Macks disappeared from his Potomac home on May 13. According to Montgomery County Police, he may have been picked up by a landscaping crew working in the neighborhood.
The family spent months searching for Macks, and had nearly lost hope.
"After searching far and wide, the family of Macks had almost given up hope that they would ever be reunited and a 4-year old boy was distraught," Montgomery County Police said in a statement. "Though media outlets publicized the family's plight and a reward was offered, the silence was deafening to the languishing child and his family."
But all of that changed last week.
