If Beth is going to air the issue, you can be sure she won't do it until she has it 100% verified. It's not that I don't believe our wonderful Katie, it's just that there has to be corroboration. Beth's no tabloid journalist like so many we know. She's an ethical attorney first, always.

Once it passes HLN legal, I would expect it to be a "BOMBSHELL" on Monday or soon thereafter. I'm sure that they are hunting through all the footage at HLN/CNN/InSession as well. A picture is worth 1000 words!

I'm so glad "our" lovely KKL was there as a solid witness to this disgusting event. I also wonder if ALV realized that the seated woman she hovered over and whose space she invaded is LE? BIG MISTAKE!

I think so too...I've been asked over and over "did anyone else see it?" Yes, Sam herself and she went straight to Martinez and reported it. I wonder if that little court after meeting is on the record.

I am still so enraged by ALV's approaching Samantha. Someone has got to take this story and run with it. She has the Gaul to say anything, to approach any member of the real victim's family, KNOWINGLY, that it is unacceptable! After destroying her brother on the stand by claiming he was not the victim and JA is, but yet stopping court early, purposely to evoke ANY type of emotion from the family is indeed ABUSE! Ms "expert" on any type of emotional, psychological or physical abuse, is well aware that Travis' family has been repeatedly abused daily by listening to this drivel. And, even if it was a flattering comment to Samantha, or an apology ( i doubt it) ..it was still blatant and purposeful to intimidate this family. She KNOWS what she did is wrong, and someone should stop and fine her for this. The jury, again..will never know, but we and more importantly the court should react, for the victim and his family. Totally unacceptable!

Andrea Sneiderman was tossed from not just the courtroom but courthouse after stepping in to the aisle and accosting a witness (hugging and kissing her) after her testimony.

Can you only imagine the foul Nurmi and ALV would have cried if one so the Alexander family had approached HER in the middle of her testimony? For any reason??? She's a fraud.

There is a man sitting next to ja's mother. I am told by one of the regular attendees he is the brother to ja's mother. I can't confirm it, just passing along what I was told.

Going through text messages from Travis. When "going on to the next dick" was read there were snickers in the gallery. D shakes her head. It's obvious the gallery is team Travis and D is team ja.

I write "keep reading ALV, the prosecution will love this". She continues to read the texts about how ja was a pure , etc. All true from the testimony I've heard in the courtroom.

D's hair needs some attention- keepin' it real.
I see a woman in the back row texting, whaaa??? If she is member of public she could get removed or banned.

There is an odor around me, and it's not good. I wonder if D's aroma could float back 3 rows? More on what it was later.

Another sidebar- I look over to media side and see Bill, Dr. Drew's producer. He smiles and waves at me. He's a sweetheart.
Troy Hayden (local media) leaves, lady next to me says "yum". LOL!

Tri-color is sitting in the next row up and 4 seats over from my seat. I have a good visual on her but don't look at her often. I want to give her space, she's not on the jury any more.

Judge sounds irritated when ALV said she wasn't reading. The judge told her she saw her reading and not to do it. ALV acts like a bratty child trying to push her boundaries with the judge. Don't mistake the judges mild demeanor for weakness ALV, you'll be sorry.

GW leaves for potty break during a side bar. The side bar went on for so long GW was able to make it back before testimony resumed.

ALV should not be testifying about Travis. She did not KNOW him!! More blaming the victim! (my note verbatim)

Abused children grow into abusers. Nice to know, arrest me now, apparently I'm an abuser according to ALV.

Missing Mike the court reporter. He always makes the day more interesting with his bright shirts and facial expressions.

ALV looks towards jury but I can't tell if she's looking at anyone in particular, hard to see this far back. Maybe it's Trump, Housewife, and Grandpa? They are in that vicinity.
Neil and Wrestler sit behind them so maybe it's one of them??

Wrestler chews on his pen as ALV drones on about ja's journal. Paul Rudd has his fingers on temple (headache?).
Tri-color taking notes and watching proceedings from gallery. Glad she is back in courtroom.
Juan and Esteben are taking notes. CPA swivels in his chair as ALV testi-lies about ja's trip to Ryan Burns.
Ponytail: naval intelligence, or getting comfortable. Yawns.

Ohhh, is that a chin-grab pose by ALV? Isn't she the assertive one. LOL! She's talking about the age difference between Travis and Lisa. Who cares? She wasn't a minor and he wasn't 50. Good lawd, they are scraping the bottom of the barrel with this testibaloney.

