I could barely hear MTR during the police interrogation, as the sound on my computer just would not pick up everything. Could someone please clear this up for me. During the interrogation, did MTR try to implicate TM and RS? This has been gnawing away at me, as I am in disbelief that he would have the audacity to do this if that is what I heard.

Not that I care, but IMO MTR will have a very difficult time adjusting to prison life. He could not even take the taunting when he was incarcerated at the Elgin-Middlesex Detention Centre, so they had to move him to Chatham Jail. Don't think he'll get that type of privilege again. Somehow prisoners find a way, i.e. JD (cannibal).

Before my brother was released on parole in 1992, the last phase of his rehabilitation was served in a minimum security work camp in British Columbia, in Elbow Lake, BC

I visited him there a couple of times, was a big improvement in the many places I visited him over the years, it looked like a logging camp.

Pedophiles and sex offenders typically cannot be cured, but under the right circumstances and conditions, they can be re-assimilated into society. It happens all the time where rapists that don't commit murder are given shorter sentences and they're back on the street.

I don't profess to know Otto, but I just question if rapists and pedophiles are cut from the same cloth? Both are sexual offenders, I realize that.

It is just MOO, but I can understand how a rapist, with much professional help, may be rehabilitated and integrated back into society, but IMO, I don't think a pedophile can be.

I haven't researched the subject at all, but have heard so much about pedophila on tv from high profile cases in the USA.

I don't profess to know Otto, but I just question if rapists and pedophiles are cut from the same cloth? Both are sexual offenders, I realize that.

It is just MOO, but I can understand how a rapist, with much professional help, may be rehabilitated and integrated back into society, but IMO, I don't think a pedophile can be.

I haven't researched the subject at all, but have heard so much about pedophila on tv from high profile cases in the USA.

I do not, I believe they are just as sick, damaged and uncurable as pedophiles are.

No. I think a most rapists are caught before they kill. I really dont think that either can rehabilitate. JMO

In their case, NO, you are right about these two, but there are cases where rapists have "supposedly" been rehabilitated, did their time and are back in society. I don't agree with it though. Pedophiles, IMO, can never be rehabilitated.

Do we have proof of this. I have read that some think Pedo's and rapists can be rehabilitated....but I would like to see proof of this before I make a change to my thoughts on this. I have never read, or heard of anyone who has been successfully rehabilitated and returned to the streets of our society. We hear of many, once released, recommitt and end up back on the inside....as for the successful ones, IF there are any, we never hear about them. So we, as citizens, really have no way of saying if rehabilitation works.

allegedly assaulting two women over the weekend, a high-risk sex offender is back behind bars yet again.

MOO Rape and pedophilia can both be acts of violence, rape being with adults, pedophilia being with children. I see both being very similar, especially when thinking of PB, RW and MR.

As I recall, he was told that various people involved had already been called in and questioned and detained. I think he asked if Tara and Rodney had been questioned and was told 'yes'. Then he asked if they were being held and the answer was 'no', but TLM was questioned and was being held. Clearly, he was attempting to implicate Tara and Rodney.

I just want to say I'll never forget Victoria. It was a long vigil for justice for this little girl, but it was worth it in the end to know that those responsible for her death will spend the rest of their lives in jail. I wish it could have brought her back, that would have been the best. I think that Victoria's father, Rodney was right, I think that Victoria will change the face of the Canadian justice system forever. I don't know how or when, but I can feel it will happen.
