I am in awe of Juan Martinez. I've sat glued to his closing all day. I just looked down and realized I am wearing my one and only NAVY BLUE velour lounger. It was meant to be.

Sam's boyfriend is with her today.

Our generous benefactor who provided rooms for the Alexanders also got me a room at the Palomar and I'm making the best of it..Katie Wick , PASA and Dave Hughes, who didn't get in today are on their way over to watch together.

And our other BB put $100 on my room to use so I already got room service and lots of OJ to use with the champagne we got. Joilyn got in the public seating! WOW

Is your brother okay? I always think about him and how much he depends on you. Hope there is a verdict soon so you can get back to John.

I just got the mail and unfolded our town newspaper. There is an elephant on the cover. I feel like all of us watching and hoping and praying are getting signs -Travis and his family will have justice.

My wish for the last few months was for the last words that Juan speaks would ring through the courtroom: "YOU ARE THE WORST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO ME"....it was quoted once today with emotion and feeling - not exactly the last words of the day, but I am still hoping/wishing for that statement to ring out at least once more. More than anything else, to me, that was Travis speaking to us today.

BBM Juan still gets one more chance after Nurmi so that just might be what he ends with....hopefully the jury gets this tomorrow and can at least start the deliberation process. If I were a juror I'd at least want the chance to pick the foreman and have an initial vote.

I think Juan did a wonderful job today, not looking forward to having to hear Nurmi drone on tomorrow....the end is near RIP TA!

There are elephants everywhere - yesterday I was helping my clients with their new home and they have two beautiful carved elephants (large) with ivory tusks - isn't it funny how all these elephants keep appearing in our lives lately?

I have blasted HLN in the past for so many commercials so I feel necessary today for giving them credit with no commercials during the judge giving jury instrustion and uninterrupted Jaum closing arguments. Thank you HLN for that:scale::toast:

I concur . . . I have criticized and yelled at my screen when HLN takes multiple breaks, which is why I usually watch online if I am home, or youtube at night after work, but HATS OFF TO HLN today for the live programming with no commercials - I really and truly appreciated it! :seeya:

Yes there are elephants everywhere- I work in a hospital in the east coast and in the gift shop- all of a sudden there is elephant decor in the window. God Bless you all!

I'm very happy about this also -- imagine if Juan's closing was interruped for commercials -- too horrible to think about -- also, much sensitivity was shown by NOT showing the family when graphic photos were shown, This is a very CLASSY family and I'm glad that they were treated as such!

After Juan, I don't see how Nurmi would have that much to say where it would take all day. But then he had Jodi on stand for 18 days. I think he knows it is over. Now JW is another story. She clicks her heels, bouncing around and will repeat herself a thousand times. Isn't it sad....no one really wants to hear anything either of them has to say? It should be their finest hour and it is like a thud.....but looking forward, it should all be history a week from now.

I am concerned that Nurmi will drone on and on tomorrow. If that is the case and Juan doesn't have time to finish his close will they come back on Monday or will the judge cut Nurmi off so Juan will have time? How will that be handled. Anyone know? tia
