She was examined and the findings were sealed by Judge Strickland. The DT brought in two additional psychs, but later dropped them when they realized bringing in those two would allow the state to have her examined by a psych of their choice.

They didn't want the jury to think she was a sociopath because that would mean she was capable of all that she was being accused of and more...

Do you think we'll ever see those reports? Has that been mentioned? Or will it be sealed forever?

Also, they could have shown those reports to the jury and I still think they'd have acquitted her.

ITA! I know NG can be rude but she is a voice for victims.

Perhaps, my patience is increasing...but I really think the last few times I've watched her show, Nancy G has been noticeably calmer, not as rude and much less emotional.

Since she's out next week, I sure hope it's a shrink or someone who can really sit down with her and help her. I don't see it happening though but I really hope she gets her life together and somehow manages to do some good but I don't see it happening. I think we'll be right back here again in a few years.

I hope these psychiatrists have come up a treatment for ASPD. There is really very little evidence that so-called sociopaths respond to any kind of treatment. What evidence there is appears to be shaky at best. I seriously doubt Casey thinks she needs help. Some treatment may have minimal effect but there is no known way to help an adult develop empathy and without that you're going to be pretty screwed up. The only way treatment can help them change their behavior is to show how their bad behavior will hurt them directly. They simply don't care about anyone else other than what they can get from them.

Well, that's Nancy's schtick. Of you are an idiot if you disagree with her. I'm more bothered especially with the fact she doesn't explain that the jury voting not guilty doesn't mean they believe the defense or that she was innocent. That's a pretty big distinction and BS pointed this out when he was on Tuesday, (after Nancy paused with the yelling)

Has Nancy covered any other cases since the trial started? She will pick a case, glomp onto it and report it night after night even when nothing is happening. Before Caylee there was Laci Peterson and Natalee Holloway among others. It's great that she publicizes missing persons cases but Caylee isn't the only child to be killed by a parent, sad to say. It's not news reporting; it's true crime as entertainment. Tragedy brings ratings points. That's not all her fault as this a whole cottage industry. She is just the best example of this kind of "journalism".

I'm not sure if they will ever be unsealed, but given the amount of information Florida's Sunshine laws let out, I can only hope we will be able to see them one day.

As an educator, I sincerely question this jury's ability to comprehend and use higher order thinking skills. To ignore reason and logic in place of speculation is unfathomable.

I think Dr. Drew ask JA that last night. AL I remember JA saying those are under seal and could not take about it.

IF she ever talks about it in a book deal then I could see the media asking for it to be unsealed since she talked about it. Other than that I don't see it ever being unsealed Hippa laws MOO

Yes, and Jeff A has mentioned this in every single interview that I have watched. Those who watched the Judge today regarding releasing the jurors' names, heard a version of what Jeff A has been trying to get across to the public-it's not a sporting event; no need to root for a side, etc. The judge was clearly concerned for the jurors' safety today.

I also found it interesting that it was reported on NG that Lee has gotten a new attorney and is not being represented by the Anthony attorney anymore. It was overheard by a producer in court this morning when Lippman was talking to the Anthonys.

Gotta wonder why at this point. I think we will hear more about this in the future.

the public, in this case, actually had more evidence available tonthem than the jury did becasue there was no exclusion based on DT objection. Many many people had a command of the evidence and based their opinions on that as did the media. The public and the media reviewed all available evidence and strongly believed in her guilt, not based on hate or emotion but rather on what actually happened and almost while it happened in many cases. The DT can spin the evil media angle all day long but everyone knows that Caseys actions caused their opinion.

I can't stand NG and I stopped watching her show in early 2009 because I got sick of her histrionics and the berating she does of her guests. However, I don't believe that she "convicted" Casey or that she's upset about being wrong. I believe that she genuinely believed Casey was guilty and that she's most likely upset because she disagrees with the verdict-not because she feels badly about being wrong. She's obnoxious on her show but I believe that she genuinely cares about victims' rights. She just needs to learn tact and decorum. I'd watch her show again if she'd stop acting so obnoxiously.

I really disagree with CM when he mentions that everyone wanted to convict Casey because of what they heard from the media. I don't think he could be more wrong. The evidence released throughout the investigation and in the last 2 years was what I believe caused many people out there to believe Casey was guilty-myself included. I believe that the Florida Sunshine Laws had more to do with the public's feelings about Casey than anything Nancy Grace ever said. If people were swayed only because of NG, then they must not be too bright IMO.
