I thought D.Simms (the lady attorney) was supposedly on the team due to her forensics area of specialty. I expected to see her doing the majority of the questioning to those types of witnesses. Guess I was mistaken.

I tend to think that Casey has an agreement with Baez. He agreed to take her on Pro Bono after he realized she didn't have any money in order to seek his own fame because he knew this was a high profile case. Chances are, it was her agreement to let the other attorney's take a back seat because they were there for the same reasons as Baez, notoriety. Baez was just there first.
That or, he really has offered her some kind of job when he gets her off of these charges, and she believes his lies as well as her own.:floorlaugh:

In the midst of all the craziness, just a reminder of why we are here

It helps to put the vacuum out in the middle of the room and leave furniture polish and cloths on a table, etc. I have a friend who did this to fool her dh all the time, lol.

Good morning everyone! Wonder what bombshells there'll be today!

Empty the trash (during a sidebar), load the diswasher (during a recess), and douse everything else in Febreeze. :)

I'm just going to put it out there that I suspect the strange goings on yesterday re Casey might mean that Baez is being removed from the case, maybe with CM taking over. Does anyone else think that's possible?
One could only hope. As much as I despise ICA I do think she deserves fair representation.

I've never understood that either. For all his obnoxiousness and momentary lapses of reason, CM is still a pretty good attorney. What's the lady attorney like? Any good? How come we never see HER up there? She CAN'T possibly be worse than Baez.

I can't stand the mumbling either. Someone the other day, not sure who could have been Vinnie was talking about all the achievements and accomplishments he has done and that he was listed I think he said as a top lawyer with the FL Bar. It was all very good about him. So I was thinking at one time he must have spoken more clearer.

Good morning everyone.

My definition of irony for this morning is CBSnews playing a Foghorn Leghorn Geico ad before loading the trial coverage. LOL!

Just to clear up any confusion! I didn't get a T/O. I didn't get ANY warnings. I gave myself a T/O last night because these proceedings hit so close to home that I decided to spend the evening with my DH without any mention of any court proceedings. :D It was wonderful.

Glad to see you back today, but understand that sometimes we just need to take a break away from this circus. :seeya:

We speak the same language...that is what you call good eatin'!

Looks like someone threw some avocado in there...that's overkill, I think. Oh well...different strokes for different folks :D Anyone else care for a nosh??

I'll have to try that one of these days. Looks yummy, and avocado is among the "good" fats ;)

I hear alot of people comment about mumbling. I understand him just fine. Maybe because I'm a fellow Southerner? I don't know. :waitasec:

Hope not, or if so, then hope it's nothing to be concerned about. Somewhere, I read he suffers from hypertension, but I don't know if that's correct. Restraint in face of deliberate and sustained provocation doesn't come without cost, though, even for those in perfect health

If he didn't have hypertension before, he most probably does now.

I don't want to read too much into the fact that he has something he needs to attend to on Wednesday. In any case, I'll hold him in my good thoughts, as always.

Or fake back pain until your boys believe you and tell you that you can't DO any housework.

not that I have tried that or anything:angel:

wftv courtroom cam up with a shot of the flag. Had a hard time finding it though, they moved their big red box at the top which took me right there without thinking. Okay, now they are showing the door
