33 miners in Chile are alive, but stuck for MONTHS!

The youngest miner, an 18 year old, is on his way up next! Waiting for him, then going to bed, with best wishes for the rest of them.

ETA: Wow. They are talking about how this kid does NOT like being in the dark. He does NOT like being in confined spaces. He has been concerned about the spirits of other deceased miners... Poor kid. Wishing him a safe and fast journey to the surface.

This has just been incredible to see. I remember when it was first reported - and I thought I cannot follow it - too heartbreaking to imagine that so many men will lose their lives trapped so far down with no viable way out. So happy at how wrong I was!!

It seems, to me anyway, that it's been a long time since we have witnessed such good news that is so emotionally overwhelming and joyous. I am praying for the rest of these men to be rescued effortlessly as the first ones. It really is wonderful to be witness to this and share in the joy and immense relief of their families. May their recovery be swift.............

I have been watching the coverage and want to say, best wishes to all of them and the rescuers. I'm just overjoyed and amazed. This is so incredible.
What a miracle!!

God Bless them all.

Goz

I've been watching from the beginning. I've also cried from the beginning. I'm so thankful that they are able to rescue these men. Still praying that nothing goes wrong. There are still 28 miners and 3 rescuers down there.

Currently....***Rescue Capsule Wheels Being Replaced***

I understand why the first two or so rescued were the healthier ones, but I do hope they get the diabetic guy and the one with hypertension up soon. There is one miner that is 63 years old, I believe. God be with these people until this thing is complete.

ETA: They just reported that the next 9 to be brought up are those with medical problems.

This reminds me of baby Jessica in 1987. I didn't realize that her story was in October also. Almost the same days. Interesting.

God Bless all the miners. Hope all make it out safe.

This is wonderful :) Happy Tears

Aren't they wonderful.....nothing like Happy Tears. God Bless these men, their families and to all in helping rescue them.

#6 is OUT!!! Osmon Araya just rescued. He had really bad dental problems and said he would never go back under again.

I wonder why they didn't make it a 2 man capsule...taller, not wider. I'm dreaming, I know. I'm so impatient with this...I just want them all out and know that they are all safe. This has been such an amazing thing to witness, but so very emotional.

Jose Ojeda is next to be rescued....

I tried to watch each one being rescued but fell asleep several times. I did see Mr. Gomez (the oldest miner, 63 years old) rescued this a.m. He's worked the mines since he was 12 years old and has black lung. I was doing okay until he dropped to his knees to pray.
These are some VERY strong men, young and old. I hope and pray that each and every one of them are rescued safely. Praying for the rescuers also.

As for myself...if I had been in such a confined space for such a long period of time, I believe I would have to sleep outside in the open for months after I was freed and as for getting in an ambulance....no way! I would walk! Just the thought of being in any confined space again would just freak me out for a very long time.
I am just so excited for these men and their families and I wish them all a lifetime of peace. I also think it's very cool that they sent Bibles to them while they were down there. It was so moving to see the one miner drop to his knees and give God the glory.

:woohoo:

I am just in AWE of everything related to this! In awe of the family and friends of these men...in awe of the men themselves and cannot...cannot! begin to comprehend what these months have been like for them. In awe of the medical care, ETC. that has been given to them in the last 2 months, the planning, etc. needed to tend to such cases...in awe of the crews that have drilled the hole, etc. Just amazing. I'm just mesmerized by the whole event and rescue.

11 out so far...I realize each one is so different and it's not over 'til it's over. I pray to God to keep them all safe and all 33 are reunited with their loved ones.

What a great day!

So exciting to wake up this morning and see 10 men have been rescued safely. What a miracle this is!!

I wish I didn't have to work so I could watch it all live. The IT people here won't let us watch live streaming video. Turds!! This is so amazing, I think an exception should be made!!

More prayers for all involved!!

#14 on the way up now!!!!
watching FOX news.........cable channel 15 here

That 18 year old was on the job for 5 days when the collapse happened. He said he will never do coaling again.

I agree! I am now watching miner #4 being rescued. It gives me the chills.
They just brought up the 14th miner and I am moved by each and every one of these guys. I have not been able to turn it off and this whole effort is uplifting (pun intended)
