The pictures attached to this post are photographs of Juan Corona victims.
Juan Corona was a Mexican American serial killer active in the early 70s. He targeted middle aged and elderly migrant workers from ages of 42 to 68. Corona would lure his victims with the promises of work. After raping them, most of his victims were killed with a machete, though at least one was shot. After their murders, Corona would bury the corpses in peach orchards. Corona is estimated to have killed at least 25 men, but the real number could be higher than that. 4 of the discovered victims remain unidentified to this day.
His killing spree was eventually uncovered when a worker discovered one of the graves. When more bodies were uncovered, they were tied to Corona when some receipts and bank deposits baring his name were found in the graves. Furthermore, there were reports of victims being last seen riding in his pickup truck.
Corona had two trials in 1973 and 1982. Both found him guilty and sentenced him to life in prison. Early in his incarceration, Corona was stabbed by another inmate, whom he had a sexual relationship with. That attack cost him his sight in his left eye. He passed away in 2019 at the age of 85, in a sensitive needs ward after a long battle with dementia.
Something that should be noted, most of the victims either had broken ties with their families or no family at all. Not one was reported missing by anyone in their lives. Thus no search efforts ever took place for the victims until the mass graves were discovered incidentally. With one victim, the first picture in the top row, his living siblings didn't even bother claiming his body after the killings were uncovered.
