The father of my children who I was married to for 15 years passed away at the age of 54 in February after years of alcohol abuse. Absolutely heartbreaking to watch the years of struggling change him into someone I no longer recognized physically or otherwise.
I’m sorry about that my brother passed away in 2015 from overdosing

@Mama-dukes
They take some pills, slip into unconsciousness, and ultimately drown.

He had a lot of mental health concerns that went hand in hand with his addiction issues.

It’s very sad all the way around.

Does anyone know if it was an OD or suicide? I feel so sorry for his baby boy. This outcome is tragic after he had been trying to maintain sobriety to get his custody back. I'm 3 years sober and it makes me so grateful to have been able to beat the disease and come out unharmed. I've lost so many people around me, seen so many tragic cases, it all could have been me. I've got 4 kids and I'm so lucky to be here and have the ability to be their mother every day. I take nothing for granted. R. I. P.
Bless u and I pray for you 2 keep staying clern my brother passed away and his best friend and I know of more people its sad

So sorry you went through that. It's heartbreaking and you always hope they will stop using.

Unfortunately he had too many people around him who enabled his behavior.

This has been in the cards for about 3 years it feel likes. Anybody who said he had issues he would attack and block. He continually lied about being clean when it was clear he was off his face.

It’s tragic as Nick got clean & got the help he needed and both had a absolutely awful family life and both seem to have got molested by Lou Pearlman but he could never accept the help offered. Let’s hope he is finally at peace!

Thank you so much. It’s my kids, although they are in their 20’s, that I worry about most. It has been very hard on them.

I can’t imagine if they had been as young as Aaron’s. It’s such a tragedy.

It sounds like you are a lovely, caring mum, which is half the battle. I'm sure they will be ok. I know it put me off illicit substances and alcohol because of the mess that it left behind. Take care.

Sending my heart out to all of us who've lost loved ones to addiction/mental health. My fiancé lost his fight with addiction & mental illness 6 years ago. He died by intentional overdose. There just aren't words anyone can say to make it better, so I won't try. Just know you aren't alone.

It does appear Aaron had some serious mental health diagnoses which may have caused him to try to self medicate.

“The official diagnosis is that I suffer from multiple personality disorder, schizophrenia, acute anxiety and manic depression,” Carter, 31, says in a sneak peek video obtained by TMZ, before rattling off a variety of pills he takes. “I’m prescribed to Xanax, Seroquel, Gabapentin, Hydroxyzine, Trazodone, Omeprazen.”
The clip then pans to the “Pyro” singer holding up a Ziplock bag full of pill bottles. “This is my reality,” he says. “Hi. I have nothing to hide.”
