I was thinking he was here(FL), just hasn't been made public yet....? (Wishful thinking)

Still MiSsing the biggest piece it seeMS....

I see what you did there Raging Clue. You dropped a clue...I concur with your MiSsing piece.

Doesn't CWW have his extradition hearing in Missouri this week?

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk

If I remember correctly he has until the 25th to appeal the extradition and if he doesn't appeal he can come to Fl any time after the 25th. If he does appeal, there will be a hearing on the 30th. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, I'm totally working off memory here

ETA: even if he does appeal, IMO, he has a snowball's chance in hell of winning so he is only delaying the transfer to Fl by approx 5 days.

Texas is the only state that executes more than MO. If he is smart he will pack his bags and get the hell out of Dodge. Also MO does not have a segregated death row. They are mixed in general population inmates. So all's fair in love and war in the prison's here.

Historically, TX has performed the most executions; but according to recent stats:
Missouri “has outstripped Texas in terms of the execution rate per capita.“

In the Execution Business, Missouri Is Surging
Since Texas carried out the country’s first lethal injection in 1982, the state has performed far more executions than any other state. To date, 528 men and women have been put to death in Texas, more than the total in the next eight states combined.

But viewed from a slightly different angle, Texas has lost its place as the epicenter of the American death penalty, at least for the moment. Since November 2013, when Missouri began performing executions at a rate of almost one per month, the state has outstripped Texas in terms of the execution rate per capita. In 2014, both states executed 10 people, but Texas has more than four times the population of Missouri. This year, the difference is not quite as stark (Texas: 10, Missouri: 5) but Missouri still ranks number one.

CWW has until tomorrow, 9/25, to appeal extradition to Florida.

Thanks Chelly :). I hope he doesn't appeal it. This case already has so many twists and turns and keeps me busy with research, but the bottom line is that there needs to be justice for Dr. Teresa, the two young children, and all of her loved ones.

Reminder that today, September 25th is the deadline for CWW to file his petition.

"The role we have with the governors of other states with extradition generally happen quickly," Holste said. "Any further steps that would take place would take place in Jefferson County."

One of those steps is figuring out Wright's challenge of his extradition. Almond, his attorney, has until Sept. 25 to submit a petition.

Almond said there are a variety of options once the courts review the petition. He refused to speculate on what he thinks will happen, but did say Wright could be extradited immediately after the courts review the petition.

"On the other hand, they could wait until the 30th," Almond said referencing Wright's extradition hearing set for Sept. 30.

And remember Sheriff Mike Scott said he expects CWW will be here sooner rather than later. IMO he will be here very soon.

I checked out the Jefferson County Clerk's website. They have an option for attorneys to efile petitions, motions, etc... but there is no access for public viewing online.

I suspect that if he is going to file this petition (and I think he will), it will be done between 4:55 - 4:59p today. That is a common strategy used by lawyers. e.g, if he filed it early today, the court may take the time to review and deny it by this afternoon. If he files it right before the close of business today, at the least he could probably buy himself another 24 hours before he is turned over to FL.

We will probably find out the disposition as soon as a ruling is made. However, I think SMS is going to be very, very careful and extremely closed lipped about the exact date/time he will be transferred to FL. And rightfully so.

According to Curtis Wayne Wright's attorney, Friday is the last day he'll be able to file a formal petition to stop -- or delay -- Wright's extradition back to Lee County.
The Jefferson County (Mo.) clerk of courts said the petition can be filed electronically until midnight.

Hoping a local can obtain the docs if the sealed warrants are opened since there is no way to view them directly.

Thank you for posting this SeeSea.
Does the Sunshine law allow the public to view the search warrants and documents related to this case IF they are unsealed next month? I cannot wait to see the evidence!

Should we ask AZlawyer?

You're welcome! I haven’t reviewed Missouri’s Sunshine Law, but I doubt it is as open and liberal as Florida’s Sunshine Law. Perhaps AZlawyer knows?

Do we have anyone here from MO following the case?

I live in MO. If permitted when the search warrants are unsealed they will be in the press, trust me. I do believe that the reason the SW's are sealed, is at the request of FLA authorities. MO would have no reason for such a request. For that reason I think they will not be unsealed until the case gets to FLA.

With almost 4 pages of various Court actions MO will EXPORT him to FLA as soon as possible.

If any documents are not unsealed via the transfer to Florida but are unsealed in Missouri - and if the Missouri press does not publish - I will travel to St. Louis and get them or arrange to have it done. I know locals to St. Louis who would do it for me.

Thank u Amazon....you're the best!

I believe the motion and request to unseal the SW's was made as a FOI by the media outlets in STL. Therefor if/when they are unsealed they will get them first. We are all anxious to get answers to our questions.
