So did MS call MP twice or once? When did he give him the garage code? What did MS say to MP? Can you check on my wife and just in case she doesn't answer the door here is the garage door code, go in the house and ....
^^^ snippedIt's certainly possible that MP learned that TS had flown Delta based on evidence at the crime scene (a boarding pass, luggage tag etc...)

According to MP's SWORN STATEMENT with LE, MS told MP that TS flew Delta:
BATES 5288 -
JN: Okay. Do you know, um, which airline she flew?
MP: I believe he said Delta.

Interesting, I'm gonna look at the timeline.I've been thinking about the Delta detail all day...
IMO, LE was a mere 1.5 hours into the investigation at the time of MP's interview. LE had a dead Doctor, a bloody hammer, and a husband out of town. I think at that point in the investigation LE was just collecting facts and establishing a timeline, in addition of course to processing the scene.
MP discovered TS's body just before 10 AM. MP was interviewed by LE from 11:35-11:52 AM.
LE may have determined at that point that TS had flown Delta (receipt, luggage tag, paper boarding pass/eboarding pass on phone, whatever) and were perhaps confirming this info with their witness.
It's certainly possible that MP learned that TS had flown Delta based on evidence at the crime scene (a boarding pass, luggage tag etc...) but he had already admitted to shaking her body (Bates 5106) during the 911 call and placed himself at the scene. So I don't think it's related to what MP saw/didn't see when he discovered TS.
I strongly suspect that at less than 2 hours into the investigation, LE wanted to confirm TS's itinerary so they're could retrace her steps. At that point in time LE may have suspected they had a staged crime scene but they wouldn't have known yet that MS is athat hired a hit. For all LE knew, the killer hid in TS's van or followed her home. So retrieving surveillance video would have been a priority. Since parking at the airport TS used can be dependent upon the airline one flies, this detail would be significant.
They may have suspected initially that MP was somehow involved, he did after all discover her body. So they may have wanted to determine if he knew TS's travel schedule prior to MS calling him to check on his wife. But they didn't ask MP to divulge his whereabouts for the 12 hours prior to finding TS. In the 911 call he stated that he last saw TS 2-3 weeks prior.
Yes, the purse on the breakfast counter/island. Can someone bring up the drawings of the layout of the house, again? Thanks!ROFLLLLLLL @ yer squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeI LOVE IT!

In relation to the timing of MP's interview, I do agree that it's natural to have done it as soon as possible because he was the discoverer.
I have a question after reading his account and then looking at the floorplan the fabulous NIN has provided us.
1) I assume it must be possible because MP said so, but I don't understand how, when looking from the outside of the front door, the purse on the counter could be seen.
2) How did her purse get onto the counter if she was ambushed immediately inside the garage/kitchen door?

ETA: According to MP's statement, it's a bit odd that MP saw her handbag on the breakfast island through the blinds. I do think MP is a sharp individual that made sure he remembered these details.
What I also find intriguing is why TS' handbag WOULD be on the island. Her travel bags were left at the doorstep of the garage/house door. As referenced, TS put her bags in-between the two to open the door to the main house.
Allegedly, this is when she was ambushed.
So, why would her handbag be placed on that kitchen island? Was it part of the staging?
Also, MP stated that there was "crap" allover the garage floor.

That makes it even weirder. Except now it's on MS's part. Why on earth did he feel it helpful to identify the airline to Dr. P? If I'm worried enough to call someone to check on my spouse the LAST thing I am going to think about is which airline she flew. He already knew she had landed and was paying her parking fees. So, Delta was totally irrelevant. The plane landed safely.
Methinks Mark Sievers was nervously running his mouth spewing a lot of random stuff. You know how sometimes folks just talk too much and disclose irrelevant stuff when they are incredibly nervous? I mean THIS - making THE call to someone to find her body - was his ONLY assignment in this conspiracy. And if he could have figured out a way to pawn that off on someone else, he probably would have.
