mmmm, literal cookies...
Dear Websleuths Members,
After much long and hard deliberation, a decision has been made to implement the following, effective Tuesday, April 7, at 12:01 AM Eastern:
1. The "ad free" status will be removed from all Websleuths user accounts. If you paid for ad free at any time and would like a refund please email [email protected]
2. Your posts per page will be re-set to 25. You can change your settings to allow for up to 100 posts per page. Click on your "Settings" tab in the upper right-hand corner of your page, then click on "General "Settings" and change your posts per page up to as high as 100.
The WS staff would like to extend its appreciation for your patience and cooperation during this transition period. Please be assured that your concerns and suggestions were taken into consideration when reaching this decision. We hope that each of you will continue to enjoy your Websleuths membership, but if that is no longer an option for you, we understand and wish you well.
Sincerely,
Tricia Griffith
Owner/Websleuths.com
That's how I saw it too. Doesn't bother me one bit, few ads is a small price to pay for the awesomeness that is WS. The bills gotta be paid somehow. JMO
I do like the tufted sofa though but prefer a neutral color.![]()
25 is the default, but you can now manually reset your posts back to 100/page.I got the ads back, posts are centered in the middle (off and on) and my posts moved back from 100 to 25. Just wanted to let someone know.
Agree! And actually, having an ad within the threads isn't as intrusive as other options that have been floated.... just was a shock this am
:blowkiss: Tricia. So many benefit in so many ways through this site... above and beyond what websleuths stated purpose is. I've made so many connections over the years, bonds with others virtually that blossomed outside of websleuths (e.g. those on the Caylee thread, the Jodi thread), and have met folks in RL from here also.
There is a saying that Paul Sanders had on his facebook posts... durn if I can remember it right now... ok found it.... Every good relationship that has developed as a result of this trial is the manifestation of the Spirit of Travis Alexander.
^^^^ Many of us here feel a bond, and have developed online/rl relationships with OTHER posters and is the manifestation of the Spirit of those we have posted for on Websleuths Tricia!
:tyou:
and those that support and volunteer for you! Dave is doing a great job and kudos for him being soooooooooo responsive and understanding that if blurt out stuff.... he takes in stride and knows and understands we are reacting. A special :blowkiss: for Dave the IT guy!
Omg I think that was from me, I was looking at that sofa...I have a turquoise color scheme...how did it get here? I better delete my browser stuff or you guys will be seeing shoes for days!
ATL, that is so true! The ads don't bother me. I scroll & roll.![]()
Me, too ..... right to the next page because I think I am at the bottom of the current page. Duhhh.... this is going to take me a while to get used to. :giggle:
Me too! Gotta check the scroll bar on the right.

I'm on a Dell and having the same issues. Couldn't get on at all today because the page kept locking my computer up. Had to restart my computer 4 times, and every single time I came back to WS, it froze my system. I finally just had to give up.
Even when I could get on the past week, I couldn't read or post because the page just kept loading and reloading. Tried refreshing, leaving the site and coming back in...nothing helped.
The ads themselves don't bother me, I can tune those out. But as things are now, WS is running so poorly for me, I can barely use it at all. Just typing this short post has taken me about 3 minutes while I wait for the words I've already typed to appear.
