LOL, I know that's right. I hope I can sleep through the night.

However, I keep getting deja-vu, back to a time when I was working at a place where two employees had a big row on a Friday after noon. They were taken into the managers office, other managers came and went. We could hear yelling, one employee came out with tears streaming down her face. Rumors abounded over who would get fired, and what had happened.

Other employees called each other and emailed all weekend long. Monday could not get there soon enough. When Monday came BOTH employees were back as if nothing had ever happened, and we NEVER found out what happened.

I hope not...But this situation could turn out the same.:maddening:

:floorlaugh: I think we may all have had that experience once or twice.

I agree, and this is the only theory of the countless that are out there that makes any sense to me. It explains JB's discomfort when CM asked for the sidebar, and how he pulled CM out of the sidebar and seemed to try to convince him not to go forward with it. It explains JA's expression during those few seconds when he, FG, LDB and the HHJP were waiting for CM and JB to come back. JA was nodding his head as if thinking "yes, this makes sense. It's serious, but not unexpected. Of course she's unhappy with him!" It explains why the defense team met with the judge without the SA present. It explains why the trial had to be recessed even though there were several witnesses waiting to testify. I'm guessing that KC made some remark about JB at the meeting that they had right before the day started, and that CM decided to take it seriously. It also makes sense with the comments that Baez allegedly made to Geraldo that the trial would continue Monday morning as if nothing had ever happened because, as we well know, JB has always been over-confident. He expects that KC will decide to keep him (maybe with some convincing on his part). I know that I, for one, will be glued to my screen at 8:30 tomorrow, though I predict that they will go straight to sidebar. Grrrr.

It also explains the flirting she's been doing with CM lately, while more or less ignoring JB except the odd whisper and look. Most of her "charm" has been turned to CM. I wonder if she thinks JB is completely tanking her case because he no longer wants/likes/believes her. \

So she turns to the older CM and starts to groom him, essentially, with all the touching and flirting and he's clearly responding to this attention. Now JB has messed up just seriously enough that she has a legit reason to ask him to step down (or step down from being the primary defense attorney, relegating him to CM's former background position), ICA believing that CM, under her spell, will fight harder for her. ???

It does make sense. CM may have asked for the weekend to catch up to where he should be as "first chair" or whatever you call the main attorney.

LDB when listening to CM had a very intensely concentrated look on her face. She also did as they walked through the door to go to the back room. She had her hand to her face (I think she does that while concentrating hard) as she walked through the door. I can imagine her wondering what this might mean as far as new strategy, etc.

When did that take place? When JB interrupted the sidebar I thought HHJP went in his door, but the DT & KC went in the holding cell door.
There are two different times people went into judges chambers. Let me see if I can find it.

Many people have been dissecting the body language of the key players and speculating about what the meeting behind closed doors could possibly mean but I haven't read anything about the last minute of this video when DS approaches JA and LDB Saturday morning. FG is busy on the phone, LDB appears to be watching or looking to see if someone has left (just prior to DS arriving at the PT table) and JA appears to be quite animated during the conversation with DS. It's hard to tell if JA is smiling or not but he sure is moving his arms and head while conversing.

23:00 minute mark

I noticed that, too. Before she goes over there, IMO, it looks like JB is telling her to do something.
I know it was said she was going to be in on a depo JA was doing in the afternoon....
He DOES look animated....although he always seems very "gesturey" to me...LOL
I was thinking he was looking at the clock...but, who knows anymore.
I give up!! It's almost tomorrow...well, almost 6 pm....LOL

It'll be just our luck....NOTHING will be different...we won't hear ANYTHING...and we'll all feel like we were in the Twilight Zone on Saturday!!

Sorry if I came across as harsh - I apologize. However, it doesn't change how I feel. I was around for the David Westerfield case (I worked with Damon). Guess what - he never quit his job, Brenda didn't go on disability. Damon took time off for the trial, but not the time that it took it to go to trial. Why wasn't Cindy working between 2008-2011?

