MOO he is guilty so his defense is finding something wrong with the procedures of the prosecution.

The truth is, we simply don't know if he's allowed visitors. We do know that AT & Co. went to court to get some measure of input/control over what mail he gets, as in, mail addressed to BK is apparently diverted to his attorney's office and then somehow, they use their judgment about what he actually gets.

He does get video visits, is my understanding. Last time anyone checked, he had credit on his commissary account (there's some portal or app that allows people to see this or to donate to inmates - but I don't know what it's called - I know it's linked to the Latah County Jail webpage somewhere, possibly in a FAQ).

IOW, he's leading a fairly normal life for a grad student (long hours holed up alone, text-based relationships, lots of reading). The teaching part of grad life is often over after just 2 years. He probably isn't missing that, as it sounds like he didn't enjoy it. He can even take certain courses online at most jails (for free). He's basically living a similar life to what he had before - just with no control over where he eats, and...no social contact to speak of. Would love to know if he was chatty with his family or just hung out online most of the time.

And he doesn't get to do long night runs, or drive around in his car while having a stretch of insomnia.

IMO.

For alot of reasons I believe BK is allowed approved visitors, just like everyone else. He has not been convicted and his case is presently ongoing so the court as a say and can file motions in regard to his privileges.
If convicted and sentenced, then everything is up to the jail/Sheriff who is in charge of the jail and the court isn't involved unless the inmate hires an attorney for a specific issue.

Anne T would be filing motions left and right if the jail denied BK visits. The visits in that jail are non contact which would keep the visitors safe from a multiple murderer.

This is how I see it....2 Cents

He is in protective custody but other than that is being treated the same as other prisoners in the jail. The Latah County jail promotes using Zoom for visiting.

Judge denied permission to appeal to the Supreme Court. Judge said he remained confident that the grand jury acted correctly, and that the probable cause standard of proof is rooted in settled law.

Judge is allowing the courtroom’s own cameras to broadcast the hearings online. Friday marked the first Kohberger hearing that was livestreamed on Judge’s YouTube page.
I'm going to take a wild guess and say that once the overwhelming evidence is presented by the prosecution. They will rest easy knowing that at the very least he'll never enjoy another day as a free man.

It was Logsdon.

IMHO it seemed like he was reacting more than responding. I personally think he pulled 28 out because of BK's age rather than it being the number of years it would realistically take - especially since 28 years is not, imho, realistic.

And, to be honest, I had to re-watch the hearing, and segments of it, a few times because everything felt off. I do not believe that Logsdon or the defense were saying BK is guilty, or at least I didn't hear anything that indicated or implied that. IMHO he could have chosen his words more carefully, and I wouldn't dare try to guess what he was thinking, but I didn't get the impression he was admitting defeat.

If he's found not guilty then this case is over in 2 or so years.

So that only leaves 2 plausible options IMO
  1. It was subconscious. For it to go on 28 years BK has to be convicted and exhausted all death row appeals.
  2. He was exaggerating. But then why not "100 years" or a "1000 years"?

I lean towards #1. Because sometimes it's what you don't say....MOO. I mean...one quick glance at the Idaho Death Row roster shows that someone has been on there for 33 years. I'd guess that that wasn't far from the average.

From the outside, a pure novice, my opinion only....it looks like the defense's strategy is to create a million and one appealable issues to give BK the best chance of getting off of death row. MOO

I don't know. I guess I'm bored and looking too much into this lol.
