I see him as a young intellectual. This was all just a new challenge for him. He may be a bit embarrassed but he will rebound. It is just a new way of learning for him. He will learn from it and go further, he will continue to look for new intellectual challenges.

I am going to agree with that, he is just not seasoned yet as Dr.Vass & Dr. Haskell. This will be a learning lesson for him. He obviously is quite intelligent to get where he is but no experience with what he was asked to do today.

Does anyone know what was up with the tweet about the two jurors putting a coat over the monitor? That was during the picture of the stain in the trunk. Sure seems like some people have no problems thinking that it's decomp.

Hmmm. I'm guessing they are not required to view the photos. Not sure about Florida or anywhere now. While I was on a wrongful death jury, the spit hood was passed around the jurors. I am not squeamish, but that hood was creepy. I passed on handling it. It would be hard to base a decision on photos you have not seen,

I noticed he couldn't pronounce them as well. Just added to my thoughts that he did not know what he was talking about. He was in waaaaaaay over his head but just kept charging ahead.

This guy is used to being at the top of his class -- youngest to be this, youngest to be that -- but he just is not ready to hard ball it with the big guys. But wanted to make us think he was.

He was out of his area of expertise. Too bad JB led him there. He really needs to stick to the bugs.

Inconsistent. He lies. I watched this "man" lie, again and again and again today. It is not snark. That is truth. He lied. :yes: He changed his "opinion" several times during his testimony today. If that is the best the defense has got, bring on the rest. IMHO.

I sensed a very similar "energy" in this witness and ICA.

You would have to order a transcript from the court reporter. It costs mucho money.

No. They are hard science experts. The soft science ones are the human behavioral "experts" like a grief counselor or one who may testify how incest abuse victims react.

The only ones we have seen is what a news station has gotten from the court and talked about on their shows.

I don't know about the jury but I heard (and now can't remember where) that when he arrives at the courtroom the spectators outside cheer him on like he's a rock star. Well deserved cheering I might add if it's true.

Just to add: DR TH never did answer directly the question as to "have you ever TESTED Adipocere?" He wouldn't admit that he has not chemically determined nor identified the breakdown of the fatty acids contained in a substance and concluded that it was ADIPOCERE. In actuality, he was unable, when reading DR Haskell's report, to pronounce the names of those fatty acids and the components of Adipocer

There are those who'll defend Dr.TH's inability to pronounce things as being outside his area of expertise. However, he was portrayed (by himself and by JB) as an expert in a variety of disciplines - and was testifying under oath in a manner, as he knew, that would determine how justice for a murdered child was meted out by law

So whilst excuses might be attempted on Dr. TH's behalf by some - what the jury will remember (because they will identify) was the 'expert's' inability to pronounce the names of 'scientific stuff ' (which many jury members may well be conversant with and well able to pronounce)

Dr. TH might have believed he was displaying 'boyish' charm as he smiled, chuckled and stumbled over the 'big words' -- but in the eyes of the jury and general observers, he simply appeared INexpert, unqualified and a quack, imo, quite apart from the fact he was exposed by the State as an arrogant pretender -- who demonstrated conceit and preparedness to testify in areas in which he wasn't qualified, knowing as he did so that he was influencing a trial seeking justice for a child's murder

Boast and pretend at work, at home, online, by all means. But anyone who demonstrates willingness to do so in a court of law should be charged with attempt to pervert the course of justice, imo

That is such shoddy work. We would NEVER put up with detectives investigating a case like that! I saw it in a picture so it must be so? Who in Hades does TH think he is? I just LOVED the whole paper thing for that reason. I think he was SHOCKED he was wrong.

I cannot get over his arrogance. He is never going to make it by disrespecting his elders, one of which is a person who trained him, and also by acting like he is GOD when it comes to seeing something in a photograph. Wow. Maybe this case will be helpful if he sees the error of his ways!

And boy am I feeling old and cranky right now, LOL.

I particularly liked when JA asked him how he knew it was adipocere and he definitively said, "because someone told me it was." :floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

He was totally disrespectful. One can use the title 'sir' as a sign of respect or they can use it in an arrogant and disrespectful manner meant as a put down. Dr. Huntington did the later.

I wonder if the Anthony's picked up on TH's testimony from this morning that decomp fluids will kill grass and that grass will not grow in an area where decomp fluids have been spilled.

Surely, that statement had to resonate with not only the Anthony's, but also with the jury--especially after Cindy made such a to-do about grass no longer growing in certain areas of their backyard, but she had no explanation as to why the grass would not grow.

I guess that now she knows why.
