Well, I think a strike against KC taking the stand is the defense plans to rest after lunch, if I heard right. If KC was gonna take the stand, there's no way the defense could rest today, IMO.

ETA: it just occurred to me that Baez may not have a clue that KC is going to pop up and tell HHJP she wants to testify.

My guess is she's not taking the stand, and the extra time was about what Baez was whining about this morning regarding the Cindy timecard fiasco, and the new DT? I think that's because they have exhasted their supply of who is willing to put up with ICA and are going to the JV squad.

I read somewhere last night that LDB has been working for 2 years on a cross of ICA should that happen.

Hmm, IF and that's a big IF KC ignores her counsel and takes the stand I'd say that Linda would be able to ellicit the most from KC.

KC stares at Linda at times in a way that is downright scary. KC may hate her Mother to such an extent that was one of the reasons she murdered Caylee (speculation).

If Linda got up there and started pinning KC down and not letting KC speak as she wants and generally frustrates KC---we might see fireworks?

I vote for Linda to do the cross IF Kc gets up on the stand JMHO

I have always thought that the tape was applied premortem with evidence of her hair being stuck to it...as if she was shaking her head "No, Mommy, No" and it was forced on her. I'm sorry to put that picture in your minds as it is nighmarish. Just what I've always thought.

I too have a belief that the tape was put on prior to death. I had hoped the state would have presented this in the case in chief and hasn't. I'm holding out hope that they will in the rebuttal. We shall see. I've been holding out hope anyhow! =-) If not, I'll be wrong and got excited about nothing. =-0 If my husbands and my theory has any merit Casey is caught. I guess I'll find out.

Also, with the other two seemingly good (more experienced) attys on the DT, why is JOSE being allowed to pull the wagon/run the show/cut his teeth.... however you say it?

One of the WESH TH said that the DT has only had 5 witnesses testify vs. the 6 they supposedly had. Maybe ICA will testify?

Am I the only person who has mixed emotions about Casey testifying? I want her to, but she is such an effective liar, and I don't want her planting the least hint of reasonable doubt into the minds of these jurors. Especially the all important Juror#4.

When she spoke in court yesterday, I was really taken aback. And I really don't know why. I believe wholeheartedly that Casey Anthony is 100% guilty (and have for 3 years), but when she spoke yesterday, she didn't sound like I thought she "should". She didn't sound like how I thought a murderous mother would sound if that makes sense. She sounded a little more humanized to me, and I don't want the jury to feel that way too.

Don't worry. The jury did get to witness Casey in the jail house videos, the ones where she cried, played the part and tried to be the effective liar. At this point in the trial, this jury realizes that what she says has to be taken with a grain of salt. She has showed no remorse, and no emotions during the times when even the jury was sad at what they were hearing and seeing and only seen emotion from Casey when she was being talked about.
Casey would really break down on the stand, but only for herself and this jury already expects it of her.
Maybe they need to see how she thinks her lies will over run everyone's common sense. I think the jury will be ticked that this young woman thinks she can pull the wool over the entire world's eyes, including them.
