There was a moment there when HHJP was asking for the Defence's next witness when clearly they had no one available that Baez leaned over and said something to ICA and I caught my breath. Was he asking ICA if she wanted to testify since he had no one else available? It did look like that to me.

State hasn't had adequate time to review reports/depositions of 2 witnesses. DT's other witness not there. 30 minutes to get them there.

Every one knows JB is a horrible attorney and has let this case snowball out of his control. He will be addressed by the bar for this, imo, after the trial.
In the meantime, JA needs to keep his cool and raise his objections without any snide comments or attitudes. It is obvious that he has a huge problem with JB, but that is something every SA will hav to deal with from time to time. He can make his point without being snide, imo.

Truly had to laugh when they couldn't even agree on what time it was! lmao

Who sends a witness to the State Attorney's Office on a Saturday with no prior notice to take a deposition?

Is JA a legal secretary now? Does JA have a Court Reporter just following him around all day?

How dare JB not give any notice to the SA and set up the deposition and request a Court Reporter! JA does not work for JB - what gamesmanship.

Did JA just say that he was deposing Rodriques from 130 to 330 Saturday after court finished on Saturday?..How would he have a chance to depose this Ikenbloom Saturday afternoon??..Sounds like a tricky and sneaky thing for Baez to do to send this guy to JA's office at all??..

Baez said that what his witness would be testifying to is "common sense" eluding that that's why his opinions aren't in the report. No dice, Baez!

maybe his report should have just listed "common sense" as the subject. Then he would have been covered, not.

Ill prepared is saying it mildly. SA asked to read the depo they took of Rodriguez on Saturday. JB sent a witness to JA's office on Saturday to be deposed with no prior notice and JA sent him away, We are now working full day Saturdays and possibly shorter lunches. HHJP re read his order from Dec.2010 and threatened the bar at the end of the trial against both parties. Don't think JA has anything to worry about however. We are in recess until 10:25 and HHJP is not happy that the jury has been there for an hour before all this started. He wants both attorneys in the court at 8:30 AM every morning now. Oh and Casey has the back of her shirt tied in a knot lol

I think it's a smart move on JP's part. That way the defense can't cry "biased!" Everyone knows the defense is in the wrong, make no mistake. JP has been doing this a long time and every word that comes out of his mouth is thought out and serves a purpose. He needs to do it this way to avoid appeals later. IMO as always

EXACTLY. JA knows he hasn't done what the DT has. And the DT knows it too. But Judge Perry can't appear to show bias...or BAEZ....

I only hope the judge follows through with the contempt proceedings at the end of this case. I think Mr. B will get a very quick lesson in legal ethics 101.

I have always thought DS was such a classy lady with a huge heart, never understood why she joined the DT...

I missed seeing Casey walk into court, and so I just noticed now that she's got her cardigan knotted up at the back because it's oversized. It blows my mind that she cares so much about her appearance, when she's on trial for her life. It's like that little gesture just encompasses her whole attitude and actions. She cares so much about the superficial that she killed her daughter in order to enjoy it.

I think the presentation of a defendant is very important in a trial. Tattoos are covered,men's hair is usually well groomed. It's part of a defense,IMO to present the defendant in the best possible light.
I have been stunned at the choice in attire for ICA.

I think HHJP knew there would be more issues with DT experts opinions. He was calm and prepared to deal with it this morning.

But now what?
