There is a lot of wine grapes grown in all of Sonoma and nearby Napa County, but Petaluma land is mostly used for dairy farms, not a whole lot of grapes actually grown in Petaluma. And regarding Meth, well around here Lake County is more known for that. I would not say there is any more methamphetamine in Petaluma than any other Northern California town. It is a rather quiet artsy farmy community. Down town has one main street that most of the buildings are all early 1900s and the off streets are tree lined victorian homes. Truly a pretty town.

Ahh finaly something I can speak to. I seriously doubt that he is a methamphetamine user now or in the past. Although meth psychosis exists it does not create the organized delusions such as thinking that a dead beauty pagent queen and himself had or have a relationship.

Short answer is yes.

Long answer is that meth does a swiss cheese type thing on your brain. In brain scans on people with prolonged use of meth, there are literally holes of 'dead' tissue. Brain cells do not regenerate, so basically when one section goes dead one of two things can happen. Either you brain will 'remap' and come up with a way for you to continue on as before, or it loses the ability totally. The brain isn't totally understood yet, so the 'remapping' it's self could or could not be effectual. It could actually cause MORE problems then just dying totally.

All sorts of dementia come from prolonged Meth use. From forgetting to actually making you believe your 'dreams' are true. If this guy has been using meth for ten years, there is no telling what he might believe about himself and the world.

Even with what I said in my above post. I don't think he was a prolonged Meth user. To get the the degree of dementia it would take to get you to actually believe for real you did something you didn't do while NOT on the drug, your body would be in much worse shape then his appears to be in.

You're probably right. I am just trying to reconcile in my mind how he can make the statements he has made, when it is clearly not what happened in Boulder CO on Christmas night. (He also appeared to me to be drugged up in the pressy. He could have been suffering from sleep deprivation, also.)

Oh my lord, my mother in law were cracking up at his pants, I told her if they got any higher he would hang himself with them. She thought it was shackles until we got a close up and it was his pants alright, big nerdy weirdo!

yeah, if he was on meth, the teeth might be in bad shape. one of the first to go after a couple of months and his face wouldn't be so young looking.

Thanks for the laugh.From now on I can only see Karr as Harry High pants! But in all seroiusnessss he does seem to be very thin and unhealthy looking.Do not believe he is a drug addict but may have a serious illness. Although living in thailand and eating Thai food for months on end would definetly give me the poops so may be he is just suffering from lack of nutrition.I think I have been on this forum too much today!

Sonoma County Sheriff's Department investigators went to Karr's home at 2004 Chetwood Ave. in Petaluma on April 3, 2001 to seize his computer. Karr, 41, was charged with five misdemeanor counts of possession of child . He disappeared before his trial was scheduled to begin in January 2002.

And they also went to his other house on Addison. He was in the process of moving. I forget from which house to which house, but it's in one of the news links I read today about them finding the death certificate for Polly K.
