How appropriate a statement for Baez to make. I also heard his theory on how Caylee died and who disposed of her body.

Do I believe either. Not a chance!

FWIW a gynecologist is the physician of choice for all women to see while pregnant. I can't imagine going to a General Practitioner for a pregnancy, no way would I entrust my health or that of my unborn child to the GP down at the clinic. In order to assure the safest outcome possible, I'm going to the expert that has had the most experience and knowledge in his/her respective field.JMO.

Hi ll, Maybe it's different up there in Canada, but here we have OBGYNs,
Obstetrician/Gynecologist. They do both, deliver babies/prenatal care and female problems.

Oh we do too, but they only deal with special risk babies unless you have $$$ and don't feel like shlepping to someone as lowly as a GP.

We also now have midwives and duala's for deliveries , but as sure as there have been men and woman - there have been babies being delivered. And only a few of them need specialists - unless they are a result of fertility treatments or known as having pre-birth health problems.

A comment made by CM to Jean C., in her interview, stood out to me. He said, "She is tough, she has guts, she's as tough as they come" My first thought was, she's not tough, she is a Sociopath, with no conscience or apathy for anything, totally disconnected to real emotions.

Also, if you will remember, JB tried to have 2 guards from her floor at the Jail, testify, that she was always "happy" and didn't they think that strange, for someone facing a Death Penalty trial for Murder. When proffered, the Judge ruled against this. JB was pointing out, that "something is not right" with her. This demeanor has drawn many people to this case, watching this type of personality, in light of the seriousness of her crime. I feel, her Defense team, knows she is "not right" mentally.

If Casey is tough, if Casey has guts, if Casey is as tough as they come then why did she not protect Caylee? why did she not leave the home with Caylee and start her own life???

Seriously? What kind of GP's do you have down there? All pregnant women here have an ultrasound at four months, and the GP and hospital maternity care is outstanding here in Canada. In the city I live in we have a women's hospital where half of the hospital is devoted to birthday rooms, infant care and any kind of emergency treatment a mother or child could possibly require. I don't know about older mothers - who are in their late 30's or early 40's- maybe they need checking with an OBGYN if there are issues.

Both of my children were delivered by GP's - I had outstanding care - my births were faultless, and I had absolutely no complications and neither did my children.

Just the difference in quality of care I guess.

Wow - I have started watching the NG special on the case on HLN - and it is really upsetting all over again. It's painful to watch and I'm not sure I can watch it to the end.

CM may have not been active during the trial, but you can bet he was orchestrating in the wings. Baez would never have been clever enough to pull off what defense he managed to do. CM is a sly old fox in cowboy boots!

I am a southern female and we can spot one of our own males 200 yards away blindfolded. The "I'm just an old man that can't hear" was done to disarm and charm. The 'good ole boy' tactics were used to the hilt during jury selection.

He reminds me of what my mother used to tell me was 'A wolf in sheep clothing'. If you don't know what one looks like, go back and look at some of the video's of jury selection.

I think she will go where they take her (for treatment) and it will be similar to One-Hour-Photo or One-Day-Paint, One-Day-Cure

Thats about all she will be able to tolerate. At some point even the DT will admit they have no control over her and they'll wash their hands (if they are not on some missing persons poster by then)

I think if she goes into some sort of treatment place it will be for publicity only. I hate to compare her to a real celebrity but that's what she thinks she has become. What do ALL celebrities do when they get into trouble with the law and their images become tarnished--rehab. Plus it's the safest place for her to be right now until things cool down a bit and the talking heads move on to another subject.

Next time we see her she'll have an entire make over. Not just physical (hair, makeup, clothes) but her entire demeanor. Right now she comes off as an entitled spoiled brat with no remorse or mourning for Caylee. She will have to change her entire persona in order to be marketable for book/movie deals and even then, I'm not sure it will work.

There is way too much back lash right now against her so she'll go to rehab and her boys will talk for her. Oh Casey is so damaged by her family she needs to work through her pain and become a better person.

No, it's the same here logicalgirl. Our GPs (those who are willing considering the malpractice insurance) provide prenatal, delivery and postpartum care as well. In the event of an at risk mother or fetus, an OBGYN or a perinatologist would take over the case. Otherwise, no need to have a gynecologist unless it is a personal preference. The defense's insinuation that ICA wasn't taken to an OBGYN until her pregnancy was discovered due to fears of the discovery of evidence of molestation was ridiculous.

I think that's a good thought but we assume she has neither drug nor alcohol dependency, and she was checked out by three shrinks about three weeks before her trial ended so what would be the reason given for her not to be found in contempt for ignoring a subpoena?

I don't think needing spa massages and pedi/mani will cut it!:floorlaugh:

ITA ... she's definitely heading somewhere for R & R "therapy" ... and to hide out for a while ... IMO it won't be rehab or any place that has ANY rules whatsoever ... she will never go for that but will be fine with her lawyers saying that's where she is ...
Perhaps shopping therapy, message therapy and every kind of pampering therapy you could imagine ... that's sounds like what she'll be wanting and probably getting for the short term ...
My question is she needs money NOW so who will be subsidizing her ?

I don't think LA would reconcile either, but you never know.
I watched Dateline online and then watched another episode. In it a woman was sexually assaulted by her brother a few times but maintained a nice close relationship with him until he got arrested for murder. It came out that he had assaulted and raped some cousins as well, who never told either.

I can see her trying to patch things up with Lee probably telling him she was in a fight for her life and had to say what she said ... not sure if Lee would accept that or not ...

Now see, I missed that. But you are right. I never made that connection. I thought what is he talking about because my first visit was when I was pregnant. I don't think that would prove anything, really. So if CA didn't bring KC she did not suspect anything was wrong. If she did bring her would he be saying then CA must have been suspicious that something was going on? No wonder the jury was confused. jmo
