Go LDB!! Are they trying to say that she only lied once? Good grief.

wow LDB knows her case law!

  • #524
But... What if dang this was a brilliant move on the defenses part

  • #525
Yes, a temporal break. I like that! Thanks, LDB. :)

  • #526
Yes! Separate and distinct acts needed by law enforcement! That's what I think too.

I think it should be based on the number of wild goose chases LE suffers! Zanny, Sawgrass, Universal, The park, the car, SIM cards, etc etc etc

ETA: HA even Linda said wild goose chases!!!

Go Linda! THREE separate statements!

  • #528
She's going to buy an RV and be a photographer, remember? She's an artist. Meh.

  • #529
they should have had a charge for every single lie. She'd still get life in prison

  • #530
I think the young attorney spoke very well...

I don't think they expected this motion to go through, but it was more "in-court" practice for Ms. Fryer.

Burdick said these are separate lies. #CaseyAnthony #sentencing

#lindadraneburdick now arguing against consolidating all four counts in to one. There are several lies, not just the ones charged.

State says these are not single acts. It's different conduct. Says here are several lies. #CaseyAnthony -jfell

This isn't a podunk jury they have to convince, it's the judge!

  • #533
Sorry, I think it should be based on the number of wild goose chases LE suffers! Zanny, Sawgrass, Universal, The park, the car, SIM cards, etc etc etc

ETA: HA even Linda said wild goose chases!!!

That's what it means, I agree completely!

  • #534
Apparently even in her happy place LDB makes her mad.

  • #535
I am sorry but I am going to be vindictive here which is NOT in my nature...

I say let her walk today and into the mob of a society that is rejecting her.....NOT three or four years from now when no one realizes she is being released....

Oh come on...you wouldn't like to see her released into general population in jail? :innocent:

  • #536
He can NOT come back in the court room as a SA....

Also It is probably to painful for him....

Sorry. I thought they had said it was effective starting Friday.

And once again the DT turns something in at the last minute.

A bumbling farce right to the end. JB must have done a deal with the devil to win this case...because he and his team have no legal expertise.

  • #538
I don't know what Judge Perry feels. If she walks out today, I might honestly throw up, and I don't know how I'll make it through work later. It would be a travesty.

  • #539
Linda is making very good points here. If he rules that this is double jeopardy, it could possibly have far reaching consequences.

  • #540
Thank goodness there is no jury, she's sitting before DA JUDGE!!!!
