LA VILLA, Texas -- Authorities said six federal inmates who escaped a Texas jail on Tuesday night are considered "very dangerous and armed."
The men overpowered a guard and cut through at least four fences at the East Hidalgo Detention Center. The privately-run jail is in La Villa, about 20 miles north of the Mexican border.
