as I watch The Killing Season... I keep wondering how many more bodies are actually out there, that haven't been found.

My thoughts so far before watching part 3! (Haven't looked at spoilers yet:giggle
Either LISK is 1 killer who has changed MO's as he's evolved, tying in the three locations.
Or there are multiple killers using some of the same dumping ground.
IMHO he doesn't live near where he dumped the bodies BUT he may have friends, family, or his job allows him to drive by and look over his trophies.
I have to wonder if the reason he separated body parts and separated the mother from the child, he did this because the person can be
directly tied to the killer. As in a close friend or acquaintance. Those are the cases to research.
Also I feel there are MANY more dumping grounds yet to be found in the area.
Is it possible he lived a distance away that he could use a telescope to watch his areas?
It is possible he works on the water and he uses his job to monitor the locations from the water?
If the LISK is all one person, it must be found out why he changed his MO.
Did he loose a job that gave him ample amounts of Burlap at his disposal?
Why were some bodies cut into pieces while others weren't? Was it that he, at one time, lived within the same home of his family, (wife/children or parents) and couldn't risk getting caught? Was it necessary to cut the bodies up to dispose of them more easily?
Did something happen AFTER this to allow him to change his MO? Did he get a divorce, move out on his own or just care less about getting caught?
If all three scenes are the work of the same killer, then he's still evolving. He won't make the same mistakes twice.
These are the most important ones to solve to solve the rest: Maureen Brainard-Barnes (First of the Gilgo 4 to go missing)
Jane Doe #3 with baby and Shannon Gilbert.
The months of each of the three groups-
July 9, 2007, July 10, 2009, June 6, 2010, September 2, 2010 - All summer months. Is it possible the family of the SK was out of town during this time?
I think some are possibly still missing due to there being a break between the first one and the 2nd one. The last two were close together.
Maybe this spooked him? Someone saw him? He had to move dumping grounds.
Jessica Taylor went missing in July 2003. Found in Manorville with parts missing. What did the killer do with those body parts before he dumped them at
Gilgo Beach? Most of her body was found on July 26, 2003. Yet her other body parts and those of Jane Doe 6, didn't turn up until 2010 at a totally
different location. WAS he the same killer If not, then he had to be aware there WAS another serial killer (LISK) somehow, and threw the body parts there to divert from his killings and let LISK take the rap. IF there is more than one killer, they knew each other.
My next question is did they run the toddler's DNA through the database to search for familial DNA? Possibly he was the dad? Or related in some way? Or the dad has a record and can be hunted that way... then question about the LISK killings.
I think there was more of a reason that he killed the toddler than the child simply witnessed it. The baby Jane Doe was estimated between 16-24 months old.
That child wouldn't have been able to tell anyone what she saw or explain what he looked like. Plus, if he had picked up Jane Doe 3 and realized she had her
kid with her, then why didn't he just drive away and not risk it? IMHO the baby is a link. He wanted to get rid of that link. He could have let her go on the
side of the road. Why kill her? Unless she actually KNEW the person really well and could call his name. That's a reason to take her little life. If he was a stranger to her, she wouldn't have been able to identify him.
As for potential victims peaches and cherry, it is not a coincidence that they both had fruit tattoos on their left breast. Wonder if they had a pimp who
had them get tattoos to go with his pet names for them. Almost like it was a pimps calling card "These girls belong to me".
Shannon Gilbert I do feel was a victim of the killer. I think when he finally caught her he was too exhausted to do too much to her. I think he just choked her and left her. Maybe he had called her while at the first clients home and said he was coming to kill her. Just a thought. Did they ever find her phone and search the records of incoming and outgoing calls and texts?
Did she possibly have a second toss away phone for "business"? This is not uncommon and if she did in fact have a second phone, was it located?
He has a new dumping ground now and wouldn't be surprised if he's moved to another beachy type area that's secluded and he is killing all over again.
Wouldn't it be a good thing for there to be a specific department of the police force strictly to search areas and even employee dogs and horses to aid.
Let it be a paid position!! A well paid one too. They could be trained in how to handle a crime scene once they find a body. Be paired with dogs trained to find the deceased. I would be interested to see how many bodies are actually found and missing person's reports solved if this was implemented.
JMOO sorry for the long post... been working on it a few hours. I'm sure much of this has been discussed.
So far my profile of this killer is its a male in his late 40's, he's disorganized yet organized in some murders. He was possibly married with kids or in
a long term relationship. He works in some type of law enforcement or security guard or at least pretends to be. He's charming and patient. The thrill is
getting them to trust him. He is a loner even with his family. He keeps to himself and possibly the wife at least suspects he's cheating. Money is disappearing
and he has no good explanation for it. He may frequent strip clubs and the girls know him and trust him. He puts on a good game.
He's not bad looking either. Possibly served in military and had training in the medical field. He is probably divorced now. But earlier his wife may have been a
school teacher and went to visit family during the summer with the kids leaving him to feed his dark passenger. This man was a regular customer for these girls
and was probably always sweet and generous.
Since Jane Doe 3 hasn't been identified and she did have a child who was also murdered, I'm wondering if she may not have been a prostitute but here illegally.
Maybe the killer and her had a relationship of some type. She had a baby that she told him was his. They got into a fight and she threatened to tell his wife.

to deny her her baby to be buried with her. To punish her. JMOO He's satistic to say the least. I think he may have some type of medical training too. Depends on how the bodies were dismembered. Was it done meticulasly? Or messy?

if LI is its only case(not tied to A/C or FL),then i would imagine there is another "trophy collection", because GB4 killer likely snapped when his "garden" was discovered/disturbed

Rachel and Josh, I just want to congratulate you on making what I consider the best true crime docu series I've ever watched (and I believe I've watched them all).
Usually when I watch a true crime show my husband checks out either into his phone, a chore, or goes to another room to view a different program on another tv, however your series has grabbed his full attention. Not only is he vested in this series he also is choosing to engage in conversation about it instead of conversations about his work. You've given me a gift by inspiring him to actually engage with me in intelligent conversation.

In general if you have information, I have seen that it is better to call it in to LE and then let them decide rather than to discuss it.. Not to eliminate discussion but a credible tip needs to be checked out by the pros rather than batted around. It could lose its oomph IYKWIM.

the Long Island case seems very tainted and has different implications on possible suspects. One interesting scenario brought to the fbi was that James b**k, ex high ranking cop in Suffolk and others engaged in sexual parties where they alledgedly could of possibly killed escorts. In which it is alledge that the cop slowed down investigations and the LI killings possibly had some powerful people possibly connected to these ritual parties?
