I don't think that gender should matter. Defense attorneys have clients that are accused of all sorts of horrible crimes.
Should female defense attorneys limit who they defend based on whether the crime was against a women? I doubt anyone would suggest that a male defense attorney should limit who they defend in the same gender based way.

That wasn't the avenue I was implying.....my comment meant that a female attorney was assigned for a brutal murder that took the life of another female.....
I wasn't talking about the comparison of male vs female....ppl really need to ask another poster if they are confused about a comment and not imply.....
I'm sure the lawyer that was assigned is good, I JUST thought it was interesting it was a female.....I have heard a lot of men retain female lawyers for a divorce , a tactic they use...... Might not help them but they do for strategy .
