OMG I feel so bad for them. They look like the shock has worn off and the devastation has set in. They are heartbroken.

Josh attempted suicide once before and killed an animal.... WOW! I had NOT heard that before!!!
~yes he was a danger...jmo

Ack, I wish he had succeeded in his last suicide attempt. I also read he killed his sister's hamster by crushing it to death. That is a very bad sign of someone who moves on to humans next. It starts out with animal abuse and then the killer goes on to humans. I almost think there is another dead person JP is responsible for.

I forgot about his control of money and Susan having to garden for food.

NG: Why wasn't a murder warrant issued right then (when boys saw Mommy in trunk-picture drawn)?

I hadn't listened to the 911 recordings until tonight. Those gave me chills, and now, watching the parents/grandparents, my heart is just torn apart. Finding out on Facebook? Unimaginable. They have been through so much heartache, with Susan missing, with Powell Jr. and Sr., the custody battle, and Lord have mercy, now this, and all of the details that come with it. I can only hope that something, anything from this can bring Susan home, so that she can rest in peace with her sons. I also hope that this caseworker can find some way to find peace, to heal. After all of the cases that I've followed here, mostly as a lurker, I have never had part of my heart die like it has now. My husband and sons have been worried about my interest in these cases before; my son actually sat down with me today and talked to me about how concerned he is about my following the recent developments. I don't blame him. If my heart is breaking, if OUR hearts are breaking, how must the Cox family feel? How must that caseworker feel?

Three candles lit again, as they have been every night since Sunday. I am wishing love and comfort for the Cox family, and for you all here, who have kept vigil for Susan for so long. I hope and pray for answers. Stepping away now. This is just too damned hard.

I'm trying or at least I'm trying to make him leave MY HOUSE! He's no threat to me . . . I can kick his @$$ easily. I'm just sick of supporting him & his "publishing empire" !

The Coxes are so strong! Charlie was so hurt . . .

Chuck: ...they (the boys) went back to trained, coached response (I don't remember. I don't know.).

Chuck: Older one would get up and run away when asked about Mommy.

then allot of coached responses like 'I do not know' and run away from people
Charlie wouldn't talk........JP told them they would be abused and that

Coxes knew Steven Powell was shady . . . they are torn about how to deal with the plea with Susan's father in law