Again, knowing the parents of a murdered child, the notoreity here in San Diego was huge (even going so far as accusing the parents of being drug addicts and swingers). It was horrible. They were on the news or on the front page every single day.

But Damon had a safe place to land at work, and it was important for them to maintain some kind of normalcy in their household. Nothing was going to bring Danielle back.

So that's where I'm coming from. I know many a murdered family member who doesn't have the luxury of sitting on their rear for 3 years while waiting for the trial. It goes beyond my comprehension.

1 parent perhaps, but both, and the brother?

Nahhh...something ain't right. But that's just my opinion.

Thanks!

Mel

You make a good point and looking at it from that perspective I'll have to agree with you. Perhaps it's their own guilt that keeps them from wanting to be around people. I'm sure they are carrying a lot of that. Thanks for explaining.

I know exactly what you mean. Our son is 23, our daughter is 19. So I kind of look at the situation and see Casey and her pregnancy in that light. And I know that IF [ God forbid] our daughter became pregnant right now, our son would be pretty upset with her. She has no fiance so to speak, and she has a lot of future goals and plans. So our son would be disappointed with her. And she takes his criticism to heart. I am sure he would be supportive eventually, but at first he would be upset.
So I can easily understand why Casey would want to keep her brother out of the loop at first. So it bugs me that the DT is trying to make that an ugly, sinister thing instead of kind of a normal thing between a big brother and a little sister. Big brothers are kind of strict with their sisters. It does not mean they are abusing them, it is because they are protecting them. imoo

sorry mods if this is too OT just delete

my daughter's bf broke up with her about a month before prom. i suggested she ask my son's best friend to take her. She said "eeew mom that's like taking my brother".

my son and i said at the same time "that's the whole idea, nothing will happen."

lol, he worries about her and expects the best of her at all times.

I'm sure this has been posted but I watched one of the videos of yesterday and before ALL the atty's went in, you could see CM motion to DS with his hand, what I took to be, no not yet, in a few minutes, as if DS was wanting to know if her,and or KC was needing to go in. So to me it appears that CM had already planned to have a meeting of DT when he got there.

It makes sense to me that he would cry now and not two years ago. The way I read it, he, along with everyone else in the family, believed up until 6 or 7 weeks ago still believed the whole Zanny thing. Then he finds out that he was bamboozled along with everyone. The whole thing was a lie. Caylee drowned in the pool. (That's not what I believe, but I think the family believes it, at least to a point). So now he knows he looks like an idiot. He has been defending her all along. All those jail visits of him trying to get the secret code info out of her. That alone should make him cry. Plus, now he probably really thinks "oh my god, my sister is a freakin monster". Seems pretty stressfull to me.

I certainly don't know this case inside and out as some here do but I'm wondering IF they really still believed the whole Zanny story until just recently... Am also wondering who did they think they were having cremated in January or February of 2009 IF they believed Caylee was still alive..Just doesn't make any sense to me... Why even bother to have a cremation and a memorial for a child IF you are still going to pretend she is still alive...
Also, I recall Lee telling someone at some point in time he believed everything his sister said.. Now, how dumb is that?

Sorry, but their actions and some of the statements they have made just boggles the mind...I don't trust their actions or anything they say...JMHO

I'm pages behind, trying to catch up with this thread, but want to ask what everyone expects in the coming week.

The DT says they will rest on Wednesday or Thursday, and the state will do a rebuttal with an estimate of 1 - 2 days. So the jury will likely get this case on Friday or Saturday. From what HHBP said, it sounds like the jury may deliberate over the 4th of July weekend. So we might have a verdict the following week, anytime from Tuesday, July 5th through that week.

I expect the DT to expand on their opening statement regarding accidental drowning. The DT's argument that it was an accidental drowning is the only thing they have.

I think the state's rebuttal will be stunning! I expect the state to put Dr. Garavaglia on the witness stand to refute the allegations by Dr. Spitz that the autopsy was shoddy. I also expect the state to introduce phone records that will show that Cindy was at work at the time the searches for chloroform, neck-breaking, household weapons, etc. were made. Those same records may refute the theory of an accidental drowning too.

