I'm bumping my answer in response.

Either way, it seems like the good/beautiful life for the adults while the "beloved" baby rots in a garbage bag in a swamp so close to home.

My opinion only.

Why didn't the Anthonys stay with family members?

Well, maybe they didn't want the press hassling their relatives? Maybe they wanted alone time to deal with this? Maybe their relatives didn't want them over?

I also don't see why some people have to accuse those who have a different opinion of being friends of the Anthonys. Is everyone supposed to hate them? Do we all have to agree with you or else there's something wrong with us or we have a hidden agenda? I totally agree with Chilly on most things that get posted. I also don't like to jump on the hatred bandwagon.

Finally, if Sharon Rocha had granted an interview and ABC had put her up at the Ritz, people would be saying, "She deserves it, she just lost her daughter and grandbaby."

Well, so did the Anthonys.

Since none of us were there, we can't speak to what their mindset was. So why be angry at them? They aren't even charged with anything. Why is hatred the preferred response over sympathy, or at least tolerance?
Point is: Sharon Rocha did NOT stay at the Ritz Carlton or any hotel for that matter, paid by ABC or anybody else the day Laci and Conner's remains were found. For that matter, Lee& Jackie Peterson lost a grandchild too- but the Anthony's act far more like them- cover-up mode, so yes people don't like their actions!
Also, Lee couldn't have put them up?????

Mark Hacking's father did do it immediately and both of them have made statements to that fact in the media, not just at their sentencing... You can still love your child and admit they are wrong! I don't buy this cover-for-them at any cost/unconditional love argument. My daughter commits a murder, I'm acting like Mr. Hacking!

Careful what you put out there.

This is not playing nice, this is being very hyper-critical. This whole thread has gotten out of control.

Sometimes I can use objective criticism to help me slueth in a more logical way!

No, my opinion too...

It's the timing of it, which goes to aiding and abetting Casey. Would you be doing those things the day you found out positively your granddaughter was dead???? I really wouldn't care if the A's went there for their anniversary or some other occasion, but living it up high on the hog the day you find out your granddaughter is dead is high inappropriate, IMO!

I keep missing the part where they were living it up high on the hog.

(And I've never really understood that particular statement, but I basically get what it means.)

If I had just been confronted with the news that my grandchild was dead, and someone offered to put me up in a nice hotel where I could get away from the press, I'd take it too. I wouldn't go out and sleep on the street or something in a dramatic display of grief.

Why?????

If my daughter is a suspect or missing, I'll be the first one in line at the police station to take a Lie Detector test, and I won't lawyer up, and my brother is a lawyer!!!!!

They spent 3 nights at a $300/night hotel and dined at a restaurant where meals cost $100/person.

Do you know Lee's circumstances? Do you know for a fact that he could put them up or even wanted to?

And because Sharon Rocha didn't stay at a Ritz Carlton isn't my point. My point is that, if she had, hardly anyone would be criticizing her.

I still don't see how hatred of people you don't even know benefits Caylee or anyone else.

I just love posts that make people think/wonder/fear. Thank you for the wake up call, we all needed to worry about our OPINIONS.:woohoo:

How come the Hawaiian Inn was sufficient for George when he attempted to end his life?

Where meals CAN cost $100. You don't know that THEIRS did.

You don't know what their mindset was.

Of course Caylee's murder didn't benefit her either, but some of us hope justice will be served, no matter who's on the platter.

My opinion only

"Some of us" includes me as well. I think Casey's guilty, and I think she'll be found guilty.

With respect, I think you presume a lot in that statement. If anyone finds this upsetting one way or another, then I think it's better to step away from the comp for while rather than have it deteriorate into a slanging match among posters. Don't you?

I presume to not assume? What exactly am I presuming? I really think there's a lot of anger toward the Anthonys here.

I think the greater issue is that ABC paid for the stay. An ABC producer flew with them, and was with them for a meal the night of the day they learned about the remains.

I must have missed something. Where did someone say they "hated" the Anthonys ? Asking questions about demeanor is not hating. Obviously, if ABC paying for the stay was not an issue, there would not be a thread about it. I suggest that those who find this topic offensive and/or upsetting just move to another thread. There are lots and lots of interesting topics regarding this case and they may have some valuable ideas to add to those.

Personally, I would have preferred room service so that there never would be a reason for people to question this. Even if their benefactors led them to the dining room, wouldn't it have made more sense to keep things private?

I think the majority of people prefer to keep all these issues very private, which is why the public takes issue with the public appearance of the family at each turn of events. Personally I just want them all to go away so that this case can be about justice for Caylee.

um The Ritz Carlton is just a hotel and dinner does not cost $100 per person. I am an event planner for a large bank and I stay at the Ritz all the time.

I think many if you have large illusions of what a Ritz Carlton hotel is. It is a warm and normal hotel with medium priced food and nothing screams lets party.

I don't know that this thread is important at all. IMO

But I haven't seen people rallying against ABC. Mostly just the Anthonys.

Isn't it ABC's right to choose what they spend money on? Maybe they were trying to be nice, maybe they were trying to score the interview, maybe they knew it'd enrage people and make for more headlines and searches.
