A Very Visual SA Closing Argument?

I think. LDB should repeat her opening statement in past tense
along with a slide show.
Perhaps at the end show the tattoo and ask so... in the jury's opinion is this your idea of a beautiful life? if so vote not guilty.

of course this won't happen!

Good grief! I had no idea that gasoline sniffing was such a widespread problem. We all know there were gas cans in the trunk (one of them with a sloppily applied piece of duct tape over the opening). What I'm still trying to figure out is if any other inhalant could have degraded into a chloroform component?

cecybeans, I'm not following you here. Starter fluid acts as ether and comes in an aerosol can as I understand it. What does this have to do with gas and gas cans in the trunk?

Also, the gas can in the trunk didn't get the piece of duct tape on it until after it was returned (empty) with no cap on it. It was GA that put the tape on it before he placed it back in the shed.

I'm hoping it is something on those Home Depot videos. I still can't get over why the state would have two of them in mid and late May, well before Caylee died. If she is seen on them buying anything incriminating that points to chloroform ingredients or any kind of inhalant, then that would point to premeditation and Murder One, which the state's case has been a bit weak on, other than the google searches. The other two tapes are from late June and early July, so I can't think what use they'd be as Caylee would have already been taped and bagged.

The tattoo itself is certainly interesting, but even before the absurd OS by the defense, the state had to know it could be part of some idiot "ugly coping" theory and is not really inculpatory in the way that the forensic evidence has been. I like your theory on tying up loose ends in a visual way and making sure the jury has a tangible memory of the life of the victim, particularly showing, like the duct tape one, how she started out an adorable little toddler with her whole life in front of her and was degraded and defiled in death in the most disrespectful way that could only be seen as a homicide by any rational person.

Re my bold--GA and CA have done their disgusting best to neutralize ICA's Bella Vita tattoo. They both got tattoos and displayed and discussed them in the media to prove that tattoos are merely their family's lovely, traditional way of memorializing a loved one. :puke:

Reality and recall are eroding the golden martyr's halo I put over CA's head as she wept on the stand.

That is the exact point I'm trying to make and hoping or thinking the SA may end with some of those adorable videos of her singing "Don't take my sunshine away." And, "you tired Papa?"
All the while ICA was shaking it up. :rocker: She gets over things very quickly. Loses her daughter and is able to go and eat, then watch horror movies less than 6 hrs. later?

I'm guessing that's exactly what they'll end with....they'll introduce to the jury the little girl they're there to bring justice for!

Are you thinking of laughing gas? That IIRC is ether. Gasoline would kill you if sniffed in that way. The fumes alone will do it and it's very dangerous to transport in your car so you must be careful. The only times I can recall where someone inhaled or ingested it intentionally were to commit suicide. Nasty way to go. My niece had a gas can in her trunk that sent fumes into the car and made my daughter extremely sick and had an awful headache. Thankfully my daughter had the good sense to roll down the windows.

I do think they must be saving some of the photobucket photos and icons etc for the closing argument, don't you? Because they haven't shown all those yet, have they? Since they seem to put so much stock in those and the 'party pics", I could picture them showing some morbid photos and icons and party pics, juxtaposed with things like that last sweet video of Caylee. And probably revisit the timeline they laid out.

(Snipped for length)

That's my point in this thread. Caylee is laying there in the cold dark woods and she was out at Hot body contests.
All these tears for the jury this week, show the video of her an TL walking arm in arm through blockbuster, only hrs.after her daughter drowned? :banghead:[/quote]

Videos of her shopping with stolen money buying beer, bras, sunglasses, etc. Playing the perfect gf to TL who didn't want girl children. Beautiful life indeed!

p.s. if Casey ever had any inhalants, I would think it would have been for recreational purposes, something she'd learned recently maybe, and would explain a lot about the vacant expression and voice she had by mid-July. I truly don't believe if she'd ever wanted to murder Caylee that she would have had any need to go to such complications as chloroform or any other concoction, though. Or even duct tape. Caylee was only 2. If Casey had murdered Caylee with duct tape, I feel sure she would have removed the tape before disposing of her body. (And would have disposed of her body in a different location in either case.)

