4 infants found dead when landlord cleaned out rental home - Sept 2025 - Ford City PA

  • #141
I still have questions and wonder if media will release more information about this case.

Known: 4 deceased infants were found. Autopsies are complete. There is 1 count of criminal homicide and 1 count of involuntary manslaughter. Yet, there are 4 counts each of concealing the death of a child and abuse of corpse.

Unknown: Medical examiner's full report on cause and manner of deaths.

Assumption based on criminal charges: 1 infant was born alive and murdered, 1 infant was born alive and "accidentally" killed, and the other 2 were stillborn or miscarried - or - the manner of death was undetermined.

I think the more scarier, yet, could be plausible (and speculative from my own rambling mind.) - abortion done at home, after pregnancy been going on for some time, but not long enough, that the poor baby could thrive on their own?

Also could be far fetched, but I personally know few cases from my close circle of family and friends, what about if she didn't even know being pregnant - until she started to deliver? just because you have previous pregnancies, doesn't make it any more obvious always.

She sounds like she lost all grips on reality. Survival mode. Clearly her mental health was impaired situationally by the mess in the house and getting evicted. No excuse for this, but also imagine being in such a state of mind that you kill 3 infants and pretend nothing happened. And be in such a state that you still didn't try to prevent further pregnancies from occurring.
Yes, it is baffling that she continued to get pregnant. I'd think after the first horrid incident she'd do anything to prevent another pregnancy. Apparently not. I don't get it.

I think it may be profound depression/overwhelm?

I'm even wondering if they were her own babies? Could they have been born to another female and she's lying, for whatever reason? It's such a bizarre story as it is, but could there be more to the story?
I bet they will DNA test each child in order to get a fuller story. IMO

Okay, now light is being shed. I agree - the parents likely helped hold her life together, and the loss of them (plus dealing with grief) sounds like it might have completely overwhelmed her.

Unless she's always been overwhelmed and the parents handled the other kids and household and she couldn't do it when they were gone.

Her Mom probably cooked and cleaned and helped with the kids. Her Dad might have helped her financially. And the father of the kids was not always incarcerated, if she was continually pregnant.

Maybe the loss of her parents added to her mental unwellness? Although I think the initial tragic baby incidents began before her parents. died?

Agree. DNA will confirm or rule out JM as the mother, and may also establish paternity. At a minimum, her husband's DNA will be available to confirm or rule him out.

Yes, that DNA will tell a story to help LE suss things out.

I wonder if all the recovered remains were female? She has 2 boys. Are the others all female?

I ask because I know of a woman to gave birth to 8 children. She have 6 of them up for adoption at birth. All 6 were boys. She kept the 2 girls, although she didn't raise them herself. Her family members did.

But she apparently said boys were too much trouble and found them new homes. In light of this sad case, I have to give her some credit for doing a much better job at making decisions.

Interesting, ‘out of wedlock’ sounds so archaic to me 😵‍💫

It does sound old-fashioned, but I'm wondering if it is an outdated way of saying the father is unknown. If married, the husband is the presumed father of the child (and legally responsible).

But, that's just a guess.

Hard to come up with any motive here until more info comes out I guess. I have a few questions floating.

Agree, and why even mention it at all? Would it have been a different charge if she'd been IN wedlock? The charge must have different wording if you're married, so wonder why even include it, either way.

I would think out of wedlock means exactly that, that the father is unknown. Poor babies... to think there is also, that do they get probably issued birth certificate? or will it be just the death certificate now?

Another thing.... is she still actually married?

I was also wondering, did her surviving children know, that their mom was hiding babies around the house? I also wonder about, that there is actually no mention about having any kind of smell around, or said about it...

Even smallest creature emit smell upon decomposition stages... So did she have them for years, without no one noticing at all?

just my weird ramblings.

Are they even the husbands' babies?
This is why I think they are dead.
They were not his.

My theory is she cannot cope without her parents and has little life management skills. I'm wondering if there are some cognitive issues as well as mental health issues. I am not a doctor nor qualified to make an assessment, but it's the only thing that would make this make sense, imo.

Or addiction.

I really don't understand these types of cases, there must be some sort of mental health illness. To have three pregnancies, and give birth, then kill the baby, and put it in a trash bag, but not throw out the evidence? Instead, she keeps them together and leaves the bag for someone else to find?

So strange.
Some women love and crave the bio/psycho/social aspects of being pregnant but have no interest in caring for a new life. I wonder if this is what happened here?? Sick, sad, fallen world :(
