Also her daughter.
Thank you Rott Mom.
I was not aware until today that Carrie's daughter is an actress and public figure in her own right.
Also her daughter.
Flying for a long period of time could be dangerous. Because you don't move, blood clots can form in legs, then if they travel that could cause heart attack or stroke.
RIP Carrie.
I'm 10000% done with these shenanigans, 2016. [emoji31]
Rest In Peace, Carrie.

My heart is heavy tonight. She was not only our favourite princess and heroine but a talented, intelligent, witty and vibrant woman and mental health advocate.
Rest in peace, dear Carrie. You'll be sorely missed and fondly remembered, always.
Flying isn't unhealthy unless you have pre-existing conditions, a healthy person isn't going to develop blood clots from flying or sitting. She apparently had pre-existing conditions that have not been disclosed, or perhaps she was unaware of. Or certain medications or drugs. JMO, as a retired RN.
I am so deeply saddened by Carrie's premature death. My son is the one who introduced me to Star Wars, otherwise she wouldn't have meant as much to me as she did. God Bless her dear mother, Debbie Reynolds. I can only imagine her grief. And what a loss of such a great talent. RIP, Princess Leia. :tears:
You don't have to have a pre-existing condition to form a blood clot when flying. Clots form because you are not moving for long periods of time. If clots break off and travel they can cause heart attack or stoke. She was flying from London to US so a very long flight.
"Blood clots can sometimes form in your legs during air travel because you are immobile for long periods of time, often sitting in cramped spaces with little leg room. While commonly referred to as "economy class syndrome," the clinical term for this type of blood clot is deep vein thrombosis (DVT). The longer the flight, the more at risk you are for developing a clot. Flights lasting 8-10 hours or longer pose the greatest risk."

Oh, no. Poor woman. This probably warrants it's own thread but I just saw that Debbie Reynolds (Carrie's mom) has been rushed to the hospital with a possible stroke:
