I think the hand waving frustrated gesture is because she is not being allowed to put the witnesses on the stand who will say what she thinks will convince the jury there was no duct tape on Caylee's nose and mouth (Dr. Rodriguez was going to talk about the positioning of the duct tape), and that the source of the stench in the trunk of the car was not Caylee's body decompoing (Dr Furton was going to point out the source of the smell due to items in the trunk), and Cindy was not allowed to say that she and George were having marital problems, and then Lee did not say that his parents thought he could be Caylee's father.

The Defense team, and especially the Inmate, really thought they had some good, helpful witnesses in Rodriguez and Furton [and a side bonus of getting Ashton/Mr. George in trouble for some alleged misconduct]. They are frustrated that things are not going as planned. I think the Inmate is angry with her "boy" Baez for not making this happen.

I'm lost at the end...about who JG is and also why Casey would be smirking if there was new evidence against her...

I really think the Inmate was smiling at the blonde court reporter lady when the Judge walked by. She was looking in her direction and the Inmate has smiled at this lady before and vice versa. The court reporter probably made some face or something after coming back from the jury room with Judge Perry... the Inmate's smile melts fairly quickly and back to the serious thoughts at the moment.

Eh, I've been reading on this case for a month now and I guess that I missed something on April Whalen. I checked WFTV's evidence archive for this name and couldn't find it. How does April Whalen prove to you that Caylee didn't drown? I don't believe she drowned either, just curious about this name.

EDIT: I googled her name, now I see. Sorry for not doing that before posting, lol!

Oh it's one of those truly damning things that just popped up. And it's so classic KC yet so chilling at the same time.

After JB's rather theatrical opening statement where he went into great detail about Caylee having drowned in the family pool, and that she was found in the pool by her grandfather, someone contacted the SA's office. (Note JB's opening statement is the first time anyone had heard the actual "drowning story" that the defense was running with, and knew any details beyond a rumor that they could claim drowning). Well the SA got a tip about a female inmate that had been at the Orange county jail, and in the same unit/pod/area as ICA who's real life story sounded remarkably similar to this defense claim. April Whalen, who's 2 year old son drowned in the family above ground pool and was found by the grandfather a few years ago. April was in the jail and on the floor at the same time as KC. The details in her supposed story are exactly the same as is being claimed by the defense (well except for the claims of kidnapping and disposing of the child like trash. In Aprils tragic case 911 was immediately called and all efforts were made, sadly to no avail).

You know how KC's lies always have some elements of truth to them. Usually that she borrowed from somewhere else? Like how the whole Zanny the Nanny story perfectly lines up with a plot from the TV show that she liked, One Tree Hill. Well we just found the source of the details used for the drowning lie.

That was the script for Lee, but he didn't follow through ... Baez' good buddy Geraldo told the world.
I think Lee was crying because he couldn't recite the script and help save his sister.
I think the Inmate was crying when she realized Lee was NOT going to follow the script.

excerpt:
Rivera also shared details about the Baez lunch with Juan Williams on "The O'Reilly Factor" television show.

He observed: "He [Baez] wanted that jury to know that those parents feared Lee Anthony was the father of that child. That's why they didn't want him involved in the baby's birth. That's where he was going. The judge stopped it."

Do you realize how freakin sick this is?? Seriously, folks, Lee went thru something horrendous with an ex, who turns out to be the ex of one of Casey's paramours....and he will never know that child. We all read his MS page, saw raw pain but ICA sees nothing , knows nothing and feels no sorrow for her brother, rather use him as an excuse for sympathy from Jesse Grund and TonE and an excuse to get her off scot free for murder. Oh, what I would not give for ten minutes with ICA, just to talk...

Good for Lee. He played them!!! And Geraldo is still calling him creepy. Pot...meet kettle.

It's okay to laugh because we live in California. If we lived in Orlando I would be more seriously afraid. lol

I did make my son watch Tony L's testimony because he happened to come home to visit that day. I was like , look at that guy.- he moves a girl in after 2 weeks and look what happened. Keep that in mind. LOL

:floorlaugh::crazy:

Well I don't take a smile with Casey to mean anything except she is proud of herself for causing a problem. Whatever it is she was behind it in my opinion.

She also laughed and joked at the end of the hallway in the conference room with the 3 detectives... about how uncomfortable the chairs were but said she was fine. She is just inappropriate in her behavior.

Ugh. I've been missing so much lately! Lots to read up on. I saw court was recessed early today. Did we ever find out the reason?? Thanks in advance.

I don't understand your point.

Sorry. Jose was whining to GR that the court was making him narrow the testimony of his witnesses and today he whined about the same thing, only with Furton. Does this have to do with the judge asking them what their defense was? Or was this a plan in action yesterday and Jose getting his argument out into the media before he said the same thing this morning.

Beings I believe KC is a true Borderline, I wonder if she has, once again, split up her team. Borderlines are notorious for playing one against the other. Is it possible there is a rift between Baez and Mason?

I caught a look of disgust on Baez face when ICA walked in. The look wasn't directed at her but the timing was odd. We were told he spent some time in the holding cell w/ICA before entering the courtroom. I suspect ICA is at the hub at w/e is going on.

Probably. I remember reading a sidebar where Mason stated something like "Was defense maybe overly eager in its opening statement? Maybe" and I thought, code talk for "Yes, I know JB is a moron." I don't think it's caused by KC. More the fact that JB sucks so bad.

Nope. Not yet. The records are sealed.

I still have no idea what happened today...one person says CM was wiping his eyes, someone else says he was dressing down JG. :waitasec:

The only thing I DO know is that I hope one of those little DT interns decides being a lawyer is not for her after this and she writes a book that spills everything that happened that we couldn't hear/see.

In a nutshell... what the heck happened today? I had my conceal & carry class, which I left for at 7:15 a.m., and didn't get back in until almost 12 hours later after class & range qualifications. No testimony at all today? What the heck?!?!?!? This is getting crazier by the day. I feel so bad for the jury! They've given up almost a month of their lives and counting so far... this is crazy!

This is actually a pretty good summary report / video that will catch you up, IMO.

Munchausen by Proxy Syndrome ... "an individual — usually a mother — deliberately makes another person (most often his or her own preschool child) sick or convinces others that the person is sick. The parent or caregiver misleads others into thinking that the child has medical problems by lying and reporting fictitious episodes. He or she may exaggerate, fabricate, or induce symptoms. As a result, doctors usually order tests, try different types of medications, and may even hospitalize the child or perform surgery to determine the cause. Typically, the perpetrator feels satisfied by gaining the attention and sympathy of doctors, nurses, and others who come into contact with him or her and the child. Some experts believe that it isn't just the attention that's gained from the "illness" of the child that drives this behavior, but also the satisfaction in being able to deceive individuals that they consider to be more important and powerful than themselves."

Sound familiar? While I don't believe MBPS is a factor in Casey Anthony's case it is obvious that early on she was all about Casey and she enjoyed attention ... and lots of it. The comparison of Casey Anthony to MBPS shows what extreme lengths individuals will go to get what they want ... like drugging and killing their child in order to go out to party ... covering up the death by blaming it on nanny abduction ... fabricating stories about being sexually abused by your father and brother ... and the list goes on. IMO ... her actions / behavior after Caylee "disappeared" spoke volumes about her mentality. As in the case of MBPS, she had also finally gotten what she wanted and even got a tattoo to commemorate it! Bella Vita ... beautiful life. I'm sure, at that point in time her ego probably wouldn't allow the possibility but I believe she may find the rest of her life a little less attractive behind bars.

To read about MBPS ...
