Tuesday Dec 9
+ A's hire a new attorney

Wednesday Dec 10
+ A's are in Los Angeles and appear on LKL (CNN)

Thursday Dec 11 - AM
+ A's are notified during their return to Orlando, that a small child's remains have been located in the area they sent their PI to investigate 3 weeks earlier

Thursday Dec 11 - PM
+ A's meet with ABC producers, their PIs and their attorneys

Can anyone rememberwhich day of the LA trip, the A's followed up the Caylee sighting in another CA town ? TIA

It must have been the the day before LKL or the same day as. CA speaks of it in the interview.

Thanks for responding RR0004. I read thru the LKL transcript and Cindy cites multiple sightings. She specifically mentions a new California citing that had occured 2 weeks prior to the interview. They met with those tipsters the night before LKL, if CA is being truthful.

But the tip I am looking for is one that was recieved in the Summer and the follow up on that tip was one of their reasons for going to Californina, again if CA was being truthful. She didn't mention the results of following up on the earlier tip. I'm just trying to pin down their activities the week before Caylee was found.

BTW - the lies in the LKL interview ? Unreal.

On Topic I don't have a problem with the A's staying at the Ritz on someone else's dime or having dinner either.

I don't care what they do, as long as KC pays for her "alleged" crime which IMHO is not alleged.

I don't see any reason to give them the benefit of the doubt. I may believe this scenario if it were anyone other than the Anthony's. Nothing they have done would make me "suppose" they were distraught and didn't eat, were being led around because they were to depressed to eat, etc. etc. You could "suppose a normal person would do this. But none of their behavior is "normal" to me. Their actions thus far tell the true nature of their emotions. I believe they were enjoying the attention, percs and need to be important. I just don't understand how so many think this was normal for them to behave in that way.
I agree.

How soon did they do that? Immediately? And did they come out and do that in media statements or at trial? I honestly don't know the answer to either question, but I would imagine both needed time to accept their children's guilt and their admissions were made to LE and probably after the trials. And didn't Jeffrey Dahmer's father still say he loved his son? I seem to remember him visiting him in jail, but I could be wrong.
Mark Hacking's father did do it immediately and both of them have made statements to that fact in the media, not just at their sentencing... You can still love your child and admit they are wrong! I don't buy this cover-for-them at any cost/unconditional love argument. My daughter commits a murder, I'm acting like Mr. Hacking!

From the article:Rooms go for about $300 a night at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel and sources say they Anthonys had dinner at Normans on Thursday night, where dinner could cost $100 a person.
Okay ChillyWilly, still think they were only eating chili rather than steak dinners with wine???

Let's face it, they didn't need to stay at the Ritz. Lee lived a few streets over, and they could have even brought their dogs. They felt "put out" and took full advantage of Michelle B's poor PR choice of having ABC put them up at the Ritz, as well as including Lee, Mallory, and DC, Jose to dinner at Morton's in the Ritz. Poor choice.
Bingo!:bang: This is what I have been saying for several posts.

Not only that, the Hacking family convinced him in the hospital to confess to police what he had done.

They also didn't tamper with evidence, lie to police, refuse to turn over requested evidence, turn over the wrong evidence, etc.

It's the timing of it, which goes to aiding and abetting Casey. Would you be doing those things the day you found out positively your granddaughter was dead???? I really wouldn't care if the A's went there for their anniversary or some other occasion, but living it up high on the hog the day you find out your granddaughter is dead is high inappropriate, IMO!

If I had just been delivered the news that my granddaughter's body was found, I wouldn't be lawyering up mid-flight, nor would I be enjoying steak dinners and staying in the best hotels money can buy!:snooty::snooty::snooty:

Wow, I think you need to step back for a minute. I understand the anger at the family....but this was a really distressful piece of news for them.

Going out and rubbing up against gals, tattooing and partying at clubs is criminal.

Being put up in a nice hotel to process the information that your daughter is a murderer and having dinner put in front of you is not.

I'm bumping my answer in response.

Frankly, I think the mods need to remove this thread as it has nothing to do with "Sleuthing" and everything to do with criticizing.

I'm trying to play nice here, but if the A's need money all they need to do is have a gigantic garage sale with all of the JUNK they have in each of those bedrooms and they could pay their mortgage for months without hand-outs or payments from the media.

No one sane could possibly be restful in those rooms. It is such a petty thing, but I genuinely feel very sorry for Caylee that she didn't have an environment that was less over-stimulating.

Buy less, spend less, sell more and make your own way in this world - especially now.

This is not playing nice, this is being very hyper-critical. This whole thread has gotten out of control.

It has everything to do with ABC paying for the defense of Casey Anthony and her families actions upon finding out the news of their grand-daughters death!

I don't understand the anger in your posts.

People have a difference of opinion...it's what makes life entertaining.

It does if you think this case includes a cover-up along with a murder. The demeanor of the participants is evidence.

Thank-you for stating that so eloquently!:clap::clap::clap::clap:

The fact is that ABC paid for the As' stay at the Ritz, and dinner for various family and hangers-on. The fact is that an ABC producer not only flew home with the As but that said producer also spent dinner with the As the very day that Caylee's remains were found. The fact is that it looks suspicious and certainly is not the norm for victims' families to have a producer with them or to have a huge group meal with people like PIs, lawyers, PR people after such a shocking announcement when anyone else would be curled up in a fetal position with the covers over their head in the dark. The fact is that there might be a money trail, and that there are questions about where the As are getting their money. All not very nice facts

Why didn't the Anthonys stay with family members?

Well, maybe they didn't want the press hassling their relatives? Maybe they wanted alone time to deal with this? Maybe their relatives didn't want them over?

I also don't see why some people have to accuse those who have a different opinion of being friends of the Anthonys. Is everyone supposed to hate them? Do we all have to agree with you or else there's something wrong with us or we have a hidden agenda? I totally agree with Chilly on most things that get posted. I also don't like to jump on the hatred bandwagon.

Finally, if Sharon Rocha had granted an interview and ABC had put her up at the Ritz, people would be saying, "She deserves it, she just lost her daughter and grandbaby."

Well, so did the Anthonys.

Since none of us were there, we can't speak to what their mindset was. So why be angry at them? They aren't even charged with anything. Why is hatred the preferred response over sympathy, or at least tolerance?
