The death of JonBenet was an accident. The head blow came first...Patsy hit her over the head in a fit of rage. You cannot "accidently" strangle someone.
If Burke is the killer, then my theory goes like this:
Burke and JonBenet were downstairs having a snack, she pineapple and he a glass of tea.
Burke went upstairs and started to play with his Nintendo64. He had the tv on with the volume low so as not to awaken his parents.
JonBenet followed Burke into his room and watched him play Super Mario 64. She got tired of watching him play and wanted a turn. Burke would have none of that. Burke was concentrating on the game which was hard to maneuver given that the N64 controller needed some getting used to.
JonBenet became impatient with Burke so she yanked the controller from him and ruined his game. This enraged Burke so much that he hit her over the head when she wouldn't let go of the controller. Another scenario could be that he strangled her with the controller wire. Anyone who has a N64 controller would be able to correspond the wounds on JonBenet with the controller itself.
Patsy hears JonBenet scream...goes downstairs and discovers her son standing over JonBenet. She then puts a plan into play.