What do you expect this week? Who will be put on the witness stand? Will we get any explanation in regards to the "legal matter" that brought Saturday's session to a halt?

The state also has some of Cindy's coworkers on their witness list I believe. So it is possible that they may negate some of what she said on the stand.

Also, the DT is going to have to give a bit more detail about the tragic drowning scenario. Somehow I don't think ' it happened early morning, no afternoon, wait..in the morning--but no one will ever know" is quite enough for this jury. Of course once they do narrow it down the state will be all over them with cell pings and texts and neighbors testimonies. There are houses which have a clear view of the yard. They will also have the records showing exactly what was happening during the chloroform searches. Apparently there are NO SEARCHES for chlorphill. That would be huge to bring before the jury. And of course that fact that they were interspersed with Myspace searches, seconds apart. And aren't acetone, alcohol, peroxide ingredients for chlororform? Kind of suspect that Cindy would be looking those up randomly.

I am curious about what Baez is going to finish up with. Geraldo said he KNEW that we were going to be hearing a lot more from Lee, George and Cindy. So that will take a good while for cross and direct. And then there is Kronk and Krystal waiting . And the witnesses waiting from Friday. He has quite a lot of testimony left, imo. I wonder if any is going to help.

All of those cops waiting were supposedf to be interviewed so that the DT could prove that LE jumped to conclusions when they arrested Casey. And the DT is saying they should have investigated a pool accident instead. But we have the cops on tape begging Casey to admit to a drowning. And we have Yuri asking Shirley, the great grandma if Cindy ever discussed an accidental drowning. And we have the yard being searched and the pool even being tested IIRC. And the cadaver dogs hit in the opposite end of the yard from the pool. And Casey was insisting the child was still alive in the nanny's care.
So that whole road is going to be another dead end, imo. Nobody is going to listen to Casey's initial interviews and all of those lies and wild goose chases and find fault with her being arrested, imo.

JB can go ahead and file his motion against JA regarding Rodriguez; I don't see it going anywhere. JB agreed to let Rodriguez go so it is not a situation where a defense witness is not being allowed to testify against the will of the DT.

As for the court recessing on Saturday after a closed-door meeting between judge, defense attorneys, and defendant, some believe the early recess may have been because Casey was ill but I am not so sure about that. If illness of the defendant were the only reason for court recessing early, Judge Perry would have announced to the court that Ms. Anthony was ill, just as he did the last time court recessed early because she was ill. The meeting was recorded but the record was ordered sealed so it has to be something more significant than just Casey not feeling well.

I am sorry if this has been asked before.....Do you think CM found out Baez and ICA are having intimate relations??? Far fetched I guess...:sheesh:

He hasn't really been a regular visitor to her in jail these last couple of years. So I doubt it.

Did anyone understand the strange question by the judge as to "What is the defense theory?". I thought it was strange that the judge was asking the defense this question. This was only in response to letting some witness in, I believe. I never got the gist of it.

I believe that he asked that simply because the information the DT has been seeking on their CIC has not addressed some of the very important points they made in OS. And i think HHJP is correct in that the DT's theory may be evolving over time. jmo

I'm thinking IF that ever happened..That was then..This is now..

I think that we can rule out anything negative involving the prosecution because the judge would not have had a meeting with def team alone and not included pros if it was about them. It appeared it was CM doing and JB not wanting it to me. I first thought that CM was wanting off the team because he is wearing out and losing interest. I have started agreeing with those who think CM has offered up something JB did so that he will not get the blame and wants to save his own reputation.

My question is: If this remains sealed and we are never told what went down then anything the defense gets called on will reflect on CM too. So what does it mean if it always remains sealed and we do not see any changes on Monday?

I just remembered...someone posted earlier about Mallory knowing alot more than she was saying. If you read her deposition, she is not very forthcoming. What I mean is, she seems to "know" very little about the family she is marrying into. Did she not EVER ask any questions. If you believe her depo...she doesn't know JACK!
