I do not believe BK would enter any guilty plea prior to this case going to trial, even if the state pursues the death penalty, which I fully believe they will. BK is arrogant, and I believe he thinks he is smart enough to beat the charges against him. I think he will relish his time in the spotlight, and probably will even choose to testify in his own behalf, even if against the best advice of his attorneys. I believe I read that he spent time in his cell watching everything on tv about himself that he could find.

I fully believe we will have the BK Show when it comes to trial, and I hope and fully expect the state will cancel it in the end. JMO

But if he pled ‘Not Guilty,’ wouldn’t he have an equal chance to change it to ‘Guilty?’ It seems to me that ‘standing silent’ is likely to be done for emotional reasons.
This is definitely not emotional, it is completely strategic.

So a kind of protest/position because the defense doesn't have all the evidence from the prosecution yet, and feels they can't enter a plea yet?
Defense probably does have it. Some trials I’ve seen lately defense attorneys falsely claim state hasn’t given them everything. It starts a pattern of defense framing state as dishonest, playing tricks, violating defendants rights. They think it helps sway public opinion against state prior to jury selection and trial. Also might help with appeals if convicted.

No Kohberg family present?

Some so called experts are saying that the stand silent plea could mean the defense could be looking for a deal. I just don't see it. I don't believe that BK is gonna just go away. MOO

Is this how it is usually described? First Murder count doesn't say "stabbed," but we can assume it applies to all four?

Ct. 2 - Murder in the 1st degree - willfully, intentionally, and with malice aforethought murdered #MaddieMogen.

Ct. 3 - Murder in 1st degree - stabbed #KayleeGoncalves (Judge called her Kayla).

Ct 4 - Murder by stabbing Xana Kernodle - Judge has trouble pronouncing her name.

Ct. 5 - Murder by stabbing of Ethan Chapin.

Narc serial killer “silent treatment”
Drama & control, possibly a little revenge thrown in there. Don’t cha know he’s the smartest one in the room…

JMO
I have to say, "silent treatment" did pop into my mind. MOO. And whatever the reasons for this move, I'll only note that "silent treatment" (as popularly understood) is text-book manipulation tactic 101. MOO

This is exactly why I wonder if BF has been interviewed yet. The defense claimed she had exculpatory information, didn't they?
