HELP PLEASE - I am on my iPad now because I just summarized that whole banter and went to post and it said the thread was closed. Can someone tell me what to do to get my post back? I haven't touched anything on my computer because I think someone told me once what to do and don't want to lose it.:banghead::banghead:

I got so caught up in other cases here I missed the entire morning session until this break. Sounds like JB is not only up a creek but up the Niagra Falls......

and now it is too late for me to go to the grocery store before my son gets home from his dads. Will have to put that off until the lunch recess.

Trying to get caught up but it appears HHJP has exhausted his last nerve with JB.
I do not believe JB will end his tactics and I fully expect this trial to go on long passed the date of 6-25 or so when the Judge said he thought it may be finished.

I wonder what might be in the jurors minds with all this bouncing them in and out of the court room.

Forget the lunch break I think that is being shortened quite a bit. Not sure though as HHJP likes his jurors taken care of.

EXACTLY. JA knows he hasn't done what the DT has. And the DT knows it too. But Judge Perry can't appear to show bias...or BAEZ....

I only hope the judge follows through with the contempt proceedings at the end of this case. I think Mr. B will get a very quick lesson in legal ethics 101.

I believe he will follow through,especially since it has come up again. I also think he's ready to call JB's bluff.

I may just have misinterpreted it, but it seemed to me that when the judge stated he did not believe he would 'have to go through this again' (meaning retrial, I guess), JB's head sank down to his chest

So was he deliberately provoking the judge AND hoping JA would rise to the bait and speak out, in the hope of forcing a mistrial ? If that was his hope, the judge appears to have dashed it by remaining calm and focused and by saying he did not believe he would be required to 'go through all this again'

Imo, JB was being desperately provocative (as well as reading from a prepared script)

And I'd be willing to bet that if there is a mistrial, and they did this over, Baez would come out with a completely different OS - just as outrageous however.

That's what he wants now - a do-over because even someone as dimwitted as he can see how badly this defense is FAILING!

I really don't think the SA has anything to worry about. HHJP has to do this to not create any appeal issues. JA has done nothing wrong.

I am kind of surprised that CM did not knock some sense into JB over the weekend. JB is seriously looking at losing his license when this is over.

Why would he do that for ICA? I just don't get it. :gavel:

IMO Baez has been involved in so many underhanded maneuverings outside of court that what he is doing during the hearings is what he is going to get the book thrown at him for once this trial is finished. The State is not blind to what he has been involved in the last three years. I doubt the whole story of his manipulations will come out, but I’m convinced we’re seeing the end of JB’s career in law due to has failure to follow the Judge’s orders(even though he is guilty of much worse)…….. As for CM, it’s been my belief that he joined the defense in order to give it some credibility. When JB is found to be in contempt we still have a very competent well known attorney associated with ICA’s defense. I hope they hang JB.

I have this image stuck in my head of Judge Perry muttering to himself as he takes off his robe in chamners this morning after JB's SMACKDOWN.

" Who the %$$# does that &^%$ think he's dealing wiff? He thinks he's gonna play me?...we'll just see whose practicing law after this trial.... That low down &^%$ will be back to bikini selling so fast his head will spin"

Its amazing how very many lives Casey Anthony ruins. Every single person she comes in contact with their lives are ruined. She is ruining Baez's life. She is ruining C. Mason's life by taking his distinguished career and making him look like a buffoon at the end of it. I think Baez is going to be out a ton of money and maybe stuck in jail at the end of this case, maybe lose his license or be disbarred.

But Baez can't even see it. He will do anything to try and get her off and she just keeps on ruining people's lives and going her merry way. She really is a horror story. She has decimated her whole family.

Yes! As a general rule lawyers do take court orders seriously. It is wired into them to do what the judges order says. To hit the third or fourth time of a violation of the same court order is literally unheard of.

This may have given KC her IAC appeal right there. I can't see how JB does not face some massive Bar sanctions above and beyond any contempt findings the judge hands down after the trial.

JA is just as much as fault for gamesmanship as JB is. The only difference is that JB's antics go beyond the realm of the rules of the court, whereas JA has a team that won't allow that to happen. JA, however, has been very unprofessional at times, and has clearly let his distaste for JB show in court. He's been admonished for this as well, and HHJP made it clear that he sees every bit of the "game" the 2 are playing with each other.

I've said it over and over during this case. JA just needs to let JB be JB, and he'll win. The times that the DT has scored their (minor) points is when JA gets upset and lets JB get under his skin. For Caylee's sake JA just needs to let it go. Quit with the shouting, quit with the nasty looks and huffy attitude, and just prosecute the case. They are going to get a conviction, but getting angry only leads to situations like this, and gives an appellate court pause for consideration of the attitude of a State's Attorney.

This is exactly why it took three years to actually bring this to trial. The DT has constantly used delay tactics and messed things up throughout all of this.

I can only hope that once this trial is over... Jose is disbarred and no media wants anything to do with the disgraced attorney. Who would take his opinion seriously when he has been disbarred??

Oh, and no one... and I mean no one... buy any book he writes! Let's send Jose back to selling bikini's.

Jose is in A LOT of trouble once this trial is over. Trust me, Jeff Ashton will be in no trouble AT ALL. Judge Perry is wording things for both sides so he doesn't appear to be favoring one side over the other. Judge Perry made the distinction when he was talking about the one who "repeatedly" violated the court order. He was talking to Jose. Jose knows this. Jeff knows this. We know it and Judge Perry knows it.

I have no problem with Judge Perry waiting until after the trial to deal with Jose. We need to keep the trial moving.

I completely agree with you. In a nutshell, HHJP stated:

Jose will be dealt with in a court hearing after trial

It will most likely involve the BAR

It will most likely involve precedent (first ever) case imposing "ultimate sanction"

And he (HHJP) is NOT anticipating this case being overturned on appeal.
