HLN is discussing a possible defense witness who is going to say that George said "It was an accident that spun out of control"...However, I heard this women has a real credibility problem..as uses "Aliases" ..did not have an affair only a friendship apparantly...Hummmm Guess we will see what the DT will do with her:waitasec:

I thought River Cruz denied that they had an affair? Am I remembering this wrong?

Nope - she did deny it before - but now news media reports she is willing to tell the truth in court and confess whole affair...(who knows but GA and RC)

ICA was in an adjacent cell. The timing of this will be important. I worked in a prison, and the sound can carry very well, and if this April was telling someone in another cell, ICA could have easily heard the convo.

I think it also was revealed in the jailhouse letters that they communicated by way of the vents. And someone who posts here believes this story was either mentioned by one of the inmates who had contact with KC or it may have been in one of the letters. But I thought this sounded familiar, too. Almost as if KC were commenting on the girl who lost her son? I could be wrong but it does sound familiar. jmo

On the trial thread I noticed a comment about why we get so excited with JA's cross exams. Is this favoritism. In moo I like the questions to be pointed and succinct---Jose mumbles, stumbles--half the time I don't get what his question is. Also I highly value witnesses that give us reliable info in an unbiased way. Some earlier defense witnesses have tried to stretch their facts to go along with the defenses new story. I mean goiod god---Caylee's bone were buried in yuck. Orlando went thru a hurricane. What's more logical--a dog buried the bone or that is was there a long time and was exposed to water, mud etc. To me plain old common sense applied to the science wins every time. The defense is trying to use smoke and mirrors and violation of court orders to make a case. Also the Prosecution is the one that needs to prove the case. The defense needs to try to offer reasonable doubt in a logical way....thy're making the states case for them!!!!!! Dumb!!!
T

ITA, but you watch...Sunny Hostin will say the defense got some nuggets in.

That was my understanding too. She has REPEATEDLY denied it was anything more than a deep friendship brought on by George's anguish and stress over this situation.

So why to the networks continue to report it as some form of affair? Obviously, they are looking for drama and ratings!

Don't give it up today, I don't like drinking by myself!

The combination of sitting at the computer for hours each day, not getting a lot of exercise, indulging in those fabulous breakfast spreads a la 'Beach, and drinking too much fine wine will take a toll on my girlish figure. :toastred:

I always thought presentation meant a lot during a trial. Appearances are important. I have been shocked that very little attention has been given to ICA's wardrobe. You can get some pretty cheap suits ,blouses and dresses, these days. Her clothes look like they came from the lost and found. I'm not saying that to be snarky. I'm really curious to know if it's deliberate and if so,why :waitasec: I've watched a lot of Court TV and InSession trials and I don't recall anyone wearing such inappropriate,ill-fitting clothes.
I thought about this yesterday and came to the likely conclusion that NO ONE is willing to spend money on clothing for her. She certainly would not wear anything she has recently IF she was out on the streets. She doesn't need street clothing with the State of Florida supplying her current outfits while she is a guest of theirs.

I beg to differ, I called and ordered 2. I mentioned this trial and saved on shipping and handling. And if you call in the next hour we will also send you the Amazing Shawl!!

out. loud.

I scanned but am sorry for not reading the whole thread, at work all day. What is the Home Depot scoop?

If you're right, Ashton may have created a huge problem for prosecution on appeal. Because the harm is already done. Ashton got the witness to say
(1) he (the witness) told Baez he might find something if he ran his tests, and (2) Baez did not ask him (the witness) to run more tests.

Even more troubling, if I understand what just happened before the recess, Baez contends that the inference Ashton wanted the jury to draw -- that the defense really doesn't want to know what's on the tape (since it is probably incriminating) -- is false, in that the defense actually wanted the witness to run more tests, but the prosecution's objection was sustained

Just to add, we don't really know if Baez asked the guy to run the tests or not - in the beginning Baez wanted to send the samples to Holland and Judge Perry said - Hell no, you ain't sending them out of the USA! Going from memory on a hearing last year or early this year, Baez sent the samples to Einkenlbloom (sp) in the USA and he was supposed to be at an ASCLAD (sp) lab (whilst his lab was still being built, even though Baez told the judge it was going to be finished in a few days from the hearing - which was a damn lie because the witness said today it was still not finished) and at the hearing the judge said when are you getting the results and Baez ummmed and ahhhed and said he left msgs but wasn't able to contact them and the judge said they have phones, receptionists and that the Judge wanted an answer now so then Baez sent Medina out to call the lab and Baez gave some bs story when she got back - not sure what happened then.

But - I guess end result is that either Baez is lying or the witness was about whether they tested the samples or not - or Baez told him NOT to test the samples. Either way there was something seriously shonky going on with what happened today with Baez/Eiken and the samples. Some big lying going on with someone or all of them.

It is official - I have become part of the machine...I don't think I have had a thought to myself all day that I could keep longer than about 30 seconds......argh!

The DT should have stopped when they were ahead IMO - oh wait....have they been ahead yet?

Thank you for all of the great updates you have been giving! Very much appreciated!

This whole accident that snowballed out of control statement by GA, sheesh, I believe he was holding onto hope that his daughter didn't commit filicide. jmo

That's what I have always thought, too. IF he actually said this to her, I really thought it was wishful thinking, rather than thinking his daughter murdered his granddaughter in cold blood.

You know, I had the thought when I saw her wincing that she may have been binding her ribs or something... idk, I just can't conceive that it was an attempt at fashion.

It was an attempt to be fashionable and show her curves. "Let me show my waistline and highlight my chest for the jurors and the cameras." JMO

I thought River Cruz denied that they had an affair? Am I remembering this wrong?

She originally did, but then called Pippy and gave an interview saying now she's ready to tell the truth. Impeached herself before ever taking the stand :floorlaugh:

And why is she giving interviews if she is called as a witness? Or was this before she was called?

ICA looked as if she swaddled herself in the sweater as a means of comfort or safety. I wonder? You know how we swaddle infants and they stay warm and sleep well? It was just very odd. I have a sister who is diagnosed Narcisstic and bipolar and she does odd things like that, depending on her level of stress. It reminded me of the photo of her tying the flag around her for that party. Just odd. MOO

Nah...she just did what she could to look 'hot.'
