That was one of my favourite photos of Tori. It came out so well on Tara, I love that the only colour is the blue eyes... so full of life and mischievousness Poor little baby cat, so angry still, so angry!

Error with reporter's article. This evidence was NOT allowed to be heard in court. Thankfully the other evidence was strong enough for a life sentence conviction for MR. I am grateful TLM was also handed a life sentence. May these two monsters never be able to walk amongst us again. JMO

Evidence in court revealed that Rafferty, 28, had a history of choking women during sex and 100s of images of child were found on a laptop in his home.

What I find disturbing is how TLM's brother and sister saw trouble; a life of neglect and abuse, drugs, alcohol and men coming and going from CM's and TLM's house. They saw CM as an unfit mother and no one did anything about it? CM lost her own biological children and 11 years later adopted TLM...WTH? It would be interesting to learn how CM lost her children. Were they taken away by CAS or did the bio father get custody of them? How was this allowed (TLM's adoption). And no one reported abuse or neglect? TLM's brother even questions that. TLM's sister knew CM and TLM were shooting up together :gasp: Something tells me there may be a book coming out eventually. I come to this conclusion based on the fact people close to TLM are talking...hmm. Sure wish CM would tell her story loud and clear as she said she would. Maybe it's too late for her. Anyone know what CM is doing these days? Is she still alive? I sure hope she is disgusted and paying for the horrific things she put TLM through. I believe in the poem "A Child Learns What They Live". :moo: Wonder when MR's family will come forward to reveal what happened in MR's life to make him the monster he is? It couldn't have been good. Again JMOO.

Now i have watched the video posted here...thanks..

It is hard to express..my feelings as I KNOW this complete story as I have followed since 2009! ..i am rockin robin who stayed rivoted to this trial and twittered it here....BUT still I am amazed at the show 16x9..Road to Murder and how Terri Lynn's family said in this show they WARNED authorities about Terri Lynn's abusive upbringing....a road to disaster>>> ...IMO this is becomes an even more unbeliveable story!

It makes me wonder ....WHY our beautful country/province could NOT prevent this...again IMO..an 8 year olds life is gone ...Victoria Strafford...I can only say i feel awful ..IMO ...I agree as a mom and person with a huge heart ...with what tori 's mom said " I do not care that Terri Lynn had a treatruless upbringing" ...her daughter is gone...and i am sick ..that somehow ..Our Beautiful Province of ont ...could NOT STOP this ....! from the bottom of my heart I wish I personally could have ran to WOODSTOCK and STopped this from HAPPENING!

I would love to know ...WHY the OPP never issued an AMBER ALERT! ..like the Mayor of Woodstock has mentoned in the show...all i can say at the shock of watching this whole story ..is i could never forgive ....like either Tori's mom and Dad! ....I hope /pray Terri Lynn and Micheal Rafferty ..ROT in prison forever ....and again IMO...STRONGLY ...I wish CANADA would have passed the TORI law..not writing this for discussion..just needed to state my own personally OPINION...i think you all know me...robynhood!...sorry had to write my own personal reaction to the above post( just watched it all) ...thnks for sharing the 16x9 Road to Murder...again.... robynhood!

At the time the disappearance did not meet the criteria for an Amber Alert. I think there needed to be a witness of the abduction or description of the vehicle. As a result of this case, that has now been changed.

-the description of a vehicle, which we did not have one
-description of the abductor, which we did not have one
-description of the child, which we did have.

At the time, we did not know she was abducted, she was just missing, all we had was a description of a missing child, which did not qualify for the Amber Alert.

