am a LONG time lurker so hopefully this is in the right thread. Thanks in advance!

My understanding from Cindy's testimony is that it was exactly in those areas where the dogs hit upon.

If I am incorrect in my recollection, I am sure that someone will correct me. :)

Or a weasel, as the case may be.

Gad... I've just got a big case of the sillys now.
Dog gone it! I said weasel earlier and not as in a name reference but only that the word came to mind and my post "went poof."
