a view from the inside: observations from our own court observers #3

Will JM bring up that Tesoro isn't open for anything, but gas at that time?

I'm not a court observer, but I'll try. How about Lyndsey Lohan for Jodi, Ryan Gosling. as Travis, the ghost of death from Family Guy as the jury, Blythe Danner as judge Sherry, Freddie Prinz Jr. as JM, John Goodman for Kurt Nurmi, an actual slug for Gus Searcy, Mae Whitman for Mimi and that's all I got for now.

Good choices!

I originally thought of Kaylee Cuoco for JA, but she seems too nice. LL could pull it off without trying. JMO

Now that you mention it, Steely... Maybe LL and JA are actually the same person...

I have never seen them together at the same time...,kind of like Clark Kent and Superman...KWIM?...(Except in a darker way... Of course!)

PASA "I remember the child's name, his escapes me. The two kids who were kidnapped and the little boy murdered. He should suffer like that poor child did, or worse. "

It was an all out terror here when those two went missing. All of us, it seemed, looked for those kids everywhere. It was on everybody's lips and minds. Trouble's sleeping, depression and anxiety was all over up here. Yes, the boy was murdered. They just found the girl and him in a Denny's just sitting here. Thank goodness a waitress remembered the girl's pic and they stalled and stalled until the cops got there. Sick situation. Horrible!

"I'm not familiar with Randy Butler."
Randy Butler ran a huge white supremacy group here called the Aryan Knights. They had a large compound and were literally threatening people on a daily basis. The gun pile and ammo they had rivaled the Branch Divadians (sp). Anyway, he had run a Mother and Son off the road and tried to kill them. The Southern Poverty Law Center became involved, Morris, I believe and away they went with the criminal and civil case. It was amazing! I actually met the Mother and Son as they came into our victim advocate's office and needed some support. Talked with them for several hours. They have become a symbol for strength and standing up to terror. The compound was shut down, sold for the civil suit, but, he has found new land, or his son has, and we continue to watch...

My fantasy cast for the movie would be:
ja-Roselyn Sanchez
Travis-Chris Pine or Chris O'Donnell
Detective Flores-Jimmy Smits
Juan Martinez-Al Pacino during the time he did "And Justice For All".
Nurmi-John Candy (I know he's deceased, but he would have been perfect MOO)
Wilmott-Sherri Oteri
Judge Stephens-Nicole Kidman
Dr. Horn-Rob Lowe

If Matt looks like I think he might Jared Leto could be a contender. :)

Having some fun during trial down-time. :)
God choices, too!

I must go with Al Pacino for JM... No matter which other stars are in the line-up!

Arias mystery: Who was in the car with Gus Searcy? - YouTube

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

It's not just that he can't get a lawyer, but how clueless he is about how the law works.

Does anyone think he'll be called back? I gotta hand it to the court observers here. I would feel so slimy and creeped out if this guy was within a mile of me.
smiley-scared002.gif

That reminds me. Two retired ladies I met some time back (at the courthouse) were there the day Gus was called in. One told me she saw him going back and forth trying to decide which elevator to take as he was leaving. He had a grin on his face the entire time. She was laughing as she was telling me the story.
Just one of those oddball things you hear in the hall. :)

Me too! Once in awhile I will go back and look at charts and postings on cases that are still unresolved, like the McStays or Kyron Horman. Even though the forums are locked for posting they are still accessible to read.

I sure do miss the talented posters there. There is still a lot of good information to read.

I'm trying to find the Facebook page you are referencing...can you please post a link? Thanks!

Not sure if anybody has posted the link yet, sorry so late, but here it is: https://www.facebook.com/Justice4Travis

23, 909 likes! Growing everyday. It's amazing to see how much it grows when Mr. Martinez is ripping a new one!

We also started a support page for Mr. Martinez. Every time I post there I brag that I'm number 8. :) Here's the link to that page:

*please keep posts limited to questions for the observers and their notes from the courtroom*

:bump:

Please peeps, can we abide by the above. Now I'm going to have to go back through the thread for today, which has gone waaayyy off topic and move many posts over to the Interim discussion regarding questions from the jury and Arias on the stand #81 thread. So if you can't find your posts from today on this thread, please go to

We had a good couple of days in the courtroom, didn't we? The hall and happy hour was good too. :)

We sure did PASA! I enjoyed my time with you immensely, and happy hour... was well, happy (under the circumstances).

I was pretty affected by the trial being there in person- more than I ever would have imagined. I can't believe I lost my notebook- thank god there were so many of us there on Monday.

I go back now to look at the footage of those two days and remember significant details. I am seriously thinking of coming back for the verdict (or near there) only flying in and staying downtown (maybe the Palomar)!