The new criteria is: (3 must be required)

1. Law enforcement agency believes a child under the age of 18 has been abducted

2. Law enforcement agency believes the child is in danger

3. There is descriptive information about one or more of the following:
• child
• abductor
• vehicle

4. To believe an immediate broadcast alert will help in locating the child

Hi Rockin Robyn!:seeya: Nice to see you're still following Tori's case and wanting justice for this senseless crime. You're heart is definitely in the right place. Thankfully we now have Tori's law because of what happened to her and let's pray if another innocent child goes missing, that child will be found quickly and safely. More laws need to change and better sooner then later. It definitely is mind boggling trying to understand how CM got away with raising TLM the way she did. I assume she did a better job raising her other children but sadly they were not (for some sad reason) able to rescue TLM from the horrific life TLM had. I am not sympathizing with TLM being in jail as I feel this is exactly were she belongs for the evil things she's done to so many people, but as far as I'm concerned and MOO, CM planted that evil seed in TLM as a child. CM should IMHO also be held accountable for being a horrible mother. Parents can be charged with abuse and neglect, wonder if or why this didn't happen in CM/TLM case. :waitasec: This is why it is so important for people to pay close attention to others around them and report to LE when they see something is not right in a home or with a child. As the old saying goes, it takes a village to raise a child. JMHO.

Many thanks for the video flipflop. Now if someone could give us some insight into the other pig who initiated Tori's abduction. I believe even without TLM, MR would have eventually abducted a child, raped other women and murdering them on his own. I don't think we will ever get any background information from anyone who knew MR because I believe some people are still in denial thinking it was all TLM's doing, believing TLM is the liar and MR was just an innocent dupe. Besides he didn't seem to have any friends in his life to tell about his dark side. Creeps like him also have a way of hiding their true identity also. My gut tells me he has left a trail of many victims of rape, and pedophilia in his past. This is one sick, evil and demented . Glad he was caught, now locked up and as Chief of Police Ron Freeman said in the video about MR's appeal, it won't change anything, "He and she are both exactly where they deserve to be for the rest of their lives and personally, I quite frankly, hope they die in prison and quite frankly after that they can burn in hell because what they did to an eight year old innocent child is unforgivable".

I noticed in the video they showed a very small segment at 14:47, of TLM in a parka, presumably when she made her confession (Jan. 2010) about being the one who swung the hammer. I also noticed how she never made eye contact when admitting who used the hammer. I still believe MR was the one who killed Tori by strangulation, possibly by kicks or hammer also. I wonder why all of that video was never made public or used in court? Or was it? MR can appeal all he wants, he won't be getting out of prison. He earned his spot behind bars until his last breath and may he live a tortured life there. There is NO excuse for what these did. :moo:

I watched this news report video again where TLM explained why she confessed to being the one. Hmm.

My wishes and prayers to Tara to keep healing and remain clean. Great for her for being clean over a year now. Must be so hard after all she's been through. Such a beautiful young woman with her whole life ahead of herself. All the best. My heart goes out to her. I agree Nettie. Sounds like a few people/agencies were not doing their jobs. How scary is that?! Nettie TLM wasn't adopted through an adoption agency. Carol's stripper friend said she didn't want her baby when she was pregnant with TLM and Carol agreed to take the baby. Carol's husband at that time put his name on the birth certificate claiming to be the bio father so Carol and her stripper friend could avoid the legal process of adoption. Still the fact being, when CM's bio children reported CM as adopting TLM and being an unfit mother, no one checked into her own childrens' claims?! For Pete sakes these children grew up in "that" house with "that" woman. Also IIRC LE and CAS had been notified over many different concerns regarding TLM and CM. Possibly this was the reason for CM to pack up and leave and move around quite a bit; to keep CAS and LE off her trail. Maybe this comment is pretty harsh but it's MHO, pregnant stripper mom would have made a better choice attending an abortion clinic JMHO. So many peoples' lives would have been and one spared. CM destroyed an innocent child's life. I'm sure if a decent family had adopted TLM she would have turned out to be a decent, productive person. Truly sad.

Thanks for clearing that up. I wondered about that too, but I googled and came up with quite a few media articles that said CM adopted TLM. Either way, CAS failed miserably in this case.

Hallowe'en was last night...another celebration ..Missed for Tori here on earth..I am sure that Michael Rafferty's appeal will go " No where" just like the dam person...May he rot in Kingdton Penn where he certainly belongs as THat " Tori Law " never will come to Canada ..despite how hard so many of us have tried to help in Ontario in making that a reality!...(myself included...!) Not here to discuss Steve Harper's party's decision...freakin sad ..IMO..thank God that as far as I know there has not been very many Amber Alerts this summer...
