33 miners in Chile are alive, but stuck for MONTHS!

Cnn has a countdown clock they got it down to about 12 min, and they play their favorite song as they go to break. No.14 Victor Zamora was a Bob Marley fan and one guy was an Elvis fan. Victor is the poet of the group and has been writing the entire time.

That first breath of fresh air must feel so good and then a shower would have to feel even better, a hot meal, hugging your kids and wife. I am so glad for these men and their families.

That 18 year old was on the job for 5 days when the collapse happened. He said he will never do coaling again.

A reporter said early in the rescue last night that this guy who was only on the job 5 days when this happened was promised by the president (of Chile) that he would be "taken care of". I guess that means financially, etc.
I hope the miners have good mental health intervention and that we are not hearing about suicides later on down the road.
I can't remember, were any of the miners killed in this incident (thinking about 'survivors guilt") or not?
This really is a miracle and I have watched some of the rescues as I clean the house this morning have all the TV's on to the rescue on CNN. My BFF's husband is a mining engineer. I wonder how much USA was involved and if we learned anything about mining safety and rescue from this? Hope so. I can;t imagine being in mining, I am claustrophobic and can barely even look at the pics of them down in that hole...{{shivers}}

#17 up and safe! He is a dad, grandpa and GREAT GRANDPA!!!!!
longer than usual, the video cable broke but no big deal.
3rd time he has been trapped in a mine...........older..........56 I think they said.

Well, well seems like some can just not help themselves on destroying a life. This is carp and not needed at this time. A woman scorned is never a good thing. This kind of reported news is unfair. This man has been in living hell and it has only just begun for him when it he makes it out. :banghead: I am not saying what he did is not wrong, it could have been done in private. The whole world does not need to be involved.

Ha anyone mentioned that this is like a rebirth? It's like being born, watching them come out. Amazing. And the president of Chile and his wife have been there the whole time, I assume without sleep! Wonderful to see how warm and affectionate they have been with these miners. I can hardly stop watching.
