I agree with you.The attitudes demonstrated in his books are unkindness, sneeriness, and judgemental-ness.

I've seen it said that Walliams has been trying to become the new Roald Dahl, but that in some respects Dahl's own books are "of their time" and a bit "iffy" these days, eg in relation to fat kids, so maybe not to be emulated anyway.

The beeb have four days to fill that slot so if I were scheduling it would be pulled for sure.
They can always replace it with an Episode of “ Mrs Browns Boys “ as after 2025 I don’t think we have suffered enough to be honest.