I posted before that I'd love to see a timeline of those 31 days showing Casey on one side, where she was, what she was doing, where she was lying and saying she was (Jacksonville, Fusion, Tony's apartment, tattoo parlor, shopping at Target, JCP etc) along side a photo showing where the Prosecution believes Caylee's body/remains were at each point. That would certainly bring home the 31 days and show Casey for exactly what she is.

I thought that they were going to do this with the whole trial but it would make such a huge impact if they did a timeline slideshow like this! That would be an amazing closing argument and I wonder how many of us would be bawling by the end of it!

It would have been awesome if one of the awesome and talented "bloggers" that have put slide shows together and pictures of Caylee to music, etc could have put one together like that!

It would have been an extra special kind of cool since ICA, JB and CM can't stand bloggers on the World Wide Web - Lots Of Luck!

I just find it interesting at how fast this case is going! Looking back on a couple death penalty cases:

OJ? Trial began on January 25, 1995, and ended at 10 am on 3 October 1995 (can U believe it?) Per WIKI.

Peterson: The trial, the People of the State of California v. Scott Peterson, began in June 2004, and ended on March 16, 2005, Judge Alfred A. Delucchi formally sentenced Peterson to death.

David Westerfield: went on trial on June 4, 2002, and In January 2003, a California judge sentenced David Westerfield to be executed.

We're only on day 14 (?) and we're looking at the State resting. It's quite possible this entire case can be wrapped up in less than 60 days - for a death penalty case!

I realize both sides have had 3 years to pull this alltogether, but the speed in which this is going has me floored. I never ever expected it.

Thanks for letting me vent. I can only hope the SA brings out some really big guns to throw the DA's theory straight into the bin. They've done a great job thus far!

MOO - please and thanks.

It just seems like the Pros is closing to soon. It seems that there are still people that they need to call as witnesses but haven't. Why not call Jesse Grund so he can talk about why Casey broke off their engagement. Call the girl that buried animals with Casey in the woods where Caylee was found. Lee to bring up the molestation. It doesn't seem like George and Cindy were questioned but just a few minutes. I'm sure the defense will call them and then the Pros will get to question them again. I just hope and pray that they jurors have a lot of common sense. I hope they are really listening. It's scary because we have been on this case for 3 years and know a lot about it but the jurors are only learning about what kind of person Casey is and all of the things that she has done. It shall be interesting to hear what B.S Biaz has to say. <modsnip>

I posted this on the sidebar thread today and quoted you regarding dates and times of the Home Depot video from a post you made on 6/6....

here are the arriving flights @ the Orlando International Airport and the cities they come from

http://www.arrowcast.net/fids/mco/fids.asp?sort=@schedule&sortorder=asc&city=&number=&airline=&adi=

Cities departed from and arriving Orlando from 11:30 am – 12:05 pm on 6/13/11 include: Milwaukee, Baltimore, Atlanta, Nassau, Akron-Canton, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Kansas City, Nashville, Birmingham, Chicago-MDW, Panama City FL, Boston, Montreal, St. Louis, Cleveland, Hartford

The Home Depot Corporate offices are in Atlanta! However, I have been cautioned that Altanta is a major hub and could be from a connecting flight somewhere else.....just thought this might help yours (and my hope) that the final witness has the locking piece to the puzzle (ie: purchase of acetone from Home Depot on video, etc).

ETA - the witness arrives around 11:30 tomorrow and in my experience major Airlines usually keep the same schedule for the weekdays and times....not always.

BBM. Why would they need corporate to come in rather than just the local manager of the specific Home Depot that ICA went to? The botanist has not testified yet, so I would imagine he will be one of the witnesses flying in.

I'm not aware of a Sally Beauty Supply. video in evidence. There's a Home Depo video but she might not be on it... It might be her dad...
