You know what's really sad (keeping in mind we have no idea about his service records) but that man had one hell of an impressive CV and now his record is blemished for not following proper protocol (oh the iorny )

I know a fair bit about the military and this will go on his record and taint it - why he ever got involved or did not seek proper approval I'll never know, a complete mystery.

I'm amazed that so many expert witnesses are willing to put their careers and reputations on the line in order to testify - especially in a dud of a case like this.

Take Dr. Boch, for example. Well educated and apparently respected in her field. And she comes across looking like a fool with the dog and coyote remarks. This was broadcast live worldwide and then snippets replayed over and over.

Then there's Dr. Spitz who's credibility was shot when he couldn't remember being on the 'Today Show' a week earlier.

I don't get it - except that pure greed and the lure of fame puts stars in their eyes. I'm wondering how worth they think it was now? OTOH, Dr. Spitz said he thought he did an excellent job for the Defense. So... :waitasec:

I've been looking at that treadmill that inclines and has the virtual route set on the machine.You can google maps and the see the route or follow your route and the machine inclines according to the actual terrain.

Since I can't drink ,and I've eaten all the junk food in the house,I think I'll go order one now,to make myself feel better .

II can't wait to see ICA 's face when she hears GUILTY.

My Proform treadmill does this. But the program is expensive and IMO isn't worth it. I just program mine manually and it does the job just fine.

So what there are photos of Caylee being SUPERVISED by Cindy climbing the pool ladder and playing in the pool? Just to put some nefarious image in mind of a drowning? Not going to fly with me. Now if you showed me a picture of a rundown backyard with a rickety ramp running up to the open pool I might consider that a drowning MIGHT be possible. To me they are just pictures, nothing more, nothing less. Now the pictures of the skull with the duct tape, that's another matter...

My mom never followed this case until I told her to watch the trial starting day one. She is now hooked but ever so confused. I am hoping the jury is not as confused as she it. Everyday she thinks something different. One day, she is not guilty, the next day the father had something to do with it, then the brother had to have helped, RK is involved somehow, blah blah. She is beyond confused, mostly by the defense team. It frustrates me to no end that she buys into some of the defenses motives, having followed this from the get go and already have read transcripts, watched all the jail house tapes etc. I have a bad feeling, but I hope I am WRONG. DEAD WRONG! Anyone experiencing this with other friends or family members who aren't as addicted as us?

Yes, my mom is following the trial as well and knew only the very basic facts (like the 31 days) going in to the trial. She has not been snowed, er, convinced, by the defense at all and she told me she thinks ICA is guilty as sin of 1st degree murder and she would absolutely find her guilty.

She did say she doesn't think the jury will vote for the DP based on ICA's youth and being female, but it's possible. More likely LWOP.

She is super disgusted by the Anthonys and thinks that Cindy breaking down on the stand early on was mainly an act and that Cindy was primarily crying for ICA and not as much for Caylee.

Not to worry my mom started following as trial started also they tend to confuse themselves, one day she called me and said they had found Caylee's leg in ICAs car. It was the leg of the blowfly. go figure. LOL

Good point, also a possibility. It's unlikely to take as long to go back to trial a second time, as most of the groundwork is already done but it's still a huge expense and could end up in a hung jury again.

I really feel manslaughter is where all this heading, one way or another.

I have a question that is probably rather dumb. It seems clear that the DT is trying to pin everything on George. Is it possible that an investigation would take place involving George after ICA's trial? I don't believe George was involved but wouldn't they go after him for being an accomplice?

No. Everyone knows KC lies and GA will not be looked into as there is no proof, no reason. Since there were not any medical reports from her childhood or family, friends of family, teachers coming forward there is no ground to pursue the idea.

Maybe he overheard another fight, this one between GA and CA, with GA saying he wouldn't change his statement that he never touched ICA when the defense called him to testify (maybe CA offered to give him some of her amazing memory-enhancing meds and he refused). LA toddled off to warn JB, at which point the defense bartered away the molestation accusations in exchange for a more pliable GA, and we saw the DT take a sharp left turn starting yesterday.

Depending on what goes down on the rest of the defense case, I wouldn't be shocked if the prosecution offered a plea bargain to manslaughter or negligent manslaughter type charges. It would make Casey culpable for the death of Caylee, at least in theory of her not supervising the child properly and not calling for appropriate help with 911 to at least try to revive the theoretically drowned little one. The jury may come back with a manslaughter count of some sort as a compromise to avoid an endless deadlock.

Never going to happen. I think it may well end in deadlock, personally - it's become too personal to the SA and the USA. Both sides learned from their mistakes first time around. I know we are mid defence and it's easy to feel "scared", but remember we have the SA rebuttal the juror's will be left with, not the defence. IMO SA is saving ALOT for rebuttal and purposally NOT going there on cross so they can leave the jury with their side.

I understand Lee was supposed to be upset because he was not "included" in the birth of Caylee but I still do not understand WHY that was so upsetting? I do not understand how the defense can claim in opening statements that George "put his penis" in Casey's mouth and that "Lee so wanted to follow in his father's footsteps..." and then have Lee crying on the stand that he was not there to see Casey in a intimate situation. How they can let him say he was "waiting for her outside the bathroom" and "noticed her midsection."

If I were on the jury I might infer the reason Cindy and Casey didn't want him there was because "Lee so wanted to follow in his father's footsteps" and had molested Casey. Remember! Casey told Cindy what Lee was doing to her and Cindy stated that must be why Casey was such a . :dunno:

furthermore I tend to agree with Bill S. that they will not get this case by Saturday... I imagine (at the rate Baez is going) that they will go into thursday.. than rebuttal will take two days... I bet they don't even finishing closing until after the holiday... (jmhoo)

Every morning there are a few posts in the trial thread that have links. Some of the kind posters here have put them all in their signature lines. So, look through the first couple of pages tomorrow morning. Bookmark according to which link your computer plays best with.

There is also a sticky in the Caylee forum, in the top section. The thread says Streaming Links and it is authored by Chiquita. I put my laptop on SLEEP on that sticky at night so I can wake up open to that page of links.
