I don't think that gender should matter. Defense attorneys have clients that are accused of all sorts of horrible crimes.

Should female defense attorneys limit who they defend based on whether the crime was against a women? I doubt anyone would suggest that a male defense attorney should limit who they defend in the same gender based way.

That wasn't the avenue I was implying.....my comment meant that a female attorney was assigned for a brutal murder that took the life of another female.....

I wasn't talking about the comparison of male vs female....ppl really need to ask another poster if they are confused about a comment and not imply.....

I'm sure the lawyer that was assigned is good, I JUST thought it was interesting it was a female.....I have heard a lot of men retain female lawyers for a divorce , a tactic they use...... Might not help them but they do for strategy .

Well looks like MS and his bro lucked out at getting attorneys that have handled high profile cases before and for free. Poor Jimmy drew the wrong card.Not that I care. jmo.

They both (IMO) will end up w/a plea for life w/o parole to excape the death penalty.

IMO, MS will NEVER admit to orchestrating the blunt force trauma murder of his wife. He will continue to plead NOT GUILTY, even in the face of witness testimony (BFF CWW) and everything else LE has on him. The only way he will change his tune is if he is faced with the DP. Then he will try to save his sorry a$$. It didn't bother MS to plan the murder, make sure his wife made it to the airport on time, and check in with CWW to let him know the "plan" was still in place. But when it comes down to the 11th hour and his life is on the line, well different story. All just my humble opinion. And it makes me :furious:

You know that feeling you get when you witness your child or grandchildren prove they finally understand what you have slowly been trying to teach them? That Ah Ha moment. Sort of like the slower than average algebra student showing the teacher how they derived at their answer making the teacher smile?
If a person wanted to go back and look through the TS threads and see how many of us have had our Ah Ha moment(s) of realizing just how cruel and selfish MS is and how glad the girls have started a new path in the previous weeks. I have had a few Ah Ha Siever moments and felt compelled to type

Surely MS doesnt think his charm will work this time. Surely he has read all our comments and seen all the evidence against him here on WS And that is even w/o the MS doc dump (s) and probably mucho damning evidence that we know nothing about. I bet CWW has revealed some juicy insider info so maybe one day he can return to his new bride. Which just made me wonder..............I wonder if AW will wait the 25 yrs for her man. He would be approx 73 yrs old when he gets out. Not much honeymooning left.

The not guilty plea comes one day after the public defender’s office was removed from representing Mark Sievers in court. The office said the interests of Sievers are so adverse and hostile to those of another client, they asked a judge to be taken off the case citing a conflict of interest.

This is really great news for Teresa's girls and her family.

They have so much evidence against Mark Sievers- he's frickin delusional- even if everything is circumstantial, no one else stood to gain directly from this murder but Mark. Bye bye nagging wife with normal expectations from a partner- hello $4 million dollars and change.

I hope Jimmy Ray turns on him and pleads guilty when he's shown the evidence they have against him. I cannot wait to learn what is in the sealed plea from Curtis.

If Curtis did this for Mark weather it be misplaced brotherly love or he's in love with Mark, I have no problem connecting the story told to AW's coworker at Nicoletti's about a different version of why RB may have went missing. The wild thing would be to learn that Mark was the most depraved of them all.

He IS a monster and he will never have access to those little girls again.

I wonder if the handoff to MG was because of the family chosen by Mark wanting it for them or if the girls told the judge that's where they want to be. Anyone know how that would work or how that went down?

No matter- they are there and we can all breathe a sigh of relief. I bet Mark was fuming when he found out. That SOB can't be put away fast enough for me. The best thing will be the day that it's over- no more court dates or attention just forever to rot in a jail cell with men of his own ilk and worse.

I'm in two minds on this. In the short term I think it'd be better for the kids if there wasn't a trial.

But even if MS pleads guilty or no contest, I have no doubt he'd still protest his innocence to the girls.

If there is a trial, when the girls are old and ready enough, they can look back at the evidence and see it cross examined and make their own minds up.

The Sunshine Laws dilute my argument a bit, as they'll no doubt be able to view a lot of the evidence even without a trial.

All in all, I do think that in the long term a trial may be for the best. (Unless MS does actually confess to the girls, but I just don't see that happening).