Sorry. :) I will pay more attention to my posts.

I know I'm obsessed with this but a reminder that JANINE DRIVER will be meeting me in court on Wed and sitting with me in the first or second row of the family section. I've checked it out with the family who are welcoming her to sit with them/us. I want to find her the best seat to watch all of the jurors. I've rearranged my schedule to go for the entire day now. She has to fly back on a red eye that night, but thinks she will have time to meet after to discuss her impressions. I'm giving her a free copy of Anita Richman's jury list. ;)

I keep writing it because I'm still pinching myself this dream come true is really happening! I've been following her since long before this trial. She also had some really amazing observations re: Andrea Sneiderman. I find her perceptions fascinating (as I do Lillian Glass as well who's blog I need to start following--she read JA's mom /family here: http://drlillianglassbodylanguageblog.wordpress.com/ )

I leave today for LA but will check in while I'm there. And will see you all from the courtroom on Wednesday! :seeya:

A discussion with her must be fascinating and exhausting. She speaks / covers ground so freaking fast it's hard to keep up with her on TV.

Plus in person you must say to yourself the whole time stuff like, "Oh crap! When I flicked my eyes because I thought I saw a gnat did that signal something to her?" :nerves:

I have been lurking along with others for a while and think this is probably the most insightful web spot concerning this case I have found. Mesa and Katie I not only enjoy reading your court room insider updates and posts but they give me and others a view beyond the live stream which gives a more complete perspective of the case then any of the talking heads.

JA is probably one of the most frustrating yet fascinating sociopathic personalities out there and I highly suspect there is a lot more going on inside that head then anyone of us is aware of. IMO she ranks equally if not on par with Ted Bundy and a few others famous serial killers in regards to her behavior and thinking process. I suspect JA has no real idea of "who" she actually is and I find it interesting that she has no real female friends at all, just men. I know in my own experience I have known one particular female at one time or another in my life I just felt something was very off about them. The kind you just could not form any type of connection with who seemed so superficial and fake. That one woman that you knew you could not trust around your husband or BF and not because you did not trust them so much but the fact you knew you could not trust her.

If you watch her closely on the stand her eyes and her mouth speak differently. Try covering up on section of her face and focus on that alone such as her mouth area, and vice versa and see what you observe.

She went from religion to religion testing the waters based on what the person she was interested in was interested in and morphs herself into what she feels with get her foot into a door, and oddly it works because she is able to take what ever she is currently interested in and digest the information and appear well versed in it. Based on her performances on the stand she thinks she is an expert in everything. I am not really amazed at how she is able to manipulate so many men in this case either because I am sure if you sat them down and got to know their life history you would find that none of them actually have good self esteem deep inside for what ever reason. Men hide their insecurities differently then women do and she like any predator who lacks in real emotions is able to pick up on signals normal people might not in her "victims".

IMO Travis was actually a victim of DV, Jodi has twisted his story for her own needs is all. No woman that was abused that I have ever known, to include myself, behaves like she is. Her claims of abuse disgust me and all she did was educate and morph her story to the point she actually believes she is a victim of abuse. Then to make it even better you have the few people she is able to manipulate currently feeding into her story which adds to her victim role. That's what even sicker. She believes herself and has convinced herself and no one will ever tell her otherwise. Ted Bundy claimed his innocence as well, he was a lost soul just as JA is.

Thank you all for your insightful postings and keeping others like myself informed a bit better then the media! BTW Matt McCartney screwed himself in all this because he was stupid enough to post on a website that he would lie for Jodi, etc.....Not a really bright thing to do....loose lips sink ships as they say....

Hopping off my fence post now and Juan is probably the worst thing that ever happened to JA!:seeya:

My ex daughter in law has never had any "real" friends that are female..They figured her out pretty quick. I've seen her talk over her new husband (of two weeks) when he was on the phone with his boss and say into the phone that he, the boss, wanted her, and I knew he'd be the next one she used. I know I shouldn't of been shocked, but I was. She never changes, she is always right and everyone else is stupid.

She was abusive to my son (abused, neglected and sexual abuse to my grandchildren) and her next two husbands and children, would slap them in the face in front of people if they crossed her. She will never change, she just moves on to the next man who she convinces that he has to "save" her. She won't stop talking and they give up and give in to shut her up. I see this in Jodi.

The men just want her to go the hell away, but she doesn't, she has that hook of a child that she got pregnant with to seal the deal and keep her in their lives for ever. She is the one that has to end things, won't let anyone else or she puts them they hell and back.

I understand Travis's remark of your evil and the worse thing to ever have in his life. I see Travis as the victim of abuse. I wonder what Jodi did or said that made Travis afraid of her for him to tell friends that he might end up dead one day.
