Advertisments are Coming....

Hi Tricia
I think that is a wonderful idea, actually a lot of us have shops or sell online possibly we could purchase some of the advertisement I mean it looks as though there are enough people on here that it would benefit us all.

This is my first official post here! New Kid on the Block!
First, thank-you for allowing me to join WS. This is an awesome community to belong to.

I have absolutely no problem with advertisments. I hope it works out well.

I also love the idea of T-shirts, bummper stickers, keychains, coffee mugs etc. I would definately be a shopper!

Another thought that may be of interest?? Have you considered a premium service (WS Plus) for a small fee--$15 to $20 for a year? The premium service could offer Plus forums only for plus members and guests could not access. I have noticed some complaints from members about the guests causing them to be unable to get in the forums. I would definately pay a premium for this service.

Of course, I have no experience with web hosting so have no idea what this would entail?? It's just a thought!

Thanks again for this site-- I LOVE it!

Perhaps we could buy a listing on a directory page on ws. That way we could support each other if we have a small business etc. It would be unobtrusive, if it had it's own page.

Also maybe have a dedication page where maybe we can purchase an 'in memory of block'.

That way we aren't actually donating, we are purchasing something. So if you have to ban us you still can :)

I just thought of something! :waitasec:

I have tons of clutter around my house I've been trying to get rid of for ages.... :bang:

I could box it all up, send it to you, you can sell it at a garage sale, and keep the money for WS!

How's that for a good idea? :woohoo:

OMG...Thank you so much but please do not send any things for me to sell.

I have two full storage sheds, birmming over, with stuff. I am overwhelmed with stuff.

The thought is so sweet. Thank you.

Tricia,

If there is anyway that I can help, I will do my best. I am a programmer, not too good with design stuff (actually I suck at the pretty pictures) but am good with raw html and several programming languages.

If I can help, let me know.

Also I work for a Web Design and markeing company. I might be able to get some good pricing on printed materials like the bracelets, bumper stickers, etc. I have some sources for these materials. I know that I would love to have a "I spend all my time at Websleuths.com" or "I'd rather be sleuthing at websleuths.com" t-shirt and would definitely buy one.

I also would not mind advertising on the site. I would suggest contacting Mr. TP and LP. I would think that Bondsman who have people who have skipped out on them and BH's who hunt them down would be interested in advertising/promoting a site that does what this site does. They could also benifit from what the members of websleuths find out about missing people and that may be able to be expanded to include those that they need to find.

Tricia, so many have responded to you here. I am so proud to be a member. I have multiple talents with web pages, etc. Please, just let us know what you need and we can and will help. We are all here for a reason, and we all can contribute, just like you said. Please let us help. Maybe you have ideas based on your own inner most feelings of how help could be most provided. We have law backgrounds, we all have contributions we can make in some fashion. I want to help if you will let me. I have many contacts in affluent positions in North Carolina. I am also a graphic designer and music teacher for voice and piano. Please email me if you come up with a way NC can help you in your situation. Luv and prayers...

WOW...WS's t-shirts!!!! Awww, come on Mom....PWEEEEEZE??????? That would be such a good idea for SO many reasons, seriously. We can help the board, you don't feel obligated to refrain from banning someone, AND what if we're out and about in our shirts!!! We'll get to meet the people we talk to ALL the time!!!! And...it gets the board more exposure. We could have a contest and everyone could submit a design...then we vote!!!
:praying:

pwitty pweeze?

Welcome Twelbo! So happy to hear you love our little space in cyber space:)

Thank you for the suggestion. I have given my word that I would never charge for posting in any way so therefore, even though it is a great idea, I am going to go another avenue but thanks again.

Tricia:

I really like the idea of a 'Websleuths' coffee mug. I think you should really think about that. I'm sure a lot of people here would want one. You could make it the design, sort of, like the front page or that logo at the top of this page. I think it's kinda' catchy.

Really Tricia. There are many of us who would want a t shirt or a coffee mug AND it would help get the word out about Websleuths site as well.

Please consider this. :)

fran

PS...I believe other posters have provided where you could get this done and make it available. Then advertise them on your own website!

Don't worry Fran. We are going to do this. Some great members of WS are going to help get this up and running.

Coffee mugs, t-shirts ... I cannot wait to be able to buy that stuff!!! You should add bumper stickers, tank tops .... I hope this works out for you Tricia because I'd hate to lose Websleuths after just recently finding it!

Oh, and what about a screen saver with the logo for download purchase? I have no technical knowledge whatsoever, so don't know anything about this but thought it might a be good idea.

Advertisements? Great idea!!!! I actually look at some of those things, and organizations like some of the netdetective and information gathering organizations (Intellius for example) would be stupid to not advertise here. And PLEASE toss my name in the hat for coffee mugs, t-shirts (tank tops too please???), bumper stickers, mouse pads, etc. I would buy ALL of that, and I would give it as gifts to other people I know. Fantastic idea. You know, the coroner's office in LA has a gift shop to help raise funds - I believe it is called something like Skeleton's in the Closet or something catchy like that. Maybe, they would want to advertise here. I visited them once, and I still have a beach towel with the outline of a body drawn on it, and LA County Coroner's office written on it. I am excited about the future of WebSleuths. And Tricia - we don't often take time to tell you this, but you are enormously important in our lives, so if you need anything; you have an extended family here in us. :blowkiss:

I kinda like this idea...But putting a different spin to it, how about selling 'charter' memberships? I dunno, anyone who pays the fee gets a gold star by their nickname so when the rest of the world finally shows up (the other 2 or 300 who haven't registered this month) we can say "nyaah nyaah, we were here fiiiirrsst..........."

Maybe we could have decoder rings and ID cards and first dibs on the Tricia G swimsuit calendar.

LOL. OMG. The last thing this cruel world needs is a TG swimsuit calendar. LOL.

Thank you so much. I know you all care a great deal about Websleuths and the people that post and work here. Thank you for your kind words

Gee, with all the t-shirts and stuff Tricia would be selling, she could afford a new bigger server and be able to live!! With all your products out there for advertising you would NEED a bigger server! I would love love love to have a t-shirt (as long as I can paypal it, cause I dont have a credit card anymore.....LOL)
I also commend you for the great work here at the site, its addicting and amazing how this site works, and the super sleuthers that are on here!!

I think that advertisements are a wise solution and, in my view at least, not unwelcome.

And, Tricia, be gentle with yourself in times of trouble.

And, of course, thanks......

Thank you for such a wonderful site and all you do for us so that we can share ideas. Anything you need to do, we're behind you. I'd love to buy some t's or sweatshirts, whatever you'd like to sell. Many of us have "been there done that" in the divorce business so we can relate.

Maybe we should also get Padilla to advertise their bond agency here since Tony was so impressed with the job you're doing!

God bless and thank you for what you do here!