Sidebar- getting cough drop while the static fills the room. My unwrapping won't be heard.
We were told today that the wrappers make too much noise and no more candy allowed. I asked about cough drops, bailiff said they were ok. I suspect D is behind the latest complaint.
Tri-color has more blonde in her hair than before. It looks cute.
Glad she is exercising her right to be here. She can see the trial from the other side.

Aside from ALV's $300/hr fee I wonder if that includes her two weeks of accomodations/meals etc, or whether that is an additional expense. I have to say what troubled me most was viewing her 'snow white' video, I think at one point my mouth dropped open, because it became clear her whole 'talk' was loaded with comedy, and maybe it's me but I just don't see 'humor' as appropriate when someone is talking about DV.

I haven't been able to bring myself to watch it yet. It doesn't sound like it's worth my time.

I don't see anything funny about DV or abuse. If she does, then she hasn't been a victim/survivor.

One thing I noted in her testimony about her credentials was that's shed received lots of awards. When she was questioned from where her only response was the battered women's shelter she's worked for years. What was that? Employee of the Month? A bit weak.

Maybe she received "Best Dressed Award" :floorlaugh:

Please forgive me if I am heating up old hash but: I read on an earlier thread and elsewhere that the $250 research fee AVL collected was to "coach" Nurmi in how to cross JA. I believe it went a little further than that.. I see duplicate terminology between AVL and JA and like behaviors on the stand. I think they shared how to slow testimony down, how to attempt to throw Juan off his stride... and I'm sure you smarter WSers can think of more... remember both seemed to find our Juan talked in circles. Please excuse if old rant.

I think Juan talks in circles to bring the witness back around to what his question was. Since ja and ALV have a habit of going out into the woods with their answers.
The more ALV snarks at Juan the more she will be disliked by the public. MOO

Thank you for being a true advocate for Travis' family, KCL. God gave you a huge mission--and you are true to following it.

I'm praying that the whole atmosphere of the courtroom is going to change from its current irreverent one. It's a murder trial, and Travis' family is there every day. I think witnesses should take a moment and realize how disrespectful carrying on & laughing is. An expert should be answering questions by the Prosecutor respectfully. She is relaying an opinion, not starring in a comedy.

I think you are absolutely right about this witness being a control freak. She decides to give everyone a 15 minute break so she can socialize.

All of this just really upset me Friday and today. I just feel violated, and I have nothing to do with the trial. I feel that there is a power struggle going on, and witnesses are forgetting what this trial is about . JMO

I think the X factor here is ALV had no idea when she took the case how huge this trial would be. If not for the cameras and enormity of this trial her behavior would go unchecked. It probably already has in other cases. But now instant karma is biting her back.

Going off your narcissism comment earlier, i.e., that she fits the profile, I think this is the reason she might have agreed to do it.

Just two short weeks ago, AVL was a big fish in a medium pond. Now, tens of millions of people all over the world know her name. This trial is televised and I believe she had to know that it would be on par with the OJ trial and the CA trial in so far as infamy.

ALV describes herself as an "Expert Witness and Consultant" for this case (presumably) on her CV. It's listed as Phoenix Arizona 2011-13 so I am sure there's not another case she is involved in. ALV really tried to build up the self-defense story talking about how these threats from Travis getting closer and closer together hence giving JA a reason to be scared for her life. There's no doubt she fed that story to JA. It'll be interesting to know what books ALV sent JA in addition to the magazine.

Also, is it possible JA got to view the "Snow White" lecture video? Seems like she must have since she drew that sketch of Snow White with a black eye. Or maybe LaV gave JA her own personal presentation - that doesn't seem proper since LaV was supposed to be there to evaluate, not treat or conduct therapy of any kind. I think that some of the 40+ hours LaV spent with JA were spent "teaching" JA about DV so that JA could figure out what events she could make up or embellish to try to fit the DV profile. I can't see LaV spending most of the 40+ hours asking questions and listening- she likes to talk too much for that.

Since it is expected ... Even demanded ... That Travis's family, friends, colleagues and supporters suppress basic human emotion in the face of overwhelming shock, horror, grief, anger, despair, it is despictable this defense witness would approach one of the family members compromising their emotional safety and violating their rights as victims of violent crime.
